MISE EN MARCHE/ARRÊT

- Read all instructions before using.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

- Please read these instructions before use and follow them carefully.

○ Make sure that the mains voltage is the same as the voltage specified on the appliance's rating label.

- Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains.

During use, place the food slicer on a hard, even surface (kitchen worktop).

• Do not place the food slicer next to a sink filled with water.
• Do not clean or remove the blade unless the appliance is switched off and has been unplugged.
• Never immerse the food slicer in water or clean it under running water.
  ○ If the food slicer is accidentally dropped or if there is visible damage to the exterior of the housing or cable, it must be checked by a specialist.
• After use, always put the stop plate back in the 0-position.

NOTE

• The food slicer is a household appliance and is not intended for commercial use.
  o The food slicer is designed to operate for no longer than 10 minutes at a time.

SETTING UP YOUR FOOD SLICER

- Place your appliance on an even and clean work surface. Before using it for the first time, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and dry it.

□SLIDING CARRIAGE AND FOOD HOLDER

- Hook the sliding carriage (10) into the side guide at an angle and fold down. To cut the food, you must place the food holder (9) on the sliding carriage.

Do not remove the sliding carriage (10) or food holder (9) unless you are cutting bread that does not allow use of the sliding carriage or food holder due to its size or shape.

□SWITCHING ON / OFF

- Push the safety switch (1) forward into position "I" and hold this position. Now press the pressure switch (2) down and release the safety switch (1). The pressure switch (2) now automatically stays on and the food slicer is ready for use. To turn it off again, push the safety switch (1) forward again. This releases the pressure switch (2) and the safety switch automatically returns to the "0" position.

THICKNESS SETTING

- Use the thickness setting knob (7) to adjust the slicer to the desired thickness at any point of the scale (0 - 25 mm). For safety reasons, you must always put the stop plate (6) in the zero position after use.

□CLEANING AND CARE

o Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
o The sliding carriage (10) and food holder (9) can be removed.
To remove the serrated blade (5), turn the blade lock (8) with a coin in a clockwise direction until the lock is released. Now remove the serrated blade (5) carefully from the holder.
o Caution! The blade is extremely sharp. Handle it carefully: Risk of injury!

The blade, sliding carriage and food holder can be washed. The motor housing must never come into contact with water. Simply wipe it with a damp cloth. You can reassemble the food slicer after all individual parts have dried. Turn the blade lock

DISPOSAL

- For proper disposal, the unit is to return to the dealer, the service agent or the company Rotel AG.

o Warranty commitment

We commit ourselves to repairing this device for free provided it has been handled properly and a failure has occurred within the period of warranty. We repair all defects caused by material or manufacturing faults. The warranty will be performed by repair or replacement of defective parts at our discretion. A warranty does not cover damage due to parts worn-off and damage and defects that occur due to improper usage, treatment or maintenance (particularly calcification and commercial use). A warranty will only be granted if the warranty card showing the date of purchase, dealer's stamp and signature or the purchase receipt together with the device is sent to the relevant service station (see address below). Returns are to be made in the original package. Transport costs will be borne by the purchaser. Please do not forget to state your address and, should the error not be obvious, include an explanation together with your parcel.
