Frequently Asked Questions - CeneAsp RIBIMEX

What are the 4 functions of the RIBIMEX CeneAsp?
The CeneAsp is a 4-in-1 device: cold ash vacuum (fireplace, stove, barbecue), dry vacuum for dust and debris, wet vacuum for spilled liquids, and blower. This versatility makes it suitable for many uses in the home and garden.
Can hot ashes or embers be vacuumed?
No. The CeneAsp is designed for cold ashes only. Vacuuming hot ashes, embers, or burning materials may damage the device and cause a fire. Always wait until the ashes are completely cooled (at least 24 hours after the fire is extinguished) before use.
Is the CeneAsp suitable for pellet stove ashes?
No. The manufacturer Ribimex explicitly advises against using the CeneAsp for pellet ashes. Pellet ashes are very fine and can quickly clog the filter or damage the motor. Use a vacuum specifically designed for pellets.
How does the CeneAsp's dual tank work?
The CeneAsp has two separable stainless steel tanks of 15 liters each, totaling 30 liters. The upper tank collects dry debris or liquids, while the lower tank is dedicated to ash collection. The tanks can be easily separated for emptying and cleaning.
What accessories come with the CeneAsp?
The box contains:
  • 1 flexible suction hose of 1.5 m
  • 2 rigid extensions of 45 cm each
  • 1 floor brush
  • 1 ash brush
  • 1 metal hose of 1.10 m
  • 1 metal lance of 20 cm
The power cable is 4.5 m long, providing good freedom of movement.
How to empty the tanks after use?
Turn off the device and unplug it. Separate the two stainless steel tanks by unlocking the closure system. Empty each tank separately into a bag or collection bin. Before reassembling the tanks, check the filter's condition and shake or replace it if necessary.
Can the CeneAsp be used as a blower?
Yes. By reversing the suction direction (connecting the hose to the air outlet), the CeneAsp functions as a blower. This feature is useful for clearing debris in hard-to-reach areas, such as fireplace grates or barbecue ducts.
Can the CeneAsp vacuum water or other liquids?
Yes, it operates in wet mode thanks to the upper 15-liter tank. It can vacuum water, spilled liquids, or light mud. Make sure not to exceed the maximum capacity and empty the tank after each use to prevent mold development.
How to maintain the CeneAsp filter?
After each use, remove the filter and gently tap it to dislodge accumulated dust. Clean it with compressed air or rinse it with clear water (let it dry completely before reassembling). Replace the filter as soon as it is clogged or damaged to maintain suction power.
Why has the CeneAsp lost suction power?
The most common cause is a clogged filter: clean or replace it. Also, check that the tanks are not full and that the hose or extensions are not obstructed or bent. An improperly positioned tank seal may also cause a loss of suction.
Are the CeneAsp's wheels swivel?
Yes, the CeneAsp is equipped with 4 swivel wheels that allow it to move easily in all directions without having to lift it. This facilitates its use around a fireplace, stove, or in a garage.
Where to find spare parts or a replacement filter for the CeneAsp?
Replacement filters and accessories are available on the official website ribimex.fr or from specialized retailers like Spareka or FixPart. Note the exact filter reference indicated in the manual before ordering.

How to maintain the fabric filter of the RIBIMEX CeneAsp vacuum cleaner?
Frequently Asked Questions - 14/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The RIBIMEX CeneAsp 30 liters vacuum cleaner is equipped with two complementary filters: a fabric filter and a sponge filter (polyurethane) that protect the 1200W motor. Regular maintenance of the fabric filter is essential to maintain suction power and prolong the lifespan of your device.

Cleaning indicator: You will know it is time to clean the filter when the suction power significantly decreases after use. Unplug the device from the power supply before any intervention.

Cleaning procedure:

  • Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet
  • Release the two locking hooks located on each side of the top cover
  • Carefully remove the top cover
  • Gently pull out the sponge filter and the fabric filter
  • First, empty the dust from the canister by turning it upside down over a trash can
  • Shake the fabric filter vigorously outside to remove trapped dust
  • If fine particles stick to the filter, gently clean it with a soft brush using gentle motions

Important points: Never clean the fabric filter with water, chemicals, or solvents, as this could damage it and compromise its effectiveness. After cleaning, check that both filters have no holes, tears, or excessive wear. A damaged filter must be replaced immediately to ensure optimal suction and motor protection.

Reassembly: Once the filters are dry and clean, first reinstall the fabric filter, then the sponge filter in their place. Replace the top cover and tighten the two locking hooks until they click to ensure a good seal. This step is crucial for your vacuum cleaner to function properly.

Recommended frequency: Empty the canister after each prolonged use to avoid premature loss of power. Completely clean the fabric and sponge filters at least once a month depending on your usage frequency.
