> SAFETY MEASURES

• The 2-in-1 advance lady shaver and epilator has been designed for body hair removal. It has not been designed for commercial use.
• The device complies with all relevant safety standards. Nevertheless use the device only in compliance with the safety information and as described in this instruction leaflet!

• This device is suitable for both wet and dry shaving, epilation and it is splash proof. It can, for example, be used in the shower; must not, however, be allowed to submerge completely in water!

• This device is not intended to be used by persons, including children, whose physical, sensory or mental capacity is impaired, or who lack the necessary

experience or knowledge, even when a person responsible for their safety supervises them and gives them clear instructions for the use of the device.

Children should not have access to the device, nor should they play with it.
- Packaging material, including plastic bags, must be stored out of the reach of children.
- To ensure additional protection have installed in your bathroom a residual current device (RCD) with a nominal trip current no higher than 30mA . Ask your electrical fitter for advice.
- You must use the device only for its intended purpose to prevent hazardous situations.
- Check the product immediately after unpacking for any damage caused during transport or for completeness. If the packaging is not complete or the product is damaged, please contact the retailer a.s.a.p.

• The mains voltage must match the voltage specified on the product.
• Switch off the device when the device is not in use, even for a brief period.
• Never leave the device unattended.
• Store the device in a safe place to prevent accidental erroneous use.
• Never use the device when it is damaged. Regularly check the device for damage. Repairs must be performed exclusively by experts. Repairs that are inexpertly performed can be very hazardous for the user.
  If the device is damaged, contact the supplier to find out if you can still use it.
• Do not insert the plug in the wall socket when:
• the lead is damaged;
• the device is visibly damaged;
• the device has fallen.
  Overheating or smell are both indications of a developing electrical defect.
• Do not allow the device to come into

contact with clothing or any other objects this can cause risk of injury and the efficient function of the device may also be adversely effected.

• Do not use any accessories other than those recommended by Carmen.
• There is always risk of injury when using the electrical device improperly!
• Do not expose the device to heat (radiator, oven, etc.), direct sunlight or humidity.
• Keep the device clean and do not use abrasives or products containing solvents.

> SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Prearrangement: The device has to be fully charged.

Connect the main adaptor to the charger and the device and allow it to charge for 90 minutes before using it for the

first time. A red LED will light up on the charger to indicate that the appliance is being charged. When charging is finished the light will light up green.

• Clean the device after every use!
• Do not use any lotions that contain alcohol either immediately before or after shaving.
• To avoid any possible skin irritations do not press the foil too hard against the skin.
• Only charge the rechargeable battery when it is almost empty. This will prevent premature wear and tear of the rechargeable battery. Do not leave the charger plugged in all the time.

> DIRECTION FOR USE

1. Before beginning, thoroughly wash the areas of the body to be shaved, to remove any traces of personal care

products (e.g. deodorant) and dry the skin with a towel. According to the device design and type the device can be used wet and dry.

1. First choose the head of reference. The lady shaver or the epilator and remove the protective cover.
2. Press the safety lock button and slide up the on/off/2 setting speed button to turn the device on, select speed 1 or 2 (1: fine hair/2: coarse hair). When pressing the silver button the speed accelerates.
3. Dry shaving : When dry shaving, make sure that the skin is washed thoroughly and is absolutely dry. Use the switch to turn on the device. Pull your skin taut using your free hand to make the hairs lift up. To use in the armpit area stretch your arm up over your head Guide the lady shaver smoothly and without undue pressure over the skin so that both the

longer and shorter hairs are cut evenly. Use the device against the direction of the growth of hair.

1. Wet shaving: Device is also suitable for wet shaving e.g. in the shower, make sure that the skin is washed thoroughly. Use the switch to turn the device on. Pull your skin taut using your free hand to make the hairs lift up. To use in the armpit area stretch your arm up over your head. Guide the lady shaver smoothly and without undue pressure over the skin so that both the longer and shorter hairs are cut evenly. Use the device against the direction of the growth of hair. Best results are achieved when soap or shaving foam are used. But the device must not be totally submerged in the water.

2. Epilator: Before epilating, thoroughly clean the respective area to remove

residues (like deodorant). When epilating the underarm, keep your arm raised up so that the skin is stretched and guide the appliance in different directions.

As skin may be more sensitive directly after epilation, avoid using irritating substances such as deodorants with alcohol. Epilate your legs from the lower leg in an upward direction. When epilating behind the knee, keep the leg stretched out straight.

1. Turn the device off and clean the device with the attached cleaning brush.

> HINTS AND TIPS

If your hair is long (longer than 1cm we recommend cutting it with scissors or shaver head before using the epilator.
After hair removal, we recommend using a moisturizing mike to soften your skin.

> CLEANING AND MAINTRANCE

• Clean the device after every use! It can be cleaned wet or dry.
• Press the device release buttons to remove the head. Tap the bottom of the shaver head gently on a flat surface (not on the foil).
• Dry cleaning : Brush the shaving unit with the cleaning brush supplied. Also clean the area under the cutting unit and brush clean the upper cover. Press the upper cover back onto the shaver. The housing can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Place the protective cover back over the shaver before putting it away.
• Wet cleaning: Rinse the head under warm running water. A natural based soap may also be used provided it contains no particles or abrasive

substances. Rinse off all foam.

Remove remaining hair from the housing with the brush. Leave the shaver to dry and then replace the trimming head or epilator. Replace the protective cover before putting the shaver away.

• The shaving parts need to be lubricated regularly every 3 months. If you clean the shave head under running water, lubricate it after each cleaning. Apply some light machine oil or Vaseline to the shaver foil and blade.
• Do not shave with a damaged foil.

> ENVIRONMENT AND WASTE

In accordance with the European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), this device is marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin indicating that this product cannot be disposed of as household waste. The device must be brought to the appropriate waste collection point for treatment, removal, and recycling of WEEE (information can be obtained at

the town hall of your domicile) or brought back to a dealer based on the principle of "1 for 1 free of charge" (the dealer's take back does not create a right to a payment or rebate). The consumer or user contributes to the preservation of the natural resources and to the protection of human health by respecting the environment in this manner.

> WARRANTY

This CARMEN device comes with a two (2)-year warranty to be counted from the date of purchase under normal conditions of use. This warranty does not cover damage directly or indirectly caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised use, accidents, unauthorised repairs or modifications, as well as a lack of maintenance. Please save your receipt/invoice as proof of your purchase. This device's accessories are not covered by a warranty. Exclusions from the warranty

• Modifications, dismantlingorintegration with another device or an assembly making the device fixed or semi-fixed,
  Normal wear and tear of the parts,
• Degradation due to improper use,
• Failure to comply with the user manual or with the maintenance and safety instructions,

• Damage caused by external factors (lightening...),
  Abnormal use of the device,
• Improper storage,
• Shocks,
