Important safety guidelines for this device
- This device is not intended to be used, cleaned or maintained by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge. Unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or have received instructions from this person about how the device is to be used
- Operate the device only if there are no visible damages and the display is working properly
- Two power meters should not be used together simultaneously
- For cleaning, the device must be first removed from the socket and then it can be wiped with a dry cloth

Remove the product from the packing and remove the plastic strip, which is protruding out of the battery compartment on the back side of the energy cost meter.
Then connect the electrical devices, whose energy consumption has to be recorded, to the meter. Then plug the energy cost meter into a properly installed shockproof socket.
The device is now ready to be used. Detailed information on the operation and the setting options are given in the following sections of this user manual.
5 Commissioning
Before using the device for the first time, reset it to the factory settings. Take an object with a suitable tip (e.g. pen) and introduce it into the "RESET" opening on the front side of the device to reset all data and programs.
6 "UP" and "SET" bu☐ons
The current time, price as well as the electricity tariff can be set using the “UP” and "SET" buttons. Either the 12 or 24 hour display can be selected.
7 "FUNC" bu☐on
The "FUNC" button can be used to change between the different display types. The following list shows the setting options:
- Time display, 2. Voltage display, 3. Mains current display, 4. Power supply capacity display, 5. Display and storage of the total energy used, 6. Display and storage of the total electrical load over a period, 7. Display and storage of the total electrical load as per tariff 1, 8. Display and storage of the total electrical load as per tariff 2, 9. Display of power frequency, 10. Display of “Powerfactor”, 11. Adjustable price per kWh
Setting options for weekdays or groups of weekdays (abbreviations:
MO (Monday), TU (Tuesday), WE (Wednesday), TH (Thursday), FR (Friday), SA (Saturday), SU (Sunday)

8 Display and Setting
Note: If power supply is interrupted for more than 5 seconds, the display goes out. The display reappears on pressing any button.
The following displays appear in sequence on pressing the "FUNC" button several times:
VOLTac -> AMP -> WATT -> KWh -> TOTAL PRICE; TOTAL ONTIME
8.1 Setting
Once the device is connected to a properly installed socket, the current time, mains voltage and frequency is shown on the display.
- A short press of the "FUNC" button shows the actual time along with the current and the power factor
- Pressing shortly the "FUNC" button once more shows the time, power and the power factor on the display
- Another short press of the "FUNC" button shows the actual time along with the kilowatt-hours and the power factor
- Another short press of the "FUNC" button causes the display to show the current total price and the total time.

Another short press of the "FUNC" button causes the display to show the current total price of rate 1 and the entire time of rate 1.

Another short press of the "FUNC" button causes the display to show the current total price of rate 2 and the entire time of rate 2.
You return to the default screen after another short press.
If you wish to reset the current usage, navigate to the price menu (4.) using the "FUNC" button and press and hold the "FUNC" button for a few seconds till the actual price is reset. If the maximum usage or the total electrical load is exceeded, then "OVER" is displayed.
9 Setting the timer
Press and hold the "SET" button in the default screen to go to the date and time settings. Then the weekday blinks. Select the current weekday using the UP" button and confirm it using the "SET" button. Now the hours display starts to blink. Select the current hour. Repeat the process for setting the minutes.
To switch between the 12 hour and 24 hour display, press the "UP" button in the default screen.
Note: Repeat the above mentioned steps to correct incorrect time settings.
10 Setting the costs per Kilowatt-hour (kWh)
Press and hold the "FUNC" button for about 2 seconds during the display modes Voltage, Current or Power. A menu appears for setting the corresponding tariff. Press the "SET" button once briefly while the timer clock is in the tariff display. Now you can adjust the costs per kilowatt-hour using the "UP" button. Confirm the settings each time by pressing the "SET" button. Then the weekday starts to blink. Set the desired weekday or the desired weekdays (as a group) using the "UP" button. Confirm again using the "SET" button. Then the "ON TIME" display begins to blink. Set the desired hours and minutes using the "UP" button and confirm it using the "SET" button. After setting Tariff 1 successfully, if desired, you can switch to Tariff 2 using the "FUNC" button and set it in the same way as in the steps described above.
Note: The display of the current costs is related to the tariff and the weekdays or weekday groups assigned to the tariffs.
11 Safety instructions and liability disclaimer
Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.
12 Disposal instructions
Electrical and electronic devices may only be disposed of in accordance with the European WEEE Directive and not with household rubbish. Components must be disposed of or recycled separately as dangerous, toxic elements can inflict sustained damage on the environment if they are disposed of incorrectly. As a consumer, you are bound by the Electrical and Electronic Devices Act (ElektroG) to return electrical and electronic goods free of charge at the end of their useful life to the manufacturer, the place of purchase or to specially set up, public collection points. The details in each case are governed by national law. The symbol on the product, the operating instructions and/or the packaging refers to these regulations. By separating materials in this way, recycling and disposing of old devices, you are making an important contribution towards protecting our environment.
13 Warranty

If the buyer is a merchant, the following applies by way of derogation from clause 1:

The quality of the goods is defined as agreed, only by the seller's own specifications and the product description of the manufacturer, but not any other kind of advertising, public promotions and statements by the manufacturer.

The buyer is obliged to check the goods immediately with utmost care for deviations of quality and quantity and report apparent defects promptly to the seller in writing. Timely dispatch of the notification of defects shall suffice for complying with the time limit.
This also applies for concealed defects established later, from the time of their discovery.
- In case of violation of the obligation to inspect and notify, warranty claims cannot be asserted. In case of defects, the seller may provide warranty either by repair or replacement.
Please note: As far as possible, the buyer is requested not to return the goods freight forward but as an insured package to the seller. The seller shall gladly pay the cost of postage in advance, if he has to bear the return charges. The buyer is also requested to avoid damage and contamination of the goods.
Goods should be returned in their original packaging with all accessories and with all packaging components to the seller. If the buyer no longer has the original packaging, he should return the goods in a suitable package to avoid damage in transit.
Note: The procedures indicated above are not a prerequisite for effective exercise of your warranty claims. Your warranty claims and your right of cancellation remain unaffected hereby.
14 Instructions on the disposal of batteries
With regard to the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, the supplier is obliged to draw the customer's attention to the following: As the end user, the customer has a statutory obligation to return used batteries. He can return old batteries stocked or previously stocked by the supplier in the form of new batteries to the supplier's despatch warehouse (despatch address) free of charge. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of quicksilver.

The symbol of the rubbish bin with a cross through it indicates that the battery may not be put in household waste.
