4. Batteries

WARNING

Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

  • Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries according to the correct polarity.
  • Replace the batteries as soon as the display turns dark.
  • Remove the batteries after use.

6. Operation

6.1 General Operation

  1. Place the scale on a solid, level and non-slippery surface.
  2. Switch on the scale. The scale is ready-to-use when the display shows 0.
  3. Place the item to be weighed or the tare item in the middle of the weighing platform.
  4. To tare an item, tap the tare button. Place the item to be weighed on the scale.
  5. The weight is displayed.

6.2 Negative Value

The display shows a negative value if a (tare) weight has been removed from the scale. Press the on-off/zero/tare button to clear the display.

6.3 Time/Temperature Display

In the off status, the scale will display the time and indoor temperature.

6.4 Setting the Time

In the off status, hold the time setting button pressed. Select the 12 h- or 24 h-mode with the arrows and confirm by pressing the time setting button. Next, set the time accordingly.

6.5 Unit Conversion

The scale features three weighing modes. Hold the unit button pressed for 3 seconds until the desired weighing unit is displayed.

6.6 Countdown Function

In the on status, press the unit button to enter the countdown function. Select the minute/second digit with the time setting button and adjust with the arrows. Confirm with the time setting button. The countdown starts as soon as the timer is set and confirmed.

Once the countdown timer has reached 00:00, the alarm will sound. Press any button to switch off the alarm.

  • All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

  • Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.

You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

  • all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits:

  • damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs
