natural_image
Mechanical assembly diagram showing a red cylindrical component being processed into a metallic housing (no text or symbols visible)The KISS espresso coffee machine has been developed for the use of METODO IPERESPRESSO MIE capsules.
Place a cup on the cup support grid. Insert the capsule in the capsule holder. Insert the capsule holder in the coffee dispensing unit.
Turn the opening/closing lever to the left as far as the stop device.

The circle selected (small for Ristretto and large for Espresso coffee) lights up with a fixed white light, while the perimeter of the control panel is lit up gradually. The machine is reaching the necessary temperature and will start to dispense the coffee after about 30 seconds.

When the light in the perimeter of the control panel goes out, the selected circle remains lit with a fi xed white light and an acoustic signal is given: dispensing is fi nished and the coffee is ready to be enjoyed.

Immediately afterwards, the machine starts loading water for the next coffee. Wait untile the loading cycle is fi nished before removing the used capsule. At the end of the cycle, the two circles are lit with a fi xed blue light: the machine is ready to prepare other coffee.
To prepare more coffees proceed as follows:
Check the water level in the tank. The tank icon 📋 on the control panel lit with a fixed white light indicates that the tank is empty.
Turn the opening/closing lever of the capsule holder to the right.
Remove the used capsule from the capsule holder, insert a new capsule and repeat the procedure described above.

Press the thermometer icon and the water tank icon at the same time.
Both icons start to illuminate in red.
At this point reset is completed.
DESCALING
Lime scale is formed depending on the time of use of the machine, particularly when the water is heated. The need to remove scale also depends largely on the quality of the water in your region. You can ask your local water authority about the hardness of your water supply. In the case of water with a high calcium content (hard water) and daily use of the machine, we recommend removing scale every 2 months; for soft or medium-hard water, about every 3 months.
Lime scale can notably reduce the working life of the machine.
The following faults and defects may occur:
- Lime scale can block the flow of water in the pipes
• The ring gaskets may be damaged - Formation of corrosion
- The efficiency of the heating system is reduced with consequent increased energy consumption
DESCALING PROCEDURE

The machine has an alarm system for descaling. The alarm is activated after 300 coffees: both circles (small and large) blink 3 times with a yellow light and an acoustic signal is given at the same time; afterwards the circles keep illuminated.

text_image
Dummy Kapsel- Empty the tank. - Insert the dummy capsule provided for cleaning in the capsule holder. - Fill the tank half with the product indicated for descaling (1 portion of 125m Durgol or any other liquid scale remover for coffee machines suitable for contact with foodstuffs) and half with tap water. - Place a plastic container with a capacity of at least half a liter under the capsule holder.

Press the thermometer and water tank icons at the same time for about 3 seconds.
The perimeter of the control panel starts to blink gradually. The descaling cycle has begun.
The liquid that comes out is collected in the container you put into position.
Place the container in such a way as to prevent splashing.

The descaling cycle is ended when the light in the two circles illuminate in yellow and an acoustic signal is given.
The scale removing cycle can be started before the machine gives the alarm by pressing the thermometer and water tank icons at the same time for at least 5 seconds. For the subsequent operations, repeat the steps described above.
ATTENTION
Do not throw out the dummy capsule provided in the packaging; you will need it for the next descaling cycles.
The liquid that comes out of the dispensing unit during the process may be boiling. Use only liquid scale remover suitable for contact with foodstuffs specifically intended for espresso coffee machines.
TO RINSE THE MACHINE
When the descaling cycle is complete, you must proceed as follows:
Rinse the tank with tap water.
Fill the tank with fresh tap water.
The dummy capsule remains inserted in the capsule holder and the lever remains closed.

Press one of the yellow blinking circles (small or large). The rinse cycle has begun.
Repeat the operation 1-2 times to rinse the machine thoroughly.

The rinse cycle is ended when the light in the two circles (small and large) goes out and they are lit with a fixed blue light.
Remove the dummy capsule and enjoy your next coffee.
ATTENTION
Vinegar, detergent containing vinegar, lye, salt, formic acid, etc. cause damage to the machine.
Never leave the scale removing agent too long in the machine!
Water with added scale removing substances cannot be drunk or used in any other way.
CLEANING AND MAINTAINANCE
For perfect operation and high espresso quality, clean the machine regularly and thoroughly.
The machine must be cold and must not be connected to the power mains.
Do not use distilled or demineralized water or water with added gas for making coffee. This could compromise the machine operation.
Empty and clean the drip tray regularly.
Change the water in the tank regularly.
ATTENTION
Do not clean the machine with aggressive detergents (methanol, methyl chloride, acetone), as they could damage the surfaces.
During cleaning and maintenance of the machine the plug must always be disconnected from the power socket.
