☐ Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

☐ Only use the appliance in the way indicated in this instruction manual.

☐ Should you hand over the appliance to another user, make sure to hand over the instruction manual together with the appliance.

☐ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the appliance before using the appliance.

☐ People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance without supervision or instructions of a responsible person.

☐ Never leave your appliance unsupervised when in use.

☐ Close supervision is necessary if children are near the appliance in order to avoid that they use it as a toy.

From time to time check the appliance and its cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. In that case, all repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*). Never use the appliance if it shows visible damage.

☐ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.

☐ Never immerse the cord, plug, lid or heating element in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place the appliance into the dishwasher.

☐ Caution: the lid serves as a safety device. If it is not properly closed or fitted on the appliance, the oven switches off or cannot be activated.

☐ Never use the appliance near a gas source, near a gas or electric hob, near hot plates or in a heated furnace.

Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.

☐ Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

☐ Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

☐ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

☐ Stand the appliance on a steady, flat and heat-resistant surface. Never put it near the edge of the working top.

☐ Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.

☐ Only cook consumable food suitable for baking or grilling. Do not place paper, cardboard, plastic or other highly combustible materials in the halogen oven in order to avoid all risk of fire or electrocution.

☐ Under no circumstances should you add additional oil or any other liquid into the glass bowl for the purpose of cooking.

It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into contact with food.

☐ Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.

☐ The temperature of the accessible surfaces, such as the glass bowl, may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch those surfaces during use nor before the appliance has totally cooled down. Risk of burning!
☐ Should the symbol be indicated on a certain surface, you need to be careful when handling the product. This symbol means: CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during use.
☐ Make sure the hot parts of the appliance never come into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc., as a fire might occur. Also make sure not to cover the appliance and do not put anything on top of it.
☐ Be extremely cautious as oil and fat preparations might catch fire if overheated.
☐ Do not place large pieces of food in the oven. There always has to be sufficient distance to the lid/heating element.
☐ Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system.
☐ Do not move the halogen oven when it is in use.

(1) Competent qualified service: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this service.

- Outside measurements: width 320mm x depth 420mm x height 340mm (410mm with extension ring)
• Capacity: 10 liter, with extension ring 16 liter.
• Equipment: appliance with lid (with built-in heating element, fan, timer and temperature control), glass bowl (11), roller ring (16), rotating rack (13), baking tray (12), carrying handle for baking tray and rack (15), extension ring (14), food tumbler (17) and aid (18)

BEFORE USE

• Unpack the appliance and accessories, then wash and wipe these accessories.
• Activate the halogen oven only on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface.
- It is normal if some smoke or smell emanates from the appliance when using it for the first time. Therefore, we advise you to use your appliance empty once before the first use. Set the timer to ca. 10 minutes at the maximum temperature (250°C).

ASSEMBLY

Open the lid until it clicks into place in almost vertical position. Take away the glass bowl and put the roller ring (16) exactly on the lower drive train in the middle of the base. Put the glass bowl (11) on the base. According to the application, put other accessories in the glass bowl.

When using the tumbler (17), you can lock it in place by turning it anticlockwise lightly.

Assemble the aid (18) on the edge of the glass bowl in such a way that the middle is in front of the lug of the silicone ring (10).

The silicone ring can be removed for cleaning. However please take care to put it back correctly on the glass edge – smooth side upwards.

When you do not use the food tumbler and aid, put the rack and/or the baking tray in the glass bowl.

By pressing down the release button (3) on the right back side of the appliance you can close the lid again.

When you need an enlargement of the cooking chamber, press the lever (2) on the back side down and pull the lid incl. the heating and fan unit upwards,

USE

  • When using for the first time, clean the appliance with a damp cloth and wipe dry.
  • Plug the unit into an earthed wall socket.
  • Put the food in the oven on the rack or baking tray at the desired height. Make sure that the foods are at sufficient distance from the lid/heating fan. Close the lid.
  • Select the desired time and temperature thanks to the knobs of the control panel on the lid. The red power indicator lights up as soon as the appliance is switched on. The green control light lights up when the appliance is heating.
  • Turn the mechanical timer (7) to set the desired cooking time. You'll hear a signal when the cooking time has elapsed. The appliance will switch off automatically. The pilot lights will go out.
    • If you want to stop before the selected time is over, place the timer in the "0" position.
    • Always carefully open the lid using oven gloves fittingly. Caution! Do not touch the hot parts, especially the metal shaft from which the hot air is blown out. Risk of burning!
  • Remove the food carefully using appropriate utensils.
    • After use, remove the plug from the wall socket.

SETTINGS

THERMOSTAT

You can adjust the temperature steplessly up to 250°C.

TIMER

You can choose a desired cooking time up to 60 minutes. If you wish to set the timer to less than 5 minutes, turn it to a position higher than 5 minutes first and then set it back to the desired time.

MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from outlet and allow it to cool down.

Cleaning removable parts

Remove the accessories and the glass bowl and clean these parts in soapy water. Please take care to put back the protective cap on the food tumbler before use.

Cleaning appliance

  • Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth.
  • Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS

  • A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
    • The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance.
  • The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table, where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

No claims will be accepted for broken accessories, defects resulting from inappropriate use or care, excessive wear due to intensive use, wrong use due to the non-observance of the instruction manual, or normal wear and tear. No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been modified or if attempts have been made to repair the appliance. In such case, the vendor cannot be held responsible in case of accidents.

TERMS OF GUARANTEE ONLY FOR FRANCE AND BELGIUM

If you detect a defect or if you have a problem concerning the use of your appliance, please contact our after sales service (coordinates see warranty card). IF THE AFTER SALES SERVICE IS NOT ABLE TO HELP YOU, THEN PLEASE PROCEED AS DESCRIBED BELOW.

If you detect a defect, please contact your vendor or shop and return your complete appliance in its original packaging together with the receipt. Claims under guarantee will only be valid if the receipt or a copy of a repair bill is handed over with the appliance that needs repair.

Or send the appliance cleaned, well packed and with a short, easily readable description of the default as well as the receipt freight prepaid to our customer service (coordinates see warranty card).

In case of a defective accessory, the complete appliance will not be exchanged, but only the accessory will be sent free of charge. In such case, do not return the complete appliance but only order the accessory! In case of glass damages, glass spare parts will be charged.

Pieces undergoing wear and tear as well as cleaning and maintenance or the exchange of worn out pieces are not covered by the guarantee and will thus be charged!

Repairs after the guarantee period can be performed at a charge by a competent qualified technician or a repair service.
