Special Safety Instructions

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance, electric shock, risk of fire and burns!
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose and as described in this manual.
- Place the appliance on an even and heat-resistant surface. Do not place it on top of a metal surface.
- Attention: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high during operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance during and/or immediately after operation. Danger of serious burns!
- Do not move the appliance during operation.
- Do not exceed max of measuring cup (60 g).
- Always use a flat wooden or heat resistant plastic spatula to remove the popcorn/crepes from the cooking plate. Never use any sharp or metal objects (e.g. knife, metal spatula, etc.) as they would damage the non-stick coating of plate.
- Always unplug the appliance after use and let it completely cool down before cleaning.
- Do not use the appliance close to or under inflammable objects, e.g. curtains, wall cabinets.
- During operation, never leave the appliance unattended
- Adhere to a minimum wall distance of 5cm .
- Attention: Foods with a high oil and fat content might easily ignite and catch fire.
- CAUTION: This appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as an external timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

Before First Use
Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete. Fully unwind the power cord (9) and connect the appliance to a properly installed wall socket. Do not use the appliance if it shows any signs of damage.
The cooking plate (5) has a protective coating. To remove the protective layers on the heating elements, apply some oil on the cooking plate (5) using a brush or a piece of paper kitchen towel and heat up the cooking plate (5) for about 5 minutes. This could cause a slight build-up of smoke and odour. This doesn't cause any harm nor does it mean that your appliance does not work properly. Make sure that the room is well ventilated!
After this process your popcorn maker is ready for operation.
Once the appliance has completely cooled down, clean it as described under Cleaning and Care.

Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and
babies, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
Operation

The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high
during operation. Therefore, do not touch the appliance
during and/or immediately after operation.
Tip: Make sure to gather all your supplies needed for making popcorn (popcorn, measuring spoon for popcorn and oil, cooking oil, etc.), before switching on the appliance.
- Place the appliance on an even and heat-resistant surface. Do not place it on top of a metal surface.
- Fill the measuring spoon (8) with some oil than a tbsp.) and pour the oil on the cooking plate (5).
- Fill the popcorn measuring cup (7) with popcorn kernels and pour them on the oiled cooking plate (5). Do not exceed the max. amount of one cup (60 g).
- To close the appliance attach the bowl (1) to the base (6). Press it slightly down and turn it clockwise securely engaged. Pay attention to the lock symbol on the appliance. Make sure that the bowl is properly secured on the base.
- Remove the lid (2) from the bowl (1) to allow the steam to vent from the bowl.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed and accessible socket.
- Switch the appliance on by pressing the On/Off (3) button. The indicator light (4) lights up in red and the heating up process starts.
- After approx. 1 12 - 2 minutes the indicator light (4) goes off and the heating up process is finished.
- In order to avoid popcorn sticking to the plate (5) and burn, hold the appliance on its handle and gently shake it occasionally.
- It will take approx. 5 - 6 minutes for the popcorn kernels to pop.
- Once the kernels have popped, switch off the appliance, disconnect it from the mains and re-attach the lid (2) to the popcorn bowl (1).
- Hold the appliance firmly by its handle and carefully flip the appliance 180^ . Use pot handlers to avoid burns.
- Remove the bowl (1) from the appliance by turning the bowl (1) into anti-clockwise direction.
The popcorn bowl (1) can now be used to serve your popcorn in. Enjoy!
Before continuing to make more popcorn, let the appliance cool down for approx. 10 minutes.
You can also use the appliance to prepare some crêpes!

During this process the bowl will not be attached to
the appliance!
Tip: Prepare your crêpes batter in advance.
- Place the appliance on an even and heat-resistant surface. Do not place it on top of a metal surface.
- Fill the measuring spoon (8) with some oil (not more than a tbsp.) and pour the oil on the cooking plate.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed and easily accessible socket.
- Switch the appliance on by pressing the On/Off (3) button. The indicator light (4) lights up in red and the heating up process starts.
- After approx. 112 - 2 minutes the indicator light (4) goes off and the heating up process is finished.
- Add some batter on the cooking plate (5) and ev distribute it with the crêpe spreader (10) on the cooking plate (5). Bake it golden brown on both sides. As crêpes have to be thin, do not add too much batter, in order to avoid overflowing. Only use a heat resistant plastic spatula or a wooden spatula, when turning and removing the crêpes.
- Once the baking process is finished, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains.
Thermostat:

During operation, an integrated thermostat switches the
appliance on and off to ensure a constant temperature. This is
indicated by the indicator light (4) cycling on and off.
Popcorn varieties
Sweet / Salty
30 g butter
20 g sugar or salt
(or use less acc. to your liking)
1 tbsp water
Combine the butter, sugar/salt, water and heat gently
combined. Leave to cool and stir. Pour the mixture over the
popcorn and coat thoroughly.
Chocolate
90 g butter
40 g sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Combine the butter, sugar, cocoa powder and heat gently
until melted. Leave to cool and stir. Pour the mixture over the
popcorn and coat thoroughly.
Chilli Lime
30 g butter
1 tbsp of chilli pepper
1 / 2 tbsp. salt
Zest of 2 limes
Heat the butter until melted. Combine the chilli pepper, salt and lime zest. Pour the melted butter over the popcorn, add the chili lime mixture and coat thoroughly.
These are only a few options, create your popcorn variety to your own liking!
Crêpes Recipe
Ingredients:
1 egg
125 ml milk
4 tbsp mineral water
pinch of salt
50 g flour
Preparation:
Mix egg, milk, water and salt. Add the flour and mix it until the batter is smooth. Let the batter rest for approx. 10 minutes.
Cleaning and Care
Due to hygienic reasons clean your appliance on a regular basis, best after each use, and remove any food residues. Not doing so could possibly result in a hazardous situation.

Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance, at it from the mains and let it completely cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
When cleaning the appliance or accessories never use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects.
Clean the base (6) and the plate (5) with a moistened soft cloth.
The Popcorn kernel measuring cup (7) and oil measuring spoon (8) as well as the bowl (1) can be cleaned in warm water using some dishwashing detergent. They are not dishwasher safe.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by a user without supervision.
Storage
Disconnect the appliance from the mains after each use and let it completely cool down.
Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
Disposal Instructions

Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately. Therefore, please return this device at the end of its life cycle to special collection
points for disposal or your local dealer.
