How to adjust the temperature of the heating cushion?

Use the sliding ON/OFF switch to select the temperature level: 1 (minimum), 2 (medium), or 3 (maximum). The levels light up to indicate operation.

After how long does the heating cushion automatically turn off?

The cushion is equipped with an automatic shut-off that turns off the heating after approximately 90 minutes. The temperature levels then flash. To reuse, set the switch to 0 (OFF) for 5 seconds, then turn it on again.

Can I wash the heating cushion in the machine?

Yes, the cushion is machine washable. Use a very gentle cycle at 30°C (wool cycle) with a mild detergent. Do not wash more than 10 times during its lifespan. Do not iron, tumble dry, or dry clean.

What to do if the temperature level indicator lights do not turn on?

If the levels do not light up even though the switch is connected and the socket works, it means the SSI safety system has irreversibly disabled the cushion. You must send the device and the switch to customer service for repair.

Can I use this heating cushion if I have a pacemaker?

The emitted electric and magnetic fields are low (less than 5,000 V/m, 80 A/m, and 0.1 mT). However, consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before use.

From what age can a child use this heating cushion?

The cushion should not be used by children 0 to 3 years old. It may be used by children 3 to 8 years only under supervision and with the switch set to the lowest temperature (level 1). Children over 8 years can use it if they have been instructed on safe use.

How to clean the switch of the heating cushion?

Always unplug the cushion before cleaning the switch. Use a dry, lint-free cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or detergents, and avoid contact with water.

Is it dangerous to use the heating cushion folded or wrinkled?

Yes, never use the cushion folded, wrinkled, or with objects on top. This can cause overheating and damage the device or cause burns.

What does the flashing of the temperature levels mean?

- Under no circumstances should you open or repair the heat pad (including the accessories) yourself because faultless functionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to observe this will invalidate the warranty.

- If the mains connection cable of this heat pad is damaged, it must be disposed of. If it cannot be removed, the heat pad must be disposed of.

- When this heat pad is switched on:

- Do not place any sharp objects on it

3 intended use

CAUTION

This heating pad is only designed to warm up the human body.

4 operation

4.1 Safety

CAUTION

• The heating pad is fitted with a the INVENTUM SAFETY SYSTEM (ISS). This sensor technology provides protection against overheating across the entire surface of the heating pad with an automatic switchoff in the event of a fault. If the SAFETY SYSTEM has switched off the heating pad, the temperature settings are no longer illuminated when switched on.
• Please note that for safety reasons, the heating pad can no longer be operated after a fault has occurred and must be sent to the specified service address.
• Do not connect the defective heat pad with another control of the same type. This would trigger a permanent switchoff via the control's safety system.

4.2 Initial use

CAUTION

Ensure that the heating pad will not bunch up or become folded during use.

• First, connect the control to the heating pad by inserting the plug-in coupling.
• Then plug the mains plug into the socket.

4.3 Switching on

To switch the heating pad on, set the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to setting 1, 2 or 3. The temperature setting is illuminated when switched on.

4.4 Setting the temperature

Setting 0: OFF

Setting1: minimum heat

Setting 2: medium heat

Setting 3: maximum heat

NOTE

The fastest way to warm up the heating pad is to initially set the highest temperature setting of the control, first.

NOTE

This heating pad have a turbo function, which allows the heating pad to warm up faster in the first 10 minutes.

CAUTION

If the heating pad is being used over several hours it is recommended to use the lowest setting (1) of the control to avoid overheating the heated body part, which may lead to burns to the skin.

4.5 Automatic switch-off

This heating pad is equipped with an automatic switch-off function. This turns off the heat supply approx. 90 minutes after the initial use of the heating pad. The temperature setting display then starts to flash. So that the heating pad can be switched back on, the sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings must first be set to setting 0 (OFF). After about 5 seconds it is possible to switch it on again.

4.6 Switching off

To switch the heating pad off, set the sliding switch for ON/OFF to setting 0 (OFF) position. The temperature settings are then no longer illuminated.

NOTE

If the heating pad is not in use, switch the side sliding switch for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF (0) position and remove the mains plug from the socket. Then disconnect the control from the heating pad by unplugging the plug-in coupling.

5 cleaning & maintenance

WARNING

Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug from the socket first. Then disconnect the control from the heating pad by unplugging the plug-in coupling. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

CAUTION

- The control must never come into contact with water or other liquids. Otherwise, the control may be damaged.

To clean the control, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.

Small marks on the heating pad can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge, or if necessary, with a little liquid detergent for delicate laundry.

CAUTION

- Please note the heating pad must not be dry-cleaned, wrung out, machine dried, pressed or ironed.

In case of heavier soiling, this heating pad can be washed in a washing machine. Set the washing machine to a particularly gentle, 30 °C cycle (woolens programme). Use a wool laundry detergent and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

CAUTION

- Please note that excessive washing will wear out the heating pad. For this reason, the heating pad should only be machine-washed a maximum of 10 times throughout its entire life.

Immediately after washing, reshape the heating pad to its original dimensions while it is still damp and spread it out flat over a clothes drying rack to dry.

CAUTION

• Do not attach the heating pad to washing lines with washing pegs or similar. Otherwise the heating pad may be damaged.
• Do not reconnect the switch to the heating pad until the plug-in connection and the heating pad are completely dry. Otherwise the heating pad may be damaged.

WARNING

Under no circumstances switch on the heating pad to dry it. Otherwise, there is a risk of an electric shock.

storage

If you do not plan to use the heating pad for a long period of time, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging. For this purpose, disconnect the control from the heating pad by unplugging the plug-in coupling.

CAUTION

Please allow the heating pad to cool down first. Otherwise, the heating pad may be damaged. To avoid sharp folds in the heating pad, do not place any objects on top of it while it is being stored.

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

general terms and conditions of service and warranty

We do not need to remind you of the importance of service. After all, we develop our products to a standard so that you can enjoy them for many years, without any concerns. If, nevertheless, there is a problem, we believe you are entitled to a solution straight away. Hence our products come with an exchange service, on top of the rights and claims you are entitled to by law. By exchanging a product or part, we save you time, effort and costs.

2-year full manufacturer's warranty

1. Customers enjoy a 2-year full manufacturer's warranty on all Inventum products. Within this period, a faulty product or part will always be exchanged for a new model, free of charge. In order to claim under the 2-year full manufacturer's warranty, you can either return the product to the shop you bought it from or contact the Inventum costumer service department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag.
2. The 2-year warranty period starts from the date the product is bought.
3. In order to claim under the warranty, you must produce a copy of the original receipt.
4. The warranty applies only to normal domestic use of Inventum products within the Netherlands.

Breakdowns or faults outside the warranty period

1. Breakdowns or faults in small or large domestic appliances outside the warranty period, can be reported to the costumer services department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag or by calling the costumer services department.
2. The costumer services department may ask you to send the product for inspection or repair. The costs of dispatch will be at your expense.
3. The inspection to establish whether repair is possible involves a charge. You need to grant your permission for this, in advance.
4. In the event of a large domestic appliance, Inventum, at your request, can send out a service engineer. In that case, you will be charged the call-out costs, as well as parts and labour.
5. In the event of an instruction to repair, the repair costs must be paid in advance. In the event of a repair by a service engineer, the costs of the repair must be settled with the engineer onsite, preferably by means of PIN payment.

Warranty exclusions

1. The following is excluded from the aforesaid warranties:

• normal wear and tear;
- improper use or misuse;
• insufficient maintenance;
- failure to comply with the operating and maintenance instructions;
- unprofessional installation or repairs by third parties or the customer himself;
• non-original parts used by the customer;
- use for commercial or business purposes;
- removal of the serial number and/or rating label.

3. batteries, bulbs, carbon filters, fat filters etc.;
   • external connection cables;

4. glass accessories and glass parts such as oven doors;

5. Transport damage not caused by Inventum is also excluded. Therefore, inspect your new device before starting to use it. If you detect any damage, you must report this to the store where you purchased the product within 5 working days, or to the Inventum customer service department via the form at www.inventum.eu/service-aanvraag. If transport damage is not reported within this period, Inventum does not accept any liability in this respect.

6. The following are excluded from warranty and/or replacement: faults, loss of and damage to the device as a result of an event that is normally insured under the home contents insurance.

Important to know

1. The replacement or repair of a faulty product, or a part thereof, does not lead to an extension of the original warranty period.
2. If a complaint is unfounded, all costs arising from it will be at the customer's expense.
3. Following expiry of the warranty period, all costs of repair or replacement, including administration costs, dispatch and call-out charges, will be charged to the customer.
4. Inventum cannot be held liable for damage caused by external events, unless this liability arises from mandatory statutory provisions.
5. These warranty and service provisions are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be settled exclusively by the competent Dutch court.
