Safety advice and warnings

  • Read these instructions carefully before switching on the appliance and keep them for future reference. Failure to follow and observe

these instructions may result in an accident.

Electric safety:

  • Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.

  • Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.

  • Connect the appliance to a base with an earth socket withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.

  • The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.

  • Only use the appliance with the specific electric connector provided.

  • If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock.

  • Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.

  • CAUTION: Maintain the appliance dry.

Instructions for use

Use:

  • Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in.
  • Connect the appliance to the mains.
  • Remove the protective lid (Fig. 1).
  • Make sure that the blades are correctly aligned
  • To attach a comb guide, pick it up by its two tips and press it against the blades of the appliance until it is firmly fixed. To remove it, just pull it out (Fig 2)
  • Turn the appliance on using the on/off switch.

  • You can restart the appliance using the switch, but once the control device has cooled, if it has not restarted do not force it and leave it to cool.

How to cut the hair:

  • Situate the person whose hair you are going to cut so that the top of their head is at your eye level.
  • To obtain best results is better to use the appliance on dry hair, as it is much easier to control the hair and the result.
  • Hold the appliance in a calm and relaxed manner in order to ensure maximum control of the cut and a uniform result. Proceed to use short cuts gradually going around the head.
  • Leave the hair a little longer than desired length as it can always be altered later.
  • While working adapt the comb / comb guide to the desired result.
  • At regular intervals, stop cutting in order to comb the hair and check the results so far.

Step 1 Nape:

  • Attach comb guide size: 3mm o 6mm.
    Hold the appliance with the razor facing downwards and begin to cut the hair from the base of the neck.
  • Make some upward movements, raising the appliance gradually and away from the head, cutting the hair gradually until the height of the ears (Fig. 3)

Step 2 The back of the head:

  • Attach comb guide size 9-12mm and continue with the back of the head (Fig 4)

Step 3 The side of the head:

  • Attach comb guide size: 3mm o 6mm to trim the sideburns.
  • Attach the longest comb guide size 9mm / 12mm again and continue until you reach the top of the head.

Step 4 The top of the head:

  • Attach comb guide size 9mm or 12mm, pass the appliance from the back to the front, against the growth of the hair (Fig 5). In some cases it's necessary to go over what you have done a second time from front to back.
  • Attach comb guide size 3mm or 6mm when you want to achieve a more precise cut.
  • Use comb guides size 9-12mm to leave hair at a longer length. Hold the hair up with the comb or the comb and your fingers and cut.
  • Always work from the back to the front reducing the length between your fingers or the comb and the head gradually.

Step 5. Final touch

  • Finally use the appliance without attaching any comb guides to the blades to cut the hair around the base of the neck, the sides of the neck and the ears.
  • To make the sideburns straight, turn the appliance over to use the upper blades (Fig 6). Move the appliance adapting it the physiognomy of the head.

Once you have finished using the appliance:

  • Turn the appliance off, using the on/off switch.

  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains.

  • Clean the appliance
  • Put on the protective cover.

Cleaning

  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
  • Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
  • Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid, or place it under a running tap.
  • During the cleaning process, take special care with the blades, as they are very sharp.
  • Clean the blades and the comb guides with the cleaning brush. Remove the hairs from the blades and from inside the appliance with the brush. It is important to clean off remaining hairs after each use.

  • Take the appliance to an authorised technical support service if problems arise. Do not try to dismantle or repair without assistance, as this may be dangerous.

  • If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced and you should proceed as you would in the case of damage.
