How to install the can opener lever?

Align the cams of the lever with the notches on the appliance, then slightly lower the lever to the right until it clicks into place. It should snap into place with a slight drop.

What type of cans can the appliance open?

The appliance is suitable for opening cans with a maximum diameter of 125 mm. Do not use the appliance for pressurized cans or those containing flammable liquids.

How to use the knife and scissors sharpener?

Remove the storage cover, place the sharpener in the notches and turn it a quarter turn until it clicks. Insert the blade into the appropriate slot, lower the lever to start the appliance, then slide the blade slowly.

How to clean the appliance?

Unplug the appliance. Remove the lever by pivoting it fully to the left. Clean the body with a damp cloth and the lever with a dish brush and a little detergent. Never put the appliance in the dishwasher and do not immerse the cord or plug.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

Do not use the appliance. Have the cord replaced by a qualified technical service. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.

How to open a bottle with this appliance?

Place the bottle at an angle against the bottle opener, with the cap rim hooked behind the edge. Hold the appliance with one hand on top and lift the bottle to remove the cap.

Can the appliance be used by children?

No, this appliance must not be used by children or persons with limited abilities without supervision. Keep the appliance out of reach of children and ensure they do not play with it.

How to store the power cord?

The cord can be wound into the storage space provided for this purpose at the back of the appliance.

What to do in case of breakdown?

How to remove the lid after opening?

The lid is held by a magnet in the lever. Gently raise the lever, grasp the can, then immediately remove the lid from the magnet, being careful of sharp edges.

Congratulations on the purchase of your multifunctional opener. This electrical opener opens various sizes and types of can. In addition, with this appliance you also have a bottle opener, an electric knife and scissor sharpener, a handy storage space for the sharpener and a storage space for the cord. The appliance is easy to clean, thanks to the removable can opener handle.

• Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.
• Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions.

Electricity and heat

• Make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type plate on the appliance before use.

• Switch the appliance off before changing any parts or accessories.

Using for the first time

1. Take the appliance and the accessories out of the packaging and remove all the packaging materials.
2. Clean the appliance before using it for the first time (see 'Cleaning and maintenance').

Use of the appliance

1. Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface where it cannot fall over.
2. Put the plug in the wall socket. If you are no longer using the appliance, remove the plug from the wall socket.
3. Clean the appliance after use according to the instructions in 'Cleaning and maintenance'.
4. Store the appliance.

Opening a can

1. Place the can opener handle in the appliance by pushing the shaft of the handle into the hole with two grooves until the handle turns slightly clockwise and engages.

1. Clean the top of the can to be opened.
2. Position the can vertically under the handle against the appliance with the edge of the can on the drive wheel.
3. Switch the appliance on by pushing the handle downwards.
4. Hold the handle until the can has made a full turn and the top of the can has come free. The top is held by the handle magnet.
5. Carefully allow the handle to raise and grasp the can immediately with your other hand.
6. Place the can out of the way on a level surface.
7. Remove the top of the can immediately from the magnet to prevent injury. Be careful of the sharp edges!

Note The appliance is suitable for cans with a diameter up to a max. 125mm.

Sharpening knives and scissors

1. Remove the cover of the accessories storage compartment and remove the knife and scissor sharpener.
2. Carefully press the stripes on the underside of the cover plate so that it comes free.
3. Remove the cover plate and let it hang downwards.

1. Position the knife and scissor sharpener with the shaft in the grooves of the hole and turn the sharpener a quarter turn clockwise until it clicks into position.
2. The sharpener has two grooves, one for the left side and one for the right cutting side of the knife or scissors. Position a knife or a pair of scissors with the cutting edge downwards in a groove in the knife and scissor sharpener.
3. Press the can opener handle inwards to operate the appliance.
4. Move the knife or scissors slowly with the whole cutting edge through the groove.
5. Release the handle again to stop the appliance.
6. Remove any remaining metal shavings from the knife or scissors with a cloth.

Note Test the sharpness of the knife or scissor with a vegetable or a piece of fruit or something similar, but not with your hands.

Opening bottles

1. Use the bottle opener to open bottles with a cap. Tilt the bottle against the bottle opener with the cap against the raised edge of the opener.
2. Place your other hand on top of the appliance to keep it balanced.
3. Remove the cap by tilting the bottle slightly upwards.

Cleaning and maintenance

1. Ensure the plug has been removed from the wall socket.
2. Remove the handle from the can opener. To do this, turn the handle anti-clockwise as far as possible and pull it carefully out of the appliance.
3. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and then dry it.
4. Clean the can opener handle with a brush and soapy water.

Note The appliance and its parts are not dishwasher-proof.

Note You can stow the cord in the handy compartment at the rear of the appliance.

Warranty terms

The importer guarantees the appliance against defects caused by manufacturing and/or material faults for 60 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions.

1. No charges will be made for labour costs or materials during the warranty period. Any repairs carried out during the warranty period do not extend the warranty period.
2. The importer automatically becomes the owner of any faulty parts that he replaces or a faulty appliance (in the event of replacement of the appliance).
3. All claims submitted under warranty must be accompanied by the original bill of sale.
4. Claims under warranty must be submitted to the dealer where the appliance was purchased or to the importer.
5. The warranty is issued solely to the first purchaser and cannot be transferred.
6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
   a. Accidents, incorrect use, wear and/or neglect.
   b. Faulty installation and/or use in a manner contravening the prevailing legal, technical or safety regulations.
   c. Connection to a mains voltage other than the voltage specified on the type plate.

d. Unauthorized modifications.
e. Repairs carried out by third parties.
f. Careless transport, i.e. without suitable packaging materials or protection.
7. No claims may be made under this warranty for:
a. Losses incurred during transport.
b. The removal or changing of the appliance's serial number.
8. The guarantee does not cover power cords, lamps or glass parts.
9. No claims can be submitted under this warranty for damage other than the repair or replacement of faulty parts. The importer can never be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage or any other consequences, resulting either directly or indirectly from the appliance supplied by the importer.
10. In case of claims under guarantee you can contact your dealer where the appliance is purchased. Bestron offers you also the possibility to send the appliance directly to our Service Department. Do not send your appliance without consulting us. The package may be refused and any any costs will be for your account. Please contact the Service Department and they will tell you how to pack and send the appliance.
11. This appliance is not suitable for professional use.
