How to assemble the Palson Ellegance vertical steamer?

Insert the telescopic bars into the two bases separately and tighten. Unlock the extension, stretch the bar to the desired length and lock. Insert the hanger into the upper part of the bar. Screw the steam hose to the base by turning clockwise.

What water to use in the tank?

You can use normal tap water. If the water is very hard, mix it with an equal amount of distilled water. Do not fill with hot water.

Why doesn't the indicator light turn on?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and that the steam selector is on a position (1 or 2). If it does not work, check the house fuse. If the problem persists, contact an official technical service.

What to do if steam comes out with dirt?

This may indicate that the tank is damaged. Replace the tank with a new one.

How to clean the appliance?

Always unplug before cleaning. Clean with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaner. Do not rinse under tap water. Dry completely before reuse.

Why does water come out of the steam hose?

This may be due to horizontal movement (always use vertically) or a poorly positioned steam nozzle. Reposition the nozzle and use the appliance in vertical movements from top to bottom.

What to do if steam is weak?

Check the electrical power of your home. If it is sufficient, the hose may be blocked: clean it carefully.

Can I use the appliance without water?

No, never use it with an empty tank. This could damage the appliance.

What to do if water leaks at the hose connection?

Check the O-ring: if it is damaged, replace it. Otherwise, tighten the hose connection.

Turn the steam selector to the 'O' position. The indicator light will turn off. Then unplug the power cord.

IMPORTANT

Carefully read the instructions for use before starting to use the vertical iron, and keep these instructions, including the guarantee, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner packaging. If you give this appliance to another person, include the instructions for use with it.

Warning

• Do not place the appliance or let it fall into water or any other liquid.
• Do not fill the water tank with hot water as it may deform it.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or rinse it under the tap.
• Be careful with the hot steam that is released, it may cause burns.
• Do not use the vertical iron if the water tank is empty.
• You can use normal tap water, but if the water in your area is very hard then we recommend that you mix it with an equal amount of distilled water.
• Always move the iron upwards and downwards in a vertical position. Do not use a horizontal movement as it could cause water to spill from the steam nozzle.
• Do not touch the hot plastic parts or the steam nozzle while the appliance is in use. Be careful when turning the tank (8) as it could contain hot water.
• Do not pull the steam hose (3) when the appliance is in use.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the appliance is suitable for the local power supply.
• Do not use the appliance if the plug, main power cord or other parts are damaged.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Always use the services of an authorised technical service. To avoid risk, only the manufacturer, their authorised technical service, or a qualified person should repair the product or change a defective cord, replacing it always with another of the same type.
• Keep the appliance and power cord out of the reach of children.
• Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
• Do not connect the appliance or use it if your hands are wet.
• Connect the appliance only to a grounded outlet. Always ensure that the plug is properly inserted into the wall socket.
• Do not place the appliance on or near flammable materials, e.g. a tablecloth or curtain.
• Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than that stated in this manual.
• No not leave the appliance operating unattended.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Insert the telescopic poles (3) into the two bases separately, and press them down firmly.

2. Release the extension lock (4). Extend the telescopic pole (3) to the desired length. Lock the extension (4).

3. Insert the hanger (2) into the upper part of the telescopic pole (6). Make sure it is securely in place.
4. Attach the end of the hose (3) to the base of the hose by twisting it, turn the attachment in a clockwise direction until the hose is connected firmly to the base (9).
5. Fill the water tank (8) up to the maximum level.
6. Put the lid on the water tank (8). Put the tank back on the base (9).
7. Turn the steam selector (10) to the right, to position "1" for the steam to be released gradually, and to position "2" for more steam flow. The indicator light will come on. You can adjust the temperature of the steam according to the type of fabric. After use, turn to "O" to switch it off.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
2. Do not rinse the appliance under the tap. Clean and dry the appliance with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning liquid. Do not use aggressive liquids, such as petrol, etc.
3. Make sure the appliance is completely dry before storing.
4. If you haven't used it for a while, clean the appliance and the water reservoir.
