Congratulations and thank you for purchasing this high quality product. Please read the instruction manual carefully so that you will be able to make the best possible use of the appliance. This manual includes all the necessary instructions and advice for using, cleaning and maintaining the appliance. If you follow these instructions you will be guaranteed off an excellent result, it saves you time and will avoid problems. We hope you will have a great deal of pleasure from using this appliance.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the device. Please keep these instructions, the guarantee certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging.
- This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person that is responsible for their safety.
- By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for the damage.
- To protect children against the dangers of an electrical appliances, please make sure that you never leave the appliances unattended. There for you have to select a storage place for the appliance where children are not
able to grab it. Make sure that the cable is not hanging in a downward position.
This appliance is only to be used for household purposes and only for the purpose it is made for.
- The appliance must be placed on a stable, level surface.
- Do not use when the appliance is fallen, there are any signs of damage or when it leaks.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- Never use the device unsupervised.
- All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician (^*)
Make sure that the appliance is stored in a dry environment.
- Check if the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the main voltage of your home. Rated voltage: 220 - 240V 50Hz . The socket must be at least 16 A or 10 A slow-protected.
- This appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.
- Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.
- Do not use this appliance outdoors.
- Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before you clean or store it.
To protect yourself against an electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or appliance in the water or any other liquid.
- Do not use this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or when the appliance has malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. To avoid a hazard make sure that a damaged cord or plug will be replaced by an authorized technician (^*) . Do not repair this appliances by yourself.
- Do not use this appliance near direct heat sources.
- Unplug the appliance from the socket when you are not using it.
- Note: To avoid danger by accidental resetting the thermal protection, this appliances may not be powered through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that regularly will be switched on or off.
- Using an extension cord or something similar is not allowed.
- Make sure that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table or counter, does not touch any hot surfaces or is coming directly into contact with the hot parts of the appliances. Do not place the appliance underneath or close to curtains, window coverings etc.
- Make sure the cord does not touch the hot parts of the appliance.
- We advise to place a heat resistant coating between your table and the appliance (this way you don't get burns on your table or table cloth).
- Do not use this appliances in the bathroom or near a sink filled with water. If this appliances has fallen into the water do not under no circumstances directly grab this appliances but first pull the plug from the socket.
(*) Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.
Clean the plate with a damp cloth. - Connect the power cable to the socket. Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage: 220-240V~50Hz.
- The heating plate is provided with a protective layer which for the first use should be removed.
Switch the device and select the highest setting for 10 minutes. There may be created some smoke by the protection which now lit the heating plate.
Then you can switch off the cooker or use it.
USE
- Turn on the cooker on by turning the switch clockwise. The red indicator lights up.
- You can select the desired temperature by turning the knob clockwise from, 1 for the lowest temperature and 5 for the highest level.
- If the temperature which belong to the set position is reached, the warning light turns off.
- When the temperature drops, heat loss to the pan, the thermostat turns back on again.
CLEANING
- Unplug, before cleaning, the plug from the socket and allow the plate to cool down completely.
- Do not use toxic and abrasive cleaners such as gasoline, scouring powder or solvent. A normal kitchen cleaner or detergent is sufficient.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Remove the cooking residues immediately. Beware! The plate is hot.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
- Use only pans with a diameter equal to the hotplate.
- Use only pots and pans with a flat bottom.
- If possible keep the lid on the pan while cooking
Cook vegetables, potatoes, etc. with little water to the cooking time as short as possible. - Use the correct temperatures for the different meals to prepare.

We would like to congratulate you on buying an appliance from the TOMADO product range.
Warranty regulations
TOMADO provides a 2-year warranty for all defects caused by hidden deficiencies which render the appliance useless for normal operation.
The warranty runs from the date of purchase; we advise you to carefully save your receipt.
- Within the warranty period any defects in production or material will be resolved free of charge, by means of reparation, replacement of parts or replacement of the appliance as a whole.
The warranty certificate has to be filled in by the sales person at the moment of purchase.
- Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the warranty period.
- The warranty does not apply when defects or damages result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre (excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not following the guidelines in the instruction manual and usual wear and tear.
The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the lack of frequent descending of appliances, whatever type of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee machines and water boilers).
TOMADO cannot be held responsible for any material damage or personal accident resulting from connecting the appliance in breach of the locally applicable safety regulations and technical standards (for instance an inferior AC outlet). The warranty under no circumstances grants the right for any compensation.
All other claims, including damages, are excluded unless the Law states otherwise.
- Other warranty regulations than the warranty regulations stated above are not applicable.

What do you do in case your appliance does not work?
When your appliance shows defects, you can refer to your salesperson. Your salesperson will make sure any defect will be repaired as soon as possible.
Repairs outside the warranty period
You can always hand in your appliance to have it repaired outside the warranty period. This will of course not be free of charge.
