How to install the HCT 64 F L SS hood?
Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel. Respect the minimum distance between the hood and the cooktop: 50 cm for electric cooktops, 65 cm for gas or mixed models. Use the provided screws and an exhaust duct of the same diameter as the collar (12.5 cm). Connect the hood to an accessible wall socket or via a standard circuit breaker.
What is the minimum distance to maintain between the hood and the cooktop?
For electric cooktops, the minimum distance is 50 cm. For gas or mixed cooktops, the minimum distance is 65 cm. If the cooktop manufacturer's instructions specify a greater distance, that takes precedence.
How to clean the grease filters?
The metal grease filters must be cleaned at least once a month. Use non-aggressive detergents, by hand or in the dishwasher at low temperature and quick cycle. Dishwashing may cause discoloration, but filtering performance remains unchanged.
When and how to replace the charcoal filter?
The activated charcoal filter must be replaced at most every 4 months (or sooner with heavy usage). It cannot be cleaned or regenerated. To replace it, turn the circular filter clockwise to install, counterclockwise to remove.
What to do if the hood does not work?
First check that there is no power outage and that a speed has been selected. Disconnect the hood for about 5 seconds then reconnect. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
How to replace the hood's light bulb?
Before any intervention, disconnect the hood and make sure the bulb is cool. Remove the suction grille to access the bulb. Replace it with an LED bulb of type 3W-E14 maximum. Refer to the ILCOS D documentation for more details.
Can I use the hood in recirculation mode without a kit?
No, the hood is supplied in extraction mode. To use it in recirculation mode, you need to install an accessory kit including an activated charcoal filter (sold separately or sometimes included). Follow the conversion instructions in the manual.
What to do if the lighting does not come on?
Before contacting after-sales service, check that the bulbs are properly inserted in their sockets. If they are and the lighting remains off, replace the bulb with a new identical one (LED 3W-E14). Make sure the hood is powered on.
Can I use the hood without filters?
No, it is dangerous to use the hood without filters in place. The grease filters protect the motor and reduce fire risk. The hood must never be used without the grille and filters properly installed.
