DESCRIPTION

This booklet is part of the appliance and should be read carefully before use as it provides important information on its safe installation, use and maintenance. Therefore keep it carefully for future reference.

  • Make sure the appliance is in good condition when you unpack it. In case of doubt do not use it and contact a TERMOZETA authorized Service Centre.
  • Do not leave parts of packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) within the reach of children or people with reduced mental capacity as they are potential sources of danger.
  • Make sure that the appliance operation voltage corresponds to the voltage of your home before plugging the appliance into the power outlet. In case of doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.
  • It is not advisable to use of adapters, power strips and extension cords. If necessary, use only certified devices that comply with current safety standards making sure they are compatible with the power of the appliance. In case of doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.
  • Any installation not conforming to instructions may endanger your safety and will void the guarantee.
  • The appliance is intended exclusively for domestic use for vacuuming dust in the home.
  • For safety's sake, be careful:

  • not to use the appliance with bare feet or with wet hands or feet.

  • not to use the appliance away from home
  • not to leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc..)
  • never to tug the power cord or the appliance itself to unplug from the outlet
  • not to leave the appliance plugged into the main power supply unattended
  • never to submerge the appliance in water or in other liquids.

  • This appliance can be used by children from 8 years of age and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they are properly monitored, or if they have been informed about the appliance safe use and if they realize the related dangers.

  • Children should be supervised to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • The cleaning and maintenance shall not be performed by children without supervision
  • The power cord must never be replaced by the user. Contact a TERMOZETA authorized Service Centre or professionally qualified persons in case of need.
  • Switch off and do not mishandle the appliance if it should break down and/or work badly. Contact a TERMOZETA authorized Service Centre for eventual repairs asking for original spare parts.
  • Put the appliance out of service at the end of its service life by cutting off the power cord after unplugging from the outlet. Abide by local existing rules and regulations for its disposal.
  • TERMOZETA may not be held liable for any damages to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or deriving from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.

ASSEMBLY

WARNING!

Carry out the following operations with appliance switched off and plug disconnected from the power outlet.

  • Insert the coupling (4) of the hose (1) into the appropriate hole (13) of the dust collecting container body (21) with lateral teeth in horizontal position (Fig. 1).
    The correct fitting is highlighted by a "click"
  • Attach the telescopic tube (5) at the end of the handle (2) and adjust it using the appropriate button (6): keeping the button pressed, you can pull the hose out to the desired length.
  • Then mount the tool most suitable to the type of use:

  • Two-position brush (floors/rugs and carpets) (7)

It can be used with the bristles extracted for vacuuming hard and smooth surfaces (e.g. floors) or with retracted bristles for vacuuming rugs and carpets.

To extract or retract the bristles it is sufficient to act on the pedal located above the brush.

  • Upholstery tool (8) is particularly suitable for cleaning sofas, armchairs and mattresses.
  • Crevice tool (9) Allows to vacuum in tight spaces (corners, crevices, radiators, etc..).

Accessories (7), (8) and (9) can be directly connected to the handle of the hose (1) or to the telescopic tube (5).

  • Make sure that the dust collecting container (21) is housed and properly mounted in the seat (11).
  • Always make sure that the filters (19), (23) and (24) are installed before using the appliance (refer to "Cleaning and Maintenance" paragraph).
  • Pull the power cord (18) from its seat and until to pull it out for its entire length. On the cable, a yellow notch indicates the ideal length of use. A red mark, instead, indicates the maximum limit of extension. Do not exceed this limit.
  • Insert the plug into the power outlet and press the ON button (14) to start the appliance.
  • Turning the power control button (14) it is possible to adjust the vacuuming power (Fig. 2).
  • While in use, to change the vacuuming level, slide forward or backward the cursor (3) on the handle (2) of the hose.
  • Using the holder (17) it is also possible to attach the brush (7) to the back of the appliance, during the stops (Fig. 3).

WARNING!

  • Do not vacuum flammable or explosive material, such as burning cigarettes or ashes produced by combustion (fireplaces or stoves).
  • Do not use the appliance on wet or damp surfaces.
  • Do not vacuum water or other liquids.
  • Do not obstruct the air ventilation outlets at the rear of the appliance.
  • Do not vacuum sharp objects.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, do not let it come into contact with sharp edges and do not make it slide on abrasive surfaces.
  • Do not use the appliance on the body parts of people or animals.
  • When using, do not slide the appliance on the power cord.
  • When carrying the appliance use exclusively the appropriate handle (16).
  • To avoid dangerous overheating it is recommended:

  • to fully extend the power cord.

  • to check that the dust collecting container (21) is not full.
  • to verify that the filters (19) and (24) are not obstructed and that the tubes are not clogged.
  • The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a thermal protection thermostat which stops the operation in case of motor overheating. If the thermostat intervenes, the vacuum cleaner stops, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains, check that the various filters are not clogged and allow to cool.
  • If the vacuuming is insufficient or nothing, empty and clean the dust collecting container (21) as indicated in the related paragraph, clean the filters (19) and (24) or remove any obstructions in the tubes.

AFTERUSE

  • After use, press the button (14) to turn off the appliance, then disconnect the plug from the power outlet.
  • Press the button (15) to rewind the power cord: when doing this it is recommended to accompany the power cord while it is being rewound.
  • If necessary, remove the tools and release the hose (1) from the coupling hole (13).
  • To remove the hose (1) press the buttons on the tube coupling (4) and rotate it 90^ counter-clockwise, then remove coupling (4) (Fig.4)

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!

Any cleaning and maintenance operation must be performed when the appliance is switched off and the plug disconnected from the power outlet.

DUST COLLECTING CONTAINER (21) CLEANING

  • Release the hose (1) by turning the coupling (4) counter-clockwise.
  • Remove the dust collecting container (21) from the appliance body (10) by holding down the appropriate release button (25) (fig. 5).
  • Empty the dust accumulated in the container (21), opening the container from the bottom and holding down the button (22) (fig. 6).

DUST COLLECTING CONTAINER (21) WASHING

  • After emptying the dust container (21), remove the cover (12) by turning it counterclockwise.
  • Remove both the dust filter (24) that the cyclonic filter (23).
  • Wash the dust filter container with water, letting it dry completely, replace the filters and reposition it in its seat (11).

For reasons of hygiene and to improve the vacuuming, clean the dust collecting container (21) frequently.

FILTERS (19), (23) and (24) CLEANING/REPLACEMENT

Rear filter

  • Remove the grid (20) on the rear of the appliance by pressing the appropriate upper tab.
  • Remove the rear filter (19) from its seat.
  • Wash the filter in warm water and let it dry completely before putting it back into place.
  • Reposition the rid (20) on the appliance body by inserting the bottom first and then attaching the top.

Dust container filters

  • After removing the cover (12) by turning counter-clockwise, remove the dust filter (24) and the cyclonic filter (23)
  • Rinse the filters in warm water and let them dry completely
  • Set the cyclonic filter (23) inside the container (21) taking care to its proper alignment with the coupling hole (13) (fig. 7).
  • Set the dust filter (24) above the cyclonic filter.
  • Properly align the cover (12) above the container (21) and turn it clockwise until it locks (fig. 8).

If necessary, replace the used filters with new filters.

TERMOZETA recommends replacing the filters (19) and (24) at least once a year.

For the purchase of filters contact only a Termozeta authorized service center and ask for original spare parts.

APPLIANCE BODY (10) CLEANING

  • To clean the appliance body, use only a slightly damp soft cloth.
  • Never use detergents, acids or abrasives.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Before storing the unit, wait for it to be completely dry.

INFORMATION FOR USERS

In accordance with European Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal.

  • The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
  • Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
  • The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
  • Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws in force.
