1 Safety

1.3 Safe use
WARNING - Risk of burns!
The appliance becomes hot during operation.
- Never touch the inside surfaces of the cooking compartment or the heating elements while they are hot.
- Allow the appliance to cool down.
- Keep children away from the appliance. Accessories and cookware get very hot.
Always use oven gloves to remove accessories or cookware from the cooking compartment.
2 Preventing material damage

Sitting or placing objects on the appliance door may damage it.
- Do not place, hang or support objects on the appliance door.
- Do not place cookware or accessories on the appliance door.
3 Environmental protection and saving energy
3.1 Disposing of packaging
The packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled.
- Sort the individual components by type and dispose of them separately.
4 Components of the steam set
The essential elements of the steam set are the extra-deep pan, the plastic frame and the glass lid.
Tip
Choose the appropriate steam container according to the quantity and size of the food.
- To cook rice or sauces, you can also use the size S unperforated steam container.
- You can also use the extra-deep pan individually to prepare large quantities of bakes, for example.
Only use the original parts supplied.

5 Before using for the first time
Configure the settings for initial start-up. Clean the appliance and accessories.
5.1 Cleaning the accessory before using for the first time
- Clean the steam set and all accessories with hot soapy water.
5.2 Securing the protective film
- Remove the protective film that is attached.

Stick the protective film provided to the underside of the protruding part of the worktop.

Cut the protective film to size.

6 Steaming
6.1 Tips for steaming
Please take note of the following information when steaming using the steam set.

Do not open the oven during cooking.
-
Exception: If you are simultaneously cooking food with very different cooking times
-
The cooking time depends on the size of the food. If you are simultaneously cooking food with different cooking times:
Cut the food with the longer cooking time into smaller pieces.
- Lengthen the cooking time for delicate foods by cooking larger pieces.
For steaming, use 500ml of water.
- Do not use distilled water
- Exception: Foods that soak up water (e.g. potatoes) and ingredients with long cooking times require 750ml of water.
6.2 Steaming food using the steam set
WARNING - Risk of scalding!
Hot steam may escape when you open the appliance door. Steam may not be visible, depending on the temperature.
- Open the appliance door carefully.

Keep children at a safe distance.

Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 150^ bottom heat.
- Pour water into the extra-deep pan.
- Place the food in the steam set.
- Put the plastic frame on in such a way that it lies around the circumference of the extra-deep pan.

Fit the glass lid in such a way that the lid seal lies around the circumference of the plastic frame.

Insert the steam set at level 1.

7. 7.1 WARNING - Risk of burns!
The handle for the glass lid becomes extremely hot.
Always use oven gloves to remove the glass lid. When cooking has finished, take the steam set out of the oven.
Use suitable oven gloves to do this.
- Set down the steam set.
Do not place the steam set on the oven door.
9. WARNING - Risk of scalding!
Hot steam will escape when you lift up the glass lid or the plastic frame.
- Lift the glass lid or plastic frame such that the hot steam can escape away from you.
Use oven gloves to remove the glass lid.

6.3 After every steam operation
Drying the cooking compartment

Allow the cooking compartment to cool.

Wipe out the cooking compartment with clean water.
- Wipe the cooking compartment dry with a soft cloth.
- Use a soft cloth to dry behind the door seal.
- Using a soft cloth, dry the drip trough or condensation tray (depending on the model) between the oven door and the oven.
6.4 Cooking table
The values in the cooking table are guidelines and may vary depending on the type, size and freshness of the food to be cooked.
Do not defrost frozen food before steaming.

7 Cleaning and servicing
