How to clean the air filter of the TL18 PTC?

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Remove the screw from the rear grille, then the plastic tabs to remove the grille. Extract the filter, wash it with cold water, dry it completely, and put it back.

What to do if the heater does not turn on?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and that the power selector is not on 0. Make sure the thermostat is not at the minimum. If the problem persists, contact your dealer.

Can I use this heater in a bathroom?

No, it is forbidden to use the appliance near a shower, bath, or swimming pool. It is designed only for dry indoor use.

What is the maximum power consumption?

The maximum power is 2000 W in the 'very hot' setting. In the 'hot' setting, it is 1000 W. Ventilation only uses the fan motor.

How to set the desired temperature?

Turn the thermostat to maximum until the room is at the desired temperature, then turn it gently in the opposite direction until you hear a click. The appliance will then maintain that temperature automatically.

The heater stops on its own, is this normal?

Yes, this can be due to the thermostat cutting off when the temperature is reached, or to the tip-over safety if the appliance has been moved. Also check that it is not obstructed.

Can I leave the appliance unattended?

No, never leave the appliance running unattended. Turn it off and unplug it when leaving the room or the house.

How to maintain the exterior of the appliance?

Clean the air inlet and outlet grilles with a damp cloth (no detergents). Never immerse the appliance and do not spray water on it.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

Do not use the appliance. The cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or a qualified person to avoid any hazard.

Can the appliance be used by children?

Children under 3 years old should be kept away unless supervised. Children aged 3 to 8 can only turn the appliance on/off. Children aged 8 and above can use it if they have received safety instructions.

Installation manual and operating instructions

Please read these instructions carefully before using this ceramic heater in order to avoid damage or any dangerous situations arising. Any use of the product other than that indicated in this manual may cause fire, electrical danger, or injury and will make the warranty null and void.

The warranty does not cover any defect, deterioration, loss, injury, or damage that is due to incorrect use of the product. All legal rights in this regard are guaranteed. No warranty condition can exclude or change the warranty conditions regulated by State laws that may not be excluded or modified for any reason.

Before doing anything else, remove the packaging carefully and check the integrity of the product. Should any defects or damage be found, do not use or attempt to repair the equipment, but contact the dealer.

Do not leave the packaging within reach of children and dispose of the parts in compliance with current provisions.

1. Safety instructions

☐ Make sure the power supply corresponds to the details shown on the nameplate: 230 V \~ 50Hz
☐ This product has been designed as a mobile ceramic heater.
☐ Flammable objects (curtains, furniture, plants, etc.) should not be placed at less than 1 meter from the appliance.
☐ The heater must not be placed in a recessed place (under a table, desk, ...) where it interferes with the free circulation of air, both the inlet and outlet.
☐ The heater should not be placed immediately under a base of power point.
☐ Do not use this heater near a bath, shower or a swimming pool.
☐ Do not use the product in rooms filled with explosive gases or vapours generated by solvents and paints or that are inflammable.

☐ Do not insert any rigid body through the grilles, this could damage the heater, start a fire or electric shock.

□ Never leave your home with the product still running. If you do go out make sure that the switch is off.

☐ The device has high surface temperatures, which must not be touched, even after it has been switched off.

☐ CAUTION: Some parts of this product may be become hot and cause burns. Particular attention should be when children and vulnerable people are present.

- WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

- Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

- Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

☐ If the cable gets damaged it must be replaced by S&P – take the equipment to our official S&P because the work must be done by specialist personnel to avoid any risk of damage.

3. Use and operation

☐ Make sure the power supply corresponds to the details shown on the nameplate: 230 V \~ 50Hz.
Before connecting the product to the power, make sure that it is located on a stable floor and has a firm vertical position. Remember that as a safety feature, the product incorporates a safety tilt switch under the base.

☐ Connect the plug into the power point. The heater is a Class II appliance and it does not require an earth connection.
☐ Select the required power using the power selector and move the thermostat control to maximum position.

Once the room has reached the desired temperature, slowly move the control until there is a soft "click" and the device is disconnected. From this time the heater turns on and off automatically, keeping the pre-selected comfort temperature.

Note : The LED is illuminated whenever the heater is operating.

4. Maintenance

Before carrying out any maintenance work, make sure that the device has been disconnected from the mains and let the heater cool down for a few minutes.
☐ Periodically, to prevent an accumulation of dust, clean the inlet and outlet air grilles (Fig 1b-d) with a damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner. Never use petrol or aggressive and/or abrasive dissolvents to clean the device.
☐ If the air inlet filter is too blocked with dust, remove the screw that fix the rear grille (Fig.2) and use two plastic flange to remove it. You can clean the filter with cold water and install it again once completely dry.
☐ Do not immerse the device or spray with water.
☐ If the appliance is not to be used for any length of time, we recommend returning it to its original package and storing it in a dry, dust-free place.
