How to install the heating blanket?

Place the blanket flat on the mattress, first connect the switch to the heating element, then plug into the mains. Then put the sheet over it. Make sure it is flat without wrinkles.

How to adjust the temperature?

Use the + (4) and - (5) buttons on the switch. Level 1: minimum heat, level 4: maximum heat (foot area). For quick preheating, set to the highest level 30 minutes before bedtime.

What to do if the blanket stops heating?

Check that the switch is properly connected and that the ON/OFF button is set to I (on). If no LED lights up, the device is defective and must be sent to customer service.

Can I machine wash the blanket?

Yes, at 30 °C (wool program), maximum 5 times during its lifetime. Always disconnect the switch before washing. Do not use bleach, tumble drying, or ironing.

Does the blanket have automatic shut-off?

Yes, it turns off automatically after 12 hours. The LEDs then flash. To turn it back on, set the switch to position 0 for 5 seconds, then to I and select the temperature.

Is it safe for children?

Do not use for children 0 to 3 years. From 3 to 8 years, only under supervision with the lowest temperature level. From 8 years, under supervision if necessary.

What to do in case of overheating?

The ISS safety system automatically cuts off the power. If this happens, the blanket can no longer be used and must be returned to customer service.

Can I use the blanket with an adjustable bed?

Yes, but make sure the blanket and cables are not pinched in the hinges or caught.

How to store the blanket?

Let it cool down, disconnect the switch, then store it flat in its original packaging. Do not place any objects on top to avoid excessive wrinkles.

What is the warranty?

The Inventum warranty is 5 years for domestic use in the Netherlands. Keep the receipt. For other EU countries, local rules apply.

• This heated underblanket must not be used by persons who are not sensitive to heat or by other vulnerable persons who may not be able to react to overheating (e.g. diabetics, people with skin alterations due to illness or scarred tissue in the application area, after taking pain relief medication or alcohol).
• This heated underblanket must not be used by very young children (0-3 years old) as they are unable to respond to overheating.
• The heated underblanket can be used by children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age provided they are supervised. For this, the control must always be set to the minimum temperature.
• This heated underblanket may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the heated underblanket safely, and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.
  • Children must not play with the heated underblanket.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

• If the heated underblanket is being used over several hours, we recommend that you set the lowest temperature setting on the control to avoid the body overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.
• The electrical and magnetic fields emitted by this heated underblanket may interfere with the function of a pacemaker. However, they are still well below the limits: electrical field strength: max. 5000 V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80 A/m, magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 millitesla. Please therefore consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heated underblanket.
• Do not pull, twist or make sharp bends in the cables.
• If they are not positioned properly, there may be a risk of becoming entangled in, being strangled by, tripping over, or stepping on the cable and control of the heated underblanket. The user must ensure that excess lengths of cable, and cables in general, are safely routed.
• Please check this heated underblanket frequently for signs of wear and tear or damage. If any such signs are evident, if the heated underblanket has been used incorrectly or if it no longer heats up, it must be checked by the manufacturer before being switched on again.
• Under no circumstances should you open or repair the heated underblanket (including the accessories) yourself because faultless functionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to observe this will invalidate the warranty.
• The appliance may not be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.
• If the mains connection cable of this heated underblanket is damaged, it must be disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the heated underblanket must be disposed of.
• Do not expose control and cables to direct sunlight.

- When this heated underblanket is switched on:

- Do not place any sharp objects on it

- Do not place any heat sources, such as hot water bottles, heat pads or similar, on it

- The electronic components in the control warm up when the heated underblanket is in use. For this reason, the control must never be covered or placed on the heated underblanket when it is in use.

- Allow the heat pad to cool down before storing it away. Otherwise the heat pad may get damaged.

- To avoid any creasing in the heat pad, do not place any objects on top of it while it is being stored. Otherwise the heat pad may get damaged.

3 intended use

CAUTION

This electric underblanket is designed for warming beds, only.

4 operation

4.1 Safety

CAUTION

• This heated underblanket is equipped with the INVENTUM SAFETY SYSTEM (ISS). This sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heated underblanket from overheating by automatically switching off the heated underblanket in the event of a fault. If the safety system has switched off the heated underblanket, the temperature setting is not illuminated any more even when the heated underblanket is switched on.
• Please note that the heated underblanket is not operable any more due to safety reasons in this case and has to be sent to the service address indicated.
• Do not connect the defective heated underblanket with another control of the same type. This would trigger a permanent switch off via the control's safety system.

4.2 Initial use

• Spread out the heated underblanket flat onto your mattress starting at the foot end. The electric blanket can be used on both sides.
• To operate the heated underblanket connect the Control to the heated underblanket by plugging in the connector.
• Then plug in the supply plug into the mains outlet.
• Then put on your bedsheet in the usual manner so that the heated underblanket is between your mattress and the bedsheet.

CAUTION

Make sure that the underblanket is spread out entirely flat and that it will not rumple up or crease when in use. Check its position when making the bed.

4.3 Switching on

Slide the ON/OFF switch (6) on the side of the control (2) to position 1 (1), to switch the electric blanket on.

When it is switched on, the LED indicator for temperature setting 1 lights up.

4.4 Setting the temperature

Press the button (4) to increase the temperature.

Press the button (5) to decrease the temperature.

Setting 0: OFF

Setting1: minimum heat

Setting 2+3: medium heat

Stand 4: maximum heat - just the feet area

NOTE

• The quickest way to heat up the electric underblanket is to select the highest temperature setting of the control, first.
• We strongly recommend switching on the electric underblanket approx. 30 minutes before going to bed and covering it with the quilt to prevent the warmth from escaping.

CAUTION

If the heated underblanket is used continuously (for several hours) it is recommended to use the lowest setting (1) of the control to avoid the body overheating and thereby any potential burns to the skin or heat stroke.

NOTE

This heated underblanket features an automatic switch-back for safety purposes. Temperature settings 4 and 3 are automatically switched to temperature setting 2 after 3 hours.

4.5 Automatic switch off

This electric underblanket switches off automatically after 12 hours. Once the electric underblanket has switched off, it is no longer heated and the LED indicator for temperature setting 1 flashes.

To switch on the electric underblanket again, first set the ON/OFF switch on the side of the control to the OFF (0) position for 5 seconds. Then set the ON/OFF switch back to ON (1) and select the desired temperature setting.

4.6 Switching off

Slide the on-/off button (9) at the side of the control to position 0, to switch the electric blanket off.

NOTE

If the electric underblanket is not used for several days, set the ON/OFF switch to the OFF (0) position and remove the mains plug from the socket. Then remove the control from the electric underblanket by disconnecting it at the connector.

5 cleaning & maintenance

WARNING

Always remove the supply plug from the mains outlet and remove the control from the electric underblanket by disconnecting it at the connector. Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.

CAUTION

The control must never get in contact to water or other liquids. Otherwise, the control may be damaged.

• To clean the control, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Small marks on the electric underblanket can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge, or if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.

CAUTION

The electric underblanket should not be dry cleaned, wrung out, dried in the machine, mangled or ironed. Otherwise the

electric underblanket could get damaged.

• In case of heavier soiling, this electric blanket can be washed in a washing machine.
• Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle, 30 °C cycle (woolens programme). Use a wool laundry detergent and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

CAUTION

Note that excessive washing will wear out the electric blanket. For this reason, the electric blanket should only be machine-washed a maximum of 5 times throughout its entire life.

- While the electric blanket is still damp after washing, shape it to its original form and size and place it flat over a clothes drying rack to dry.

CAUTION

• Do not attach the electric underblanket to washing lines with washing pegs or similar. Otherwise the electric underblanket may be damaged.
• Only reconnect the control to the electric underblanket after the connector and the electric underblanket are completely dry. Otherwise the electric underblanket may be damaged.

WARNING

Under no circumstances switch on the electric underblanket to dry it. Otherwise, there is a risk of an electric shock.

6 storage

When not in use we recommend to store the electric underblanket in its original packaging. For this purpose, disconnect the control from the electric underblanket by unplugging the plug-in coupling.

7 disposal

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

8 problems & solutions

Display Cause Action
No control LEDs for the temperature setting indicator light up even though - the mains plug is connected to a functioning socket- the control is fully connected to the electric underblanket via the plug-in connector- the ON/OFF switch (6) is set to the ON (1) position.	The device is faulty. Send the control and electric underblanket to the Service Department.

General terms and conditions of service and warranty

5-year Inventum warranty!

1. Customers enjoy a 5-year full manufacturer's warranty on all Inventum products.
2. Within this period, a defective product or part, which makes normal functioning of the product or part impossible, will always be repaired free of charge or, if repair is not possible and/or does not provide a solution, replaced (by the same or equivalent product). The assessment of this lies with Inventum.
3. In order to make a claim under the 5-year Inventum warranty you must, within two months after discovering the fault or defect, either return the product to the shop where you bought it, or contact the Inventum customer service department by using the form at www.inventum.eu/service.
4. The warranty period starts from the date stated on the product's original sales receipt.
5. To invoke the warranty, you must always send a copy of the original proof of purchase with the service request and present the original proof of purchase to the service technician.
6. The 5-year warranty applies only to normal domestic use of Inventum products within the Netherlands.

Warranty exclusions

1. The 5-year Inventum guarantee does not apply in case of: normal wear and tear, consumables, improper use, insufficient or incorrect maintenance, incorrect and/or inexpert assembly and installation of the appliance, repairs by unauthorised third parties, business or commercial use, missing serial number, damage caused by an external cause. This enumeration is not exhaustive.
2. B-choice products and products that have been built-in in a showroom are not covered by the 5-year Inventum warranty. All optical damage such as dents, scratches and slight traces of use are excluded from any warranty.

Reporting malfunctions on Inventum products

1. Faults or defects on Inventum products can be reported by using the service request form on the website www.inventum.eu/service or through the seller of the product.
2. A copy of the original proof of purchase must be included with the request.
3. Inventum's service department determines whether the product will be repaired or replaced, based on the request and the sales receipt.

Important to know

• Products sent without prior notification will not be accepted. Further to the notification you will be informed by Inventum whether a warranty applies and whether you must return the product.
• The replacement or repair of a defective product, or a part thereof, does not lead to an extension of the original warranty period.
• Products eligible for replacement or repair must be emptied and clean.

These general warranty and service conditions apply to Inventum brand products purchased after 27 April 2022 and intended for use within the Netherlands.

For Inventum products used outside the Netherlands, but within a EU Member State, the warranty rules of that country apply. Inventum provides warranty and service by a white goods technician only in the Netherlands.

As a consumer, you are entitled by law to a properly working product. Does the product break down sooner than you might expect? This means that the product is not in conformity. In that case, the law offers you, the buyer, with a number of legal remedies for your protection. This legal protection is not affected by the above commercial warranty given by Inventum on Inventum products used within the Netherlands.
