MAINS VOLTAGE

Always respect the following warnings and cautions :

  • Don't use the product in case of contact with water or if power plug or power cord are wet.
  • This product is not intended to be moved during use.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the supply before moving it, before any assembling, disassembling or cleaning or if it is left unattended.
  • Where supply disconnection is required do it always in such a way that an operator located near the machine can check that the plug remains removed.
  • To move or remove the food trays always use the provided detachable handle in coupling it on a suitable way

WARRANTY

This product is covered against manufacturing defects by a 24-month guarantee for private users (12-month professionals users). The warranty runs from the date of purchase. The purchasing date shall be that one indicated on the receipt issued when the dealer delivers the machine. If not available, it is possible to identify the manufacturing date on the technical nameplate placed by REBER on the product. The manufacturer undertakes to repair free of charges those parts showing manufacturing defects within the warranty period, or to replace these free of charge. Defects not clearly attributable to materials or manufacture shall be examined by our technical assistance center or in our plant and will be charged according to the outcome of the examination. The guarantee doesn't cover accidental damages caused by transport, negligence or inadequate treatment, incorrect or improper use or installation failing to comply with the indications in the instruction manual or in any case damages resulting from shocks and falls and does not cover the possible consumables. The warranty becomes void when the machine has been repaired or handled by unauthorized third parties. The use of warranty does not cover replacement of the appliance or extension of the guarantee. The appliance shall reach the authorized after sales center free of any shipping charges. The warranty does not cover any cleaning operations to which the machine or operative components may be subjected.

Read carefully all instructions before using the machine, taking particular care of the paragraphs with the safety and danger symbols. Remove the plug before all maintenance and cleaning operations.

WARNING FOR USE

The manufacturer declines all responsibility in case of improper use of the machine.

The provided stainless food trays are not suitable for salty food contact, for such use special AISI 316 trays are available on demand. You may also protect the trays using food paper to prevent damages in case of drying salty food occasionally.

Wash carefully the trays after each use to prevent damages.

  • Check the power cord periodically, if damaged it must be replaced by a supply cord of the similar type delivered by the after sales service
  • Never use the appliance outdoors.
  • Never place washing or any other things on the appliance during use, this could cause a fire
  • The product shall be connected to an always easy accessible power socket of the same voltage and frequency than those indicated on the technical nameplate of the appliance.
  • Before use carefully clean and dry the parts in contact with food
  • Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquid when cleaning
  • Do not use power extension cords
  • Do not use the appliance with wet hands or barefoot
  • Never clean the product with water jets
  • Do not remove the plug from the socket gripping the power cord
  • Disconnect the plug from the socket before any operation on the product
    Metallic surfaces of the product housing may reach high temperatures, avoid prolonged contact with them.
  • Check the periodically the good condition of the insulation on provided detachable handle, if damaged it must be replaced by a recognized after sales service with insulation of the similar type.
  • Model 10080NP : should one or both of the fuses placed at the bottom of the power connector on the product rear side break down contact the nearest after sales service for further instructions.

The machine is placed in a cardboard box with protection plugs.

The package is proper to travel by all means of transport.

It can be put a carton on another carton for a maximum of 5 cartons

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Before connecting the machine to power supply, take care of the following :

  • Make sure the socket is provided with a suitable protective earth protection
  • Make sure that the voltage and frequency of supply correspond to those indicated on the nameplate of the machine
  • Make sure that the way how the power cord is placed will avoid sliding and tripping risks for persons
  • It is user's responsibility to ensure that the connection of the machine to the electric system is in compliance with the rules in force in the country where the machine is installed, and to ensure that a correct installation is made by a qualified technician.

General rules

The electric heat dryer of vegetable and fruit (hereinafter referred to as dried food machine) is a kind of household machine used to dry vegetables, fruits, wild fruits, mushrooms and herbals.

Safety requirement

In order to safely use the electric heat dryer, you shall learn the operation manual. The electrical heat dryer is for household use only.

The electric heat dryer is a kind of machine that cannot operate without the supervision of person.

Put the food on the cleaned steaming rack. Water is not allowed to be splashed into the base of electric heat dryer. Or else, it may cause short circuit.

Too much food cannot be placed on the steaming rack, or else, it will affect the drying effect. Small pieces of food shall be placed on the lower layer of steaming rack, in order to leave room to facilitate the circulatory flow of hot wind.

The electric heat dryer is prohibited to be moved when it is switched on.

  • When use the electric heat dryer, in case of sudden stopping of impeller of electrical machine, you shall break the power of electric heat dryer.

Electric heater, electrical machine of impeller type, temperature adjuster and power switch with heat protector are equipped on the base of electric heat dryer.

Several steaming racks are placed on the base of electric heat dryer, and these holes are used to let the heating air pass through. A steaming lid with hole is covered above the steaming rack. Connect the electric heat dryer to the power by virtue of power line and switch, and the switch is stalled on the base of electric heat dryer. Electrical machine of impeller type pump the air from the bottom of electric heat dryer onto the heater. The heated air is evenly distributed through the air deflector and is transmitted onto all the steaming racks, which proves that the electric heat dryer can fry the food simultaneously and quickly.

Temperature adjuster can maintain the set air temperature, and the heat protector can avoid the condition of overheating of electric heat dryer.

4. Matters needing attention of product usage

  1. The maximum using time shall not exceed 72 hours each time, in order not to affect the service life of the complete machine.
  2. Each time after using, please adjust the temperature knob to the lowest position, turn off the power switch and pull out the socket.
  3. When the power of product is switched on and the product is operated normally, red indicator light of switch and fan and other parts shall be in a status of operation, namely the red light goes on and there is obvious wind flowing out of the air outlet on the steaming lid.
  4. Water or any other liquid cannot be added into the product. Few water drop is allowed to be leaved on food inside the container of steaming grid.
  5. During the drying, please keep the hot air inside the machine circulate naturally. Do not place too heavy food on the steaming rack, and the food cannot be placed by overlapping. Different foods have different drying times (Remark: when the machine begins to work, please ensure that the steaming lid is in the correct position. If there is no enough time for food drying in one day, the food can be dried in the nest day. Under this condition, please put the food that has not been dried in the container or plastic bag for scaling).

  6. Temperature on the steaming rack is the highest during the operation of product. In order to evenly dry the food, please regularly exchange the position of steaming racks.

  7. If the food is not to be eaten after drying, you shall immediately put the dried food in a container or plastic bag, and seal it before storage. Food is suggested to be stored in the refrigerator.
  8. After using the product, no matter there is any food inside the steaming rack or not, all the steaming racks are suggested to be piled up and be placed in the product.
    Wash carefully all grids and the internal bottom of the machine to avoid deterioration of the grids
  9. Food shall be successively placed from the upper steaming grid to the lower steaming grid.
  10. Please conduct pretreatment of food before drying, such as cleaning, slicing or stripping, soaking, etc. Pretreatment of food is beneficial to the preservation of color and taste after the food is dried.

5. Operation steps of product

  1. Before initial usage of electric heat dryer, you shall clean the steaming rack and wipe it clean with dry cleaning cloth.

  2. Evenly put the pretreated food on each layer of steaming grid, place the steaming grid with food on the base of product, and then cover the steaming lid.

  3. Plug the power line into the socket, switch on power, and press down the switch in order to let the product be in a status of operation. When the indicator light of switch goes on, obvious wind will blow out from small holes of steaming lid.
  4. Adjust the temperature knob to the temperature value that is applicable for food drying.
  5. Dry the food according to different food and personal taste and other demand.
  6. After the drying of food, adjust the temperature knob to the lowest position, switch off the power and pull out the plug.

  7. Tips of food pretreatment: (remark: the following methods are for reference only)

A. Pretreatment of fruit

  1. Add 2 cups of water into 1/4 cup of fruit juice, and soak the food required to be dried in it for about 2 minutes. (Remark: fruit juice is to match food. For example, apple juice is used for dry apple).
  2. Table of food treatment

B. Pretreatment of vegetables:

  1. Treat them with steam, boiling water or oil. Recommendation is aiming at green leguminosae such as cauliflower, asparagus and potato.
  2. Put the prepared vegetables into the boiling water for about 3 to 5 minutes. Filter them dry and then put them into the shelf.
  3. Put the vegetables into the lemon juice and soak for about 2 minutes.

C. Pretreatment of meat, fish and other food:

  1. Lean meat (no fatty meat): The meat is suggested to be pickled before drying to keep its natural taste and tenderize it.
    Pickle shall contain salt that will absorb moisture from the meat and plays a role of freshness retaining.

Standard of pickling:

1/2 cup of soybean paste ; 1 garlic, mashed ; 2 tablespoons of brown sugar ; 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce ; 1/2 cup of worcestershire sauce ; 1-1/4 teaspoon of salt ; 1/2 tea spoon of onion powder ; 1/2 teaspoon of beaten pepper ; Mix all the above ingredients.

Chop the meat into small cube and then put them into the machine. And the drying time shall be about 2 to 8 hours until all the moisture is evaporated.

  1. Poultry meat:

All the poultry meat shall be cooked in advance before drying. Steaming or baking is the best method. And the drying time shall be about 2 to 8 hours until all the moisture is evaporated.

  1. Fish:

Steaming or baking is suggested to be adopted to cook the fish before drying (bake it in the oven with temperature of 200^ for 20 minutes), and the drying time shall be about 2 to 8 hours until all the moisture is evaporated.

D. Vanilla, etc:

Wash the vanilla and dry the redundant water, and remove the deteriorative leaves. Incompactly spread the vanilla on the steaming grid. Drying time is about 2 to 6 hours, and it depends on the size and category of vanilla.

E. Bread, etc:

Slice the bread out and no bread husk is allowed. Incompactly spread the bread slice on the layer shelf, and the drying time is about 30 minutes to 2 hours.

F. Nut:

Shell the nut and wash it out with hot water. Incompactly spread the nut on the layer shelf. Nut cannot be stored before cooling. Nut contains oil content that will cause corrosive smell, so it shall be stored in the refrigerator to ensure that it is fresh. When the nut is to be used, take it out and place it in the normal room temperature, and the drying time is about 18 to 26 hours.
