How to use the Orbegozo HU 2031 humidifier?

Place the base on a flat surface, fill the tank with cold tap water (no additives), replace it on the base, plug in the appliance and adjust the steam output with the rotary knob. Make sure the nozzle is not directed at walls or furniture.

What to do if my humidifier does not produce steam?

First check that the appliance is plugged in and turned on. If the red light is on, the tank is empty: fill it. If the tank is full but no steam, the transducer may be dirty: clean it gently. See the troubleshooting table in the manual.

Why does the humidifier produce a bad odor?

This can happen if the appliance is new: leave the tank open in the shade for 12 hours. If the odor persists, the water is dirty or stagnant: clean the tank and change the water regularly.

How to clean the humidifier?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Wipe the exterior with a soft damp cloth (a little dish soap if necessary). Rinse the tank with clean water after each use. Never immerse the base. Use a soft cloth for the transducer, without abrasive products.

What does the red light mean?

The red light comes on when the water tank is empty. The appliance automatically stops steam production to prevent damage. Fill the tank with cold water to resume normal operation.

Can the humidifier be used in a child's room?

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. What exactly is Relative Humidity?

Relative humidity is the percentage of the actual water vapor contains to the saturated water vapor contains under the same definite temperature and space. We normally mark it with % RH . Atmospheric air always contains water vapor, the percentage of which depends on the meteorological conditions. The higher the temperature is the more the air keeps water vapor. Therefore, we use the concept of "relative humidity".

When the cold air is heated up to the comfort temperature in winter, the relative percentage of the water vapor falls, which means, the relative humidity drops. In order to keep a comfortable and health environment at home, we need some artificial addition of water or water vapor to room air – that's air humidification.

USER INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place the base of unit on a smooth level surface.
2. Remove the water tank and fill using the water filling hatch from underneath the tank.
3. Pour plain cold tap water into the tank.
4. Always use distilled water and never add anything to the water (e.g. salt, oils, perfumes, etc ...).
5. Ensure that you tighten the cap on the filling hatch securely.

3. The mist intensity can be adjusted by turning the Mist Intensity Control knob until the desired amount of mist is emitted from the nozzle.
4. Ensure that the mist output nozzle is directed away from walls and furniture.
5. When the humidifier runs out of water, the appliance will automatically switch off the steam production mechanism and indicator light will light in red.
6. The steam production time and emission quantity may vary depending on the water hardness.

OTHER FEATURES

In cold weather, windows, and even some walls may fog or develop frost from excessive indoor humidity. If this occurs, reduce the mist intensity setting to avoid damage from condensed water dripping on windowsills.

Too much humidity in the room may allow moisture to accumulate on surfaces where bacteria and fungi can grow. Collected moisture may also harm furniture, and walls, especially wallpaper.

To eliminate too much humidity, especially in a small room, leave the room door open, add adjust the mist intensity control setting.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Switch the appliance off and unplug it.
2. Wipe the body of the appliance off with a soft damp cloth. If necessary use a little washing-up liquid.
3. Rinse the water tank with clean water after each use. To dry for storage, wipe with a soft clean cloth.
4. Do not use detergents to clean any part of the unit that normally contains water. Detergents can interfere with the performance of the unit.
5. Do not immerse the humidifier in water or any other liquid.
6. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
