Safety instructions
Please read and follow the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference. Enclose these instructions when you give this appliance to someone else. This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
Danger of electric shock!
Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with alternating current via a correctly installed socket with earthing. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic supply has been correctly installed.
Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate specifications. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cable must only be carried out by our customer service personnel.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance and connecting cable and do not allow them to use the appliance. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
Avoid spillage on the connector. Never immerse the appliance, base or mains cable in water.
Use the kettle only with the included base.
Use only if power cord and appliance show no signs of damage.
Should a fault occur, pull the plug or disconnect from the mains immediately.
Risk of fire!
Do not place the base or kettle on or near hot surfaces, e.g. hobs. Avoid spatters of grease as the plastic may be damaged.
Risk of scalding!
The appliance heats up during use. Make sure you only pick it up by the handle and do not open the lid until the appliance has cooled down. Only use the appliance when the lid is engaged.
If the appliance is filled above the "max" marking, there could be a risk from splashes of boiling water.
Risk of burns!
After use, the heating element surfaces can be subjected to residual heat.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
Risk of suffocation!
Do not allow children to play with packaging material.
Risk of injury!
Misuse of the appliance can potentially lead to injury.
Caution!
Cleaning surfaces which come into contact with foodstuffs! Please note the special information on cleaning in the instructions.

Important: Use the kettle only with its included base.
- Only fill the kettle with water. Milk and instant beverages will burn and damage the appliance. Never operate the kettle without water and do not overfill it; observe the min and max markings. If the kettle is too full, the water will boil over!
Before using for the first time
Remove any stickers or film. Unroll the right amount of cable from the cable tidy and plug it in. - Fill the kettle with water. Bring the water to a boil and discard it. Repeat the procedure. This will make sure that the kettle is clean for normal use. - When the water comes to a boil for the first time, add a tablespoon of white vinegar.
Boiling water
- Fill the kettle with fresh water through the spout or the open lid (press lid release button).
- Check the amount by reading the water level indicator markings (min and max).
- Close the lid until it locks and place the kettle on the base. Press the ① ON/OFF switch. The kettle emits a signal, and the factory-set temperature (100°C) lights up. The water is being heated.
- By pressing button + or - you can set the temperature to ca. 70°C, ca. 80°C, ca. 90°C or ca. 100°C.
- When the water has reached the selected temperature, the kettle will switch off automatically, the temperature indicator goes off, and a signal sounds.
Note: The selected temperature can be changed at any time while the kettle is heating up. While the kettle heats up, the current temperature lights up; the preset temperature flashes until it has been reached.
If the temperature cannot be set, this indicates that the water in the kettle is hotter than the desired temperature. The current temperature will light up.
You can turn off the kettle at any time by pressing the ① ON/OFF switch again.
Warning: If you remove the kettle from the base and replace it before the heating process is over, the kettle will not continue to heat the water. The selected settings will be lost (reset to factory setting).
N.B.: Use the kettle only while the lid is closed and the limescale filter is in place.
For physical reasons, the base may collect some condensation water. This is normal; it does not mean that the kettle leaks. When you set the temperature to 100°C, the kettle will turn off only after the water has reached the boiling point, i.e. it will bubble for a short period of time.
After boiling, let the kettle cool down for 5 minutes before refilling it with water.
Do not turn on the appliance if the kettle is empty, otherwise the overheat control will engage and the appliance will switch itself off automatically.
Keep warm setting
You can turn on the keep warm with any temperature setting.
Press button. lights up, and the function is activated. To turn it off, press button again.
The indicator goes off.
Note: The keep warm feature switches off automatically after 30 minutes. The kettle emits a signal.
Cleaning and maintenance
Risk of electric shock!
Never immerse the device in water or place it in the dishwasher!
Do not steam-clean the appliance.
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Clean the outside of the kettle and base with a damp cloth. Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents. - Remove the limescale filter, soak it in a little vinegar, then rinse clean with clear water. Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clear water.
Tip: Clean the stainless steel surface with a commercial stainless steel care product.
Descaling
Regular descaling
■ makes your kettle last longer; ensures proper function; saves energy.
Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercial descaling agent.
- Fill the kettle with water up to the 1.5 mark and bring to a boil. Next, add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for several hours. You can also use a commercial descaling product and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clear water.
Warning: Never use hard objects to remove limescale residue as this will damage the seal.
Tip: If you use the kettle daily, descale more frequently.
Troubleshooting
The kettle does not heat up; the temperature indicator does not light up.
- The overheat control has tripped.
- Let the kettle cool down for some time so that the appliance can be switched on again.
The unit turns off before the water comes to a boil.
- The kettle contains too much scale.
- Descale the kettle as per the instructions.

Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply. Clean the outside of the kettle base with a damp cloth. Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents. Remove the limescale filter, soak it in a little vinegar, and then rinse it well with clean water. Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clean water.
Tip: Clean the surface of the stainless steel with a special product intended for cleaning stainless steel, which you can find in the trade network.
Removing the limescale filter
Regular cleaning of the limescale filter
Extends the life of your kettle; ensures proper functioning; saves energy.
Clean the kettle with a suitable agent for descaling, which you can find in the trade network.
Fill the kettle with water up to
the 1.5 mark and leave the water to boil. After that, add a small amount of vinegar and leave it to stand for a few hours. You can also use a descaling agent and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clean water.
Attention: Never use hard objects for cleaning the limescale filter, as this may damage the coating.
Tip: If you use the kettle every day, you should clean the limescale filter more often.
Removing the non-return valve
The kettle does not heat up; the temperature indicator does not light up.
- There may be a problem with the temperature control. Leave the kettle to cool for a while, so that it can be switched on again.

The kettle contains a lot of limescale.
Clean the kettle from limescale according to the instructions.
Technical specifications
After boiling, leave the kettle for 5 minutes before refilling it.
Do not turn on the kettle without filling it with water, otherwise the overheat protection will activate and the appliance will switch off automatically.
Keep warm mode
This mode can be activated by pressing the (keep warm) button at any set water temperature.
Press the button. The SS indicator lights up, signaling that the keep warm mode is on.
To turn off this mode, press the button again. The indicator goes out.
Application: keep warm mode
The water temperature automatically turns off after 30 minutes. A sound signal is emitted.
Cleaning and maintenance

Unplug the appliance from the outlet. Wipe the outer surface of the kettle and the base with a damp cloth. Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents.
Remove the filter, immerse it in a solution of vinegar and water, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Rinse the kettle and filter from scale with clean water.
Useful tip: When cleaning stainless steel surfaces, use products for care of stainless steel items available on the market.
Descaling
Regular descaling
Regular descaling of the kettle ensures its reliable operation and saves energy.
To descale the kettle, use table vinegar or commercially available descaling agents.
Fill the kettle with water up to the 1.5 mark and bring it to a boil. Then add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for several hours. You can also use a special descaling agent, following the manufacturer's instructions. Rinse the kettle and filter with clean water.
Warning: Never use hard objects to remove scale, as they may damage the kettle's seal.
Useful tip: With daily use of the kettle, scale should be removed more often.
Troubleshooting minor faults yourself
The kettle does not heat up; the temperature indicator does not light up.
- The overheat protection has tripped. Let the kettle cool down for a while and then switch it on again.
The kettle switches off before the water boils.
