DESCRIPCION

The present manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of installation, use and maintenance. Keep it with care.

  • After taking off the packing make sure that the appliance is intact. In case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA.
  • Do not leave pieces of packing (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities since these are potential sources of danger.
  • If the appliance comes with an earth plug, the electrical safety is ensured only when this plug is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damages caused by the lack of an earthing system.
  • Before connecting the plug to the outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
  • Use of adaptors, multiple outlets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of necessity use exclusively approved devices in conformity with the current safety regulations while making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
  • Any installation which doesn't comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires. Termozeta shall not be held responsible for any damages to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or due to improper, incorrect and negligent use.
  • The appliance was exclusively designed to prepare espresso coffee, cappuccino and hot water in a domestic environment.
  • For safety reasons pay attention and:

  • do not use the appliance when you are barefoot or having wet hands or feet

  • do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment
  • do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc.)
  • never pull the power cord or the appliance itself in order to disconnect the plug from the outlet
  • do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the main power supply
  • never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids

ENGLISH

  • The appliance can be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, only if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the appliance in safe conditions, and subject to their understanding of the relevant risks. Children must not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be cleaned or serviced by children under the age of 8 without the supervision of an adult.
  • Keep the power cord and product out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
    Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • The power cord of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.
  • In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.
  • At the end of the life-cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the power cord after disconnecting the plug from the outlet. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.

USEINSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: READ CAREFULLY THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS

FIRSTUSE

  • The first time the machine is used, or after a long period of disuse, fill the removable water tank (1), using only cold water, and carefully replace it in its holder.
  • Plug into electric outlet.
  • Push the on-off botton (4) to turn-on the machine.
  • Place a container under the cappucino maker spout (5) and turn the steam supply knob (16) completely anticlockwise.
  • Press the coffee and water supply button (2) and put it in the on position.
  • When the water comes out, press the button (2) again into the "0" position and turn the knob (16) clockwise.

WARNING!

It is advised to let at least one cup of water through to clean the tubes inside.

ESPRESSO COFFEE

Push the on-off botton (4) to turn-on the machine.

Wait until the pilot light (14) turns on. The machine is now ready to make coffee.

Proceed as indicated depending on whether you are using coffee pods or powder.

POD

Place the pod inside filter (13).

POWDER

Add the ground coffee: 1 measure for 1 cup inside filter (12), 2 measures for 2 cups inside filter (11). Lightly tamp it down with the tamper.

For both kinds of coffee, do as follows:

  • Place the filter holder (10) in its seat and turn it clockwise.
  • Place the cup under the dispenser.
  • Press the coffee and water supply button (2) and the coffee will flow out.
  • When the desired amount of coffee has been reached, press the button (2) again to stop the flow of water.

due to possible residual steam or hot water, remove the filter holder carefully.

CAPPUCCINO

Push the on-off botton (4) to turn-on the machine.

Wait until the pilot light (14) turns on. The machine is now ready to make coffee.

First of all prepare a cup of espresso coffee in a cappuccino cup.

WARNING! remove the filter holder (10) from its seat.

  1. Press the steam button (3) and the pilot light (15) will turn off immediately; when the steam is ready, the pilot light (15) will turn on again.

WARNING!

during this phase, a small amount of water or steam may drip out of the filter holder seat; this is perfectly normal and due to the evaporation of residual water in the steam tubes.

  1. Fill a container, preferably in metal, with 2 or 3cm of fresh, refrigerated milk.
  2. Put it under the cappuccino maker (5), making sure the spout is submerged in the milk.
  3. To produce steam, turn the steam supply knob (16) anticlockwise.
  4. After doing this, turn the knob (16) clockwise and press the steam button (3) again.

WARNING! TO SWITCH FROM "CAPPUCCINO" TO "ESPRESSO" FUNCTION

Before making another espresso after using the steam function, the machine needs to cool down.

Place a cup under the cappuccino maker spout (5), put button (3) in position "0", then turn knob (16) anticlockwise to release the residual steam. Turn knob (16) clockwise again.

Then follow the indications described in the paragraph "Espresso Coffee".

HOT WATER

Push the on-off botton (4) to turn-on the machine.

Wait until the pilot light (14) turns on.

The machine is now ready to make both coffee and hot water.

  1. Place a container under the cappuccino maker (5).
  2. Turn the steam knob (16) counter-clockwise and press the espresso button (2).
  3. When the desired amount of water has been reached, press the button (2) again to stop it from flowing out.
  4. Turn knob (16) clockwise again.

WARNING!

after making cappuccino and hot water, a small amount of residual water or steam might come out of the steam spout. This is normal and is caused by residual steam in the tubes.

ATTENTION - SHUT OFF DEVICE

With the Shut-off Device, the appliance turns off automatically, assuring remarkable energy savings and greater duration and functionality of your machine.

The appliance is fitted with a device that will turn it off 9 MINUTES after the distribution of the last coffee

You have turned the machine on and you have made one or more coffees.

The machine will turn off automatically 9 MINUTES after the distribution of the last coffee.

If you wish to turn the machine off manually, without using the Shut-Off Device, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 3 SECONDS (4).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!

Before carrying out any cleaning operations, disconnect the electric plug and wait until the machine has cooled off.

Always clean the body of the machine (6) with warm water and a soft cloth.

Do not submerge the machine in water or other liquids.

It is advisable to periodically clean:

  • the filter holder (10)
  • the drip tray (8)
  • the removable water tank (1)
  • the cappuccino maker (5)

It is also advisable to clean the filter holder seat by running the machine with hot water only. Do as indicated in the paragraph "Espresso coffee" without putting the ground coffee or the pod.

PROBLEM SOLUTION
Pilot lights do not turn on Make sure the electric plug is properly connected.
The machine produces noisesCheck there is water inside the tank.
