How to turn on the CASO Body Energy scale?

Press with your foot or hand on the button on the scale until the capacitor is fully charged. The screen then lights up. The scale is self-powered via a dynamo technology.

How to change the weight unit (kg / lb)?

A small button is located on the back of the scale. Press it to toggle between kg and lb units. Select the unit before stepping onto the scale.

What to do if the scale displays 'Err'?

The 'Err' message indicates overload: the scale cannot weigh more than 200 kg. Remove the excessive load. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

Why does the scale turn off quickly?

The scale turns off automatically after approx. 80 seconds of inactivity. If it turns off earlier, the capacitor may be weakly charged. Press the button again to recharge it.

How to clean the scale?

Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use chemicals, harsh detergents, or abrasives. Do not let moisture seep inside.

Can I use the scale on carpet?

No, place the scale on a hard, flat, and smooth floor to ensure accurate measurements. Soft or uneven surfaces distort results.

What is the warranty for the Body Energy scale?

The warranty is 24 months from the date of purchase in Europe, covering manufacturing and material defects. Keep the receipt.

Why doesn't the scale turn on?

The capacitor may be discharged. Press firmly on the button for a few seconds to recharge it via the dynamo. If the screen still does not turn on, contact customer service.

Can I store the scale vertically?

It is not recommended to store the scale vertically. Store it flat, in a dry place away from excessive heat to preserve the sensor.

What to do in case of malfunction?

Contact CASO authorized customer service before returning the device. Attach the proof of purchase. Do not attempt unprofessional repairs.

3.3 Unpacking

Carefully remove the packaging material and unit from the carton.

Caso believes in the importance of recycling and has selected packaging materials that not only protect your unit from damage during transit, but can be recycled to minimize ecological impact. Recycling the packaging materials preserves raw materials and reduces waste. Take any packaging materials that are no longer required to a recycling collection point for proper disposal.

5 Operation

This chapter provides important information on operating the device. Follow the instructions in order to avoid danger and damage.

5.1 Setting up the device

Please place the scale on flat and solid ground. Place it always on the same place to avoid any difference in measuring due to change of underground.

5.2 Selection of the weight and size units

Press the small button at the back of the device to interchange

the unit between kg and lb.

▶ Before weighing, select the weight unit. During use, it is not possible to change between the units.

5.3 Switch on

Press the button until the capacitor is fully loaded. The display will lights up.

5.4 Switch off

The scale switches off automatically after about 80 seconds.

5.5 Weighing

Put the scale on a hard & flat surface. Step on the scale steadily when you see 0.0 kg in the display, wait till your weight displays on the screen. The scale switches off automatically after about 80 seconds.

5.6 Error messages

Overload-indication

When the scale is over loaded (over 200kg), "Err" will appear on the screen.

Low loading of capacitor

When the screen indicates this, it will turn off automatically after 10 seconds.

6 Cleaning and Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• Use a damp cloth to clean the surface of the scale.

7 Warranty (Europe)

We provide a 24 month guarantee for this product, commencing from the date of sale, for faults which are attributable to production or material faults.

Your legal guarantee entitlements in accordance with § 439 ff. BGB-E remain unaffected by this.

The guarantee does not include damages, which were incurred as a result of improper handling or use, as well as malfunctions which only have a minor effect on the function or the value of the device. Consumables, transit damages, inasmuch as we are not responsible for these, as well as damages, which were incurred as a result of any repairs that were not performed by us, are also excluded from the guarantee entitlements.

This device is designed for use in domestic situations and has the appropriate performance levels.

Any use in commercial situations is only covered under the guarantee to the extent that it would be comparable with the stresses of being used in a domestic situation. It is not intended for any additional, commercial use.

In the event of justified complaints, we will repair the faulty device at our discretion or replace it with a trouble-free device.

Any pending faults must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
