How much water should be used for hard-boiled eggs?

Use the supplied graduated measuring cup. The water level determines the doneness: for hard-boiled eggs, fill up to the corresponding mark (usually the highest mark). Refer to the cooking table in the manual.

How to pierce the eggs with the egg piercer?

Use the flat part of the piercer located on the handle of the egg tray. Gently prick the large end of the egg to prevent it from bursting during cooking.

Can I cook fewer than 7 eggs at the same time?

Yes, the appliance can cook 1 to 7 eggs. Simply adjust the amount of water according to the number of eggs, following the graduations on the measuring cup.

How to know when the eggs are cooked?

The appliance emits an audible signal when the water has evaporated and the eggs are ready. The indicator light also turns off.

Can I use tap water?

Yes, tap water is suitable. However, if you have very hard water, regular descaling is advised to avoid limescale buildup.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
• Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10cm free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
• Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.
• Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)

USE

• The egg cooker allows you to boil between 1 and 7 eggs at the same time. Whether the eggs are boiled 'soft', 'medium' or 'hard' depends on the amount of water you add.
• Use the measuring cup to get the amount of cold water required.
• Fill the top of the egg cooker with the water.
• Pierce the blunt end of the eggs with the piercer (on the egg tray)
• Place the eggs into the holder and put it with the lid on top unto the egg cooker.
• Connect the plug to wall outlet and press the power button.

The eggs are being boiled now.
- A buzzer signals when the eggs are ready.
- Carefully lift the lid. Remove the egg-holder together with the eggs from the appliance and rinse them under cold tap water.
- You can serve the eggs now.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
• Never immerse the electrical device in water or any other liquid. The device is not dishwasher proof.

Warranty regulations

TOMADO provides a 2-year warranty for all defects caused by hidden deficiencies which render the appliance useless for normal operation.
The warranty runs from the date of purchase; we advise you to carefully save your receipt.
- Within the warranty period any defects in production or material will be resolved free of charge, by means of reparation, replacement of parts or replacement of the appliance as a whole.
- The warranty certificate has to be filled in by the sales person at the moment of purchase.
- Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the warranty period.
- The warranty does not apply when defects or damages result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre (excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
- The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not following the guidelines in the instruction manual and usual wear and tear.
The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the lack of frequent descaling of appliances, whatever type of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee machines and water boilers).

TOMADO cannot be held responsible for any material damage or personal accident resulting from connecting the appliance in breach of the locally applicable safety regulations and technical standards (for instance an inferior AC outlet). The warranty under no circumstances grants the right for any compensation.
- All other claims, including damages, are excluded unless the Law states otherwise.
- Other warranty regulations than the warranty regulations stated above are not applicable.

What do you do in case your appliance does not work?

When your appliance shows defects, you can refer to your salesperson. Your salesperson will make sure any defect will be repaired as soon as possible.
