Frequently Asked Questions - KXMB2030BL PANASONIC

How to install the toner cartridge and drum unit?
Shake the toner cartridge vertically at least 5 times before opening the bag. Remove the protective covers, place the cartridge into the drum unit aligning the arrows, then insert the assembly into the device ensuring the top cover is closed.
How to set the date and time?
Press [Menu], then dial [#][1][0][1] and [Set]. Enter the two digits for day, month, year, then hours and minutes. Press [Set] to confirm.
What to do in case of a paper jam?
Open the top cover, gently remove the jammed paper. If the jam is in the automatic document feeder, open the feeder cover and remove the document. Refer to section 11 of the manual for detailed procedures.
How to clean the scanner glass?
Open the document cover, clean the scanner glass and white plates with a soft dry cloth. Do not use paper products. Close the cover after cleaning.
Can I use double-sided paper?
No, avoid duplex printing. Do not use paper already printed on one side with this device, as it may cause jams.
How to connect the device to a local network (LAN)?
Connect a shielded category 5 LAN cable between the device and your router. Turn on the device. If your network uses a DHCP server, the IP address is assigned automatically. Otherwise, manually configure the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway via the menu.
What does the message 'TONER LOW' or 'TONER EMPTY' mean?
These messages indicate that the toner cartridge is low or empty. Replace it with a Panasonic KX-FAT411X cartridge as soon as possible to maintain print quality.
How to send a fax from the computer?
Install the supplied multifunction software (CD-ROM). In the software, click 'PC Fax', select the document and send it as a fax. Ensure the device is connected to the telephone line.
Which types of paper are not recommended?
Do not use paper containing more than 20% cotton, paper that is too smooth, glossy, creased, damp, or labels not suitable for laser printers. Also avoid paper already printed on one side.
How to activate the toner save function?
Press [Menu], dial [#][4][8][2] and [Set]. Select 'ON' then [Set]. This extends the cartridge life by about 20%, but may slightly reduce print quality.

The OpenssL toolkit stays under a dual licence, i.e. both the conditions of the OpenssL Licence and the original SSLeay licence apply to the toolkit. See below for the actual licence texts. Actually both licences are BSD-style Open Source licences. In case of any licence issues related to OpenssL please contact openssl-core@openssl.org.
