This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Special Safety Instructions

^B Do not use the device connected to an external timer or a separate remote control system.

The electrical safety of the appliance is only guaranteed if it is connected to an efficient earth installation as specified in current electric safety regulations. The manufacturer does not accept responsibility for any damage resulting from a lack of earth installation.
B We strongly advise against the use of adapters, extension plugs and/or leads. In the case of these being necessary, use only simple or multiple adapters and extension leads which conform to current safety regulations, taking care not to exceed the voltage limit indicated on the adapter and/or extension lead.
Warning: When the sandwich maker is switched on, the inside surfaces can reach extremely high temperatures and can cause serious burns. Do not touch the appliance while it is switched on. It should be taken the necessary measures to avoid the risk of burns, fire and other damage to persons or property by contact with the sides or top of the device during use or its cooling.

the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
Do not use the appliance if the mains cord, the plug or the appliance itself is damaged.

Put the unit down onto a heat-resistant surface.

Consumer Safety Information
ELECTRICAL CORD: A short power cord is provided to reduce the hazards of becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Using an extension cord is not recommended. If an extension cord is used it must be a VDE Listed Cord of an equal or greater rating than the rating of the appliance. Do not leave this appliance unattended while in use.
BEFORE USING YOUR APPLIANCE
Cooking plates should be washed in warm soapy water, rinsed, and dried thoroughly before using. Only remove the plates when the device be cold and unplugged. To remove or change cooking plates, place unit in the flat open position. Press the plate release button; this will release the plate for removal, lift the plate up and out.
CAUTION: Never place appliance housing or cord in water or any other liquid. To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, never operate unit unless cooking plates are securely snapped in place.
INSERTING COOKING PLATES
Make sure your 2 in 1 is unplugged when inserting or removing desired cooking plates.
To remove plates currently in your unit, just press the cooking plate release button and remove current cooking plate.
To insert desired cooking plates, insert tabs on cooking plate into slots on unit near the hinge area.
Push down and snap the other side of the cooking plate into place.
Repeat the same for second cooking plate.
COOKING ON YOUR 2 IN 1 FAMILY FUN MACHINE
Make sure your 2 in 1 Family Fun Machine is unplugged. Select desired cooking plates. (See above for inserting and removing cooking plates).
Let preheat until the indicator light goes on, about five minutes.
Now you are ready to use your 2 in 1 as a sandwich maker, grill or griddle! You can lightly oil your cooking plates before using.
When cooking is completed, unplug and let the unit cool down before removing or cleaning cooking plates.
CLEANING
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns to hands and fingers, always allow the unit to cool down before removing cooking plates.
Make sure unit is unplugged and has cooled down. Press release button to remove cooking plates. Wash plates in warm soapy water, and dry.
If grease has dripped into the area under the cooking plates, clean with a damp cloth, and dry. Never use abrasive pads or cleaners on cooking plates or any other part of the product.
GRILL HINTS
You may use your grill in the open or flat position. If you want more cooking surface, you can use the grill in the closed position for a faster top and bottom grilling. If you use the unit open, your cooking times will be longer, and you will need to turn you food to cook on both sides. Top and bottom grilling needs no turning and will cook in half the time as open grilling.
Cooking time:
- Steaks/burgers (About 3 oz patties): Closed grilling- 2 to 10 minutes depending on desired doneness.
- Frankfurters: Between 3 and 6 minutes
- Chicken breast fillets (1/2 inch thick): between 4 and 8 minutes
- Pork loin chop (1/2 TO 1 Inch thick): between 4 and 12 minutes
- Fish/shrimp: Between 2 and 8 minutes.
SANDWICH MAKER HINTS
Basic Cheese or Meat Sandwich Pockets:
To make sandwich on your 2 in 1, just lightly butter two slices of bread for each pocket.
Place buttered side down on bottom plate. Fill with cheese and or meat of your choice.
Lay second piece of bread, buttered side up. Repeat for second sandwich. Close and lock lid. Cook about 3 to 5 minutes or until desired brownness. Be careful the filling in your sandwich will be very hot, you may want to let it cool before eating.
Disposal of old electrical appliances.

The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
