- Exercise extreme precaution when moving an appliance that contains hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than that for which the product has been designed.
- This product is not to be used by children or other persons without assistance or supervision if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities hinder its safe use. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Carefully read the instructions for use before starting to use the fryer, and keep these instructions, including the guarantee, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner packaging. If you give this appliance to another person, include the instructions for use with it.
- This electrical appliance has been designed exclusively for domestic use and for the purpose indicated. This fryer is not suitable for industrial use. Do not use outdoors. Keep away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (do not immerse in any liquid) and from sharp edges. Do not use with wet hands. If the appliance becomes damp or wet, unplug it immediately.
- For cleaning and storage, turn off the appliance and always unplug it when not in use (pulling the plug, not the cord), and remove all accessories.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during operation. If you need to leave the room, make sure the appliance is switched off. Unplug it.
- Periodically check that there is no damage to the exterior of the appliance or the power cord. If you notice any damage, do not use the appliance.
- Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. Always use the services of an authorised technician. To avoid risk, only the manufacturer, their authorised technical service, or a qualified person should change a defective cord, replacing it always with the same type of cord.
- Only use original spare parts.
- Always keep the packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene) out of the reach of children to ensure their safety.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or who lack sufficient experience and knowledge, unless supervised by a person responsible for their safety or unless they have been instructed on how to use the appliance.
Children must be supervised at all times to ensure that they do not use the appliance as a toy.
SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS APPLIANCE
- Never add water to the oil.
- Oils and fats may catch fire if they become too hot. Be careful! Do not forget to turn off the appliance when you are finished using it! First set the thermostat at the minimum temperature and then unplug the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance with an external timer or a remote control system.
APPLICATION
This appliance is used for cooking food in a large amount of oil. It has been exclusively designed for this purpose and should only be used for this purpose and used only in the way described in the instructions. This fryer is not for industrial use. Any other use of this fryer is unsuitable and may cause material damage or even personal injury.
PREPARING THE FRYER
Before first use
- Remove the packaging. Take the lid off the fryer. Inside you will find a basket. Remove all objects from the fryer.
- It is strongly recommended to clean the lid, casing, bowl and basket as described in the Cleaning section.
- Remove the power cable from its compartment.
Electrical connection
- Check that the appliance voltage (see rating plate) is compatible with that of the mains supply.
- The plug should only be connected to a properly installed and grounded power outlet of 220-240V~50/60Hz.
Connected power
The total energy consumption of this appliance may reach up to 1,800 W. With this connected load we recommend a separate supply line protected by a 10 A domestic circuit-breaker.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION:
- If using extension cords, these must have a cable section of at least 1.5 ~mm .
- Do not use extension sockets, as this appliance is too powerful.
Usage tips
- Before connecting the heat programme the fryer should always be full of oil.
- Always remove any food residue remaining in the oil (e.g. chips). Change the oil after a few uses. Use high-quality oil for frying.
- The oil used must be able to withstand high temperatures. Do not use margarine or butter: they are not suitable for frying, because they start to burn at low temperatures. We recommend using liquid oil for frying.
- To reduce the acrylamide content of foods that contain starch (e.g. potatoes, cereals) the temperature should not exceed 170^ (or 175^ perhaps). You should fry for the least time possible, cooking the foods only until they are a golden colour.
- Remember, the safety button (9) activates when the control element (12) is inserted in the guide mechanism (13).
- Select the correct temperature for frying and check the food you wish to cook. In general, pre-cooked food requires higher temperatures than raw food.
- Do not move the fryer whilst the oil is still hot.
-
When frying breaded foods, remove any excess coating and place the portions carefully in the oil.
-
Make sure that the basket handle (7) is correctly placed Squeeze the two prongs of the handle at the same time Insert these prongs into the corresponding brackets inside the basket.
- The basket (3) should not be filled more than 2/3 of its capacity. Do not overload the basket.
- Dry moist food items with a cloth before frying them.
PRECAUTION
If the food items are too moist (e.g. frozen chips) they may create a large amount of foam which, in certain circumstances, could cause the oil to spill over.
USE
- Make sure that the appliance is turned off and unplugged (the power-on indicator (1) is off).
- Remove the lid of the fryer.
- Remove the basket and fill the bowl with oil (maximum 2 litres). The fill level should be somewhere between the minimum and maximum levels.
- Connect the plug to a power outlet. The power-on indicator light will come on (1). Set the desired temperature by turning the temperature thermostat (2).
- Once the desired temperature has been reached, carefully place the basket (3) into the hot oil with the food you wish to fry.
- Once the set time has elapsed (see food product packaging or recipe) hang the basket (3) in the body of the fryer (4).
- Let the oil drain off.
- To switch off the fryer, turn the temperature thermostat (2) to position "O" and always unplug the appliance. Wind up the cord in the compartment designed for this purpose (10).
Warning:
Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
PRECAUTION:
- Do not use a hard brush or any abrasive material.
- Do not use abrasive or acidic detergents.
- Do not put this appliance into water under any circumstances.
Oil bowl (6)
To change the oil, remove the oil bowl (6) from the fryer and discard the oil. Clean the bowl (6), the lid (5), and the body of the fryer (4) using a damp cloth and a household detergent if necessary.
The basket (3) can be cleaned the usual way in soapy water.
Fryer body (4)
After use, clean the fryer body with a slightly damp cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
The fryer doesn't work:
- Check that it is connected to the mains.
- Check the position of the thermostat.
Other possible causes:
- The appliance has a safety switch.
- This prevents the heating element from switching on accidentally.
- Check that the control element is properly placed.
Protection against overheating:
- If the fryer is turned on accidentally without any oil inside, the overheating protection system will immediately be activated. You will not be able to use the fryer. Unplug it.
- Wait for the fryer to cool down completely. Then press the RESET button (8) located on the back of the control element (12) to be able to use the fryer again.
REFERENCE TABLE
The frying times indicated in the table are provided as a guideline only.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Regularly clean the inside and outside of the fryer.

- Never use abrasive cleaners or sponges.
- The basket (3) and the handle (7) can be cleaned with warm water and soap. Dry well before using again.
- When changing the oil you can also clean the inside of the oil bowl (6). Empty the fryer and clean the inside with a paper towel first and then with a cloth moistened with soapy water. Allow to dry completely.
