3 before the first use

Before using the multigrill for the first time, please proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging material and any promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of the reach of children. After unpacking the appliance, check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.

Place the multigrill on a flat, stable surface. Clean the exterior of the multigrill using a slightly damp cloth and then wipe it with a dry cloth. Clean the plates with a soft sponge and hot water containing a mild washing-up liquid. Tip: the plates may also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Place the multigrill on a flat, heat resistant surface. Fully unwind the cord and insert the plug in the wall socket. When used for the first time, a little smoke could come off the multigrill. This is normal and is caused by burning greases and oils that were used during the manufacture of the appliance.

4 general use

The multigrill is suitable for making waffles and toasted sandwiches and for grilling food.

CHANGING THE PLATES

  • Press the release buttons to release the plates from the appliance.
  • Select the plates that you wish to use and place them in the multigrill.

Heating up the multigrill takes approximately four minutes.

The multigrill is provided with a thermostat that controls the temperature of the appliance. When the multigrill is at the correct temperature, the green indicator led switches off.

The multigrill is now ready for use.

Caution: do not touch the metal parts and grill plates, as they get extremely hot.

12 • English

Open the multigrill and place the food, sandwich, meat or other product to be prepared on the bottom plate.

Close the multigrill and close the locking mechanism.

Grilling takes approximately three to eight minutes, depending on the type of food and your personal taste.
