Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance. Familiarise yourself with the operation, adjustments and functions of switches. Internalise and follow the safety and operation instructions in order to avoid possible risks and hazards.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  2. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  4. Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
  5. Regularly check the power plug and power cord for damage. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a danger or injury.
  6. For additional protection, we recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying power to your appliance. The installation should be done by an experienced electrician.
  7. Danger to life! Do not use the appliance close to water, bathtubs, basins or other water-filled containers. Even when switched off, if the power plug is still connected, keep the appliance away from water or other liquids.
  8. When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after every use as the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
  9. Warning! During cleaning or operation do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.

  12. Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open flames, e.g. candles, beside the appliance. Do not place objects filled with water, e.g. vases, near the appliance.
  13. Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Protect the appliance against heat and cold, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
  14. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
  15. Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
  16. Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  17. Should the appliance fall into water, unplug the power plug first before reaching into the water.
  18. Danger to life! Make sure that no objects like hair clips or hair pins are inserted into the appliance. These can cause a short-circuit.
  19. Do not use the appliance barefoot.
  20. Do not leave the appliance unattended, if it is in use or the power plug is connected to an electrical outlet.
  21. Danger of burns! Parts of the appliance become very hot during use. Handle the appliance by its handle only.
  22. During use, do not use hairspray, water vaporisers or other vaporisers close to the appliance. Only use them when the appliance is switched off and the power plug is disconnected.
  23. Do not use the appliance if you are sleepy or if there is a possibility that you will fall asleep.
  24. The appliance switches off automatically, if it is overheating. Disconnect the appliance from the power source and let it cool completely. Before using the appliance again, check if the air intake or air outlet openings are blocked by lint, hair or other objects.
  25. Let the appliance cool completely before removing or attaching parts.
  26. Make sure that hot air is not directed at eyes or other heat sensitive parts of the body. During use, ensure that hair cannot be sucked into the air intake.
  27. Do not cover the air intake and air outlet during use. Keep them free from lint and hair.

INTENDED USE

This appliance is intended for drying hair only and is not to be used for drying other objects.

Do not use it to dry pets.

Every other type of use can lead to damage to the product or injury.

OPERATION

1 Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
Switching appliance on: Set the air flow switch to 1 (low speed) or 2 (high speed). Switching appliance off: Set the air flow switch to 0.
3 Temperature: Set the temperature switch to 1 (low), 2 (medium), or 3 (high).
Cool air: Press and hold the cool shot button to activate the cool air function. Stop cool air: Release the button.
Switching appliance off: Set the air flow switch to 0.
Unplug the appliance.

Using the concentrator/diffuser

7a Attach the concentrator to the appliance.
7b Attach the diffuser to the appliance.

Warning: The concentrator and the diffuser become very hot during use! DO NOT TOUCH!

CLEANING AND CARE

Warning!

Before cleaning, make sure to switch off the appliance (level 0). Disconnect it from the electrical outlet and let it cool completely.

  • Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Clean the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture is entering the appliance during cleaning.
  • Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp implements to clean your appliance.
  • Dry the appliance thoroughly after cleaning.

Cleaning the air inlet grille

Regularly clean the air inlet grille to remove hair or lint.
Press the release button.
9 The air inlet grille is now opened.
After cleaning, close the air inlet grille.
