May we take this opportunity of thanking you for choosing the rechargeable Body Hair Clipper from Lanaform. Robust and easy to use, the Body Hair Clipper is intended for domestic use. Its different removable combs mean you can easily cut your hair to the length you wish, and also shave yourself, or trim your beard, arms or body. You may use the Body Hair Clipper under both dry and damp conditions. We hope that this product will give you entire satisfaction. Please read the following instructions carefully before using the Body Hair Clipper.

Utilisation

1) Attach one of the combs to the razor (2 or 4mm).
2) Use the clipper first of all to shorten the hair. Then to obtain the best results, remove the comb and finish with the razor.
3) Le Body Hair Clipper may be used either dry or under the shower; it must not, however, be immersed in a bath.

Charging the clipper-razor

1) Plug the DC plug from the charger into the DC socket situated at the extremity of the charging base.
2) Connect the charger to the mains power supply.
3) Switch off the unit and place it in its charging support cradle.
4) The red indicator light will glow; it indicates that the unit is being charged.
5) Before using the unit for the very first time, it must be charged for at least 24 hours.
6) After several uses, when the battery is weak, recharge it for a period of at least 7 hours.
7) To conserve battery capacity, you should discharge the battery completely every three months and then recharge it completely.
8) If the charging light does not come on, check that the plug is making good contact with the socket on the base

Cleaning and storage

1) After use, switch off the unit and disconnect it, remove the cutting head while holding the front edge. Rinse the blades under the tap, or clean them using the cleaning brush provided (see figure A).
2) Always use fresh water only to clean the Body Hair Clipper, without any additional cleaning products.
3) Dry the unit using a dry cloth.
4) Always store the unit in a dry place out of the reach of children.
5) Do not submerge the Body Hair Clipper in order to clean it.

Important safety instructions

Whenever you use electrical equipment, always observe basic safety advice.

DANGER

To reduce the risk of electrocution:

1. Never try to recover any electrical equipment that has fallen into water. Disconnect it immediately.
2. Do not place, store, or charge the Body Hair Clipper in a position where it might fall or be pulled into a bath or washbasin.
3. After charging, disconnect the unit.
4. Disconnect the unit before cleaning it.
5. This unit is water-resistant but cannot be immersed in water.

ATTENTION

To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution or injury:

1. Care should be taken whenever The Body Hair Clipper is used in the vicinity of children.
2. Only use the unit for purposes described in the manual.
3. The Body Hair Clipper must never be exposed to temperatures less than 0^ or greater than 41^ .
4. Never use this unit if the cable or plug is damaged, if it does not operate normally take it for repair to your supplier or his after-sales service.
5. Never put foreign objects into any of the openings in the Body Hair Clipper.
6. Keep the cable clear of very hot surfaces.
7. Do not use abrasive substances or aggressive cleansers.
8. Do not use this unit with a damaged or split grille.
9. This unit is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental capacities, or by persons lacking experience or knowledge unless they have been provided, by a person in charge of safety, with

supervision or prior instructions concerning the use of the unit. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.

Protection of the environment

The Body Hair Clipper contains rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries. Once their useful life is at an end, remove the cutter head by pulling from the front, taking care to protect your fingers with a cloth. Unscrew the head retaining screws. Withdraw the head first of all. Tap the unit on a hard surface covered with a thick, protective cloth, to open the housing. Unsolder the joints and remove the batteries for correct disposal. Return the batteries to your reseller, or dispose of them correctly at a designated site in accordance with the legal requirements in force in your region.

LIMITED GUARANTEE

LANAFORM® guarantees that this product is free of all manufacturing and material defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except under the following circumstances: this guarantee for a LANAFORM® product does not cover damage resulting from incorrect or improper use, accidental damage, the addition of an unapproved accessory, any modification to the product or any other situation outside the control of LANAFORM®.

LANAFORM® is not liable for any accidental, consequential or special damage.

All implicit guarantees covering product suitability are limited to a period of two years from the date of initial purchase.

On reception, LANAFORM® will, as it deems fit, repair or replace your personal razor-clipper and will return it to you carriage paid. This guarantee is only valid through the LANAFORM® Service Centre. In the event that this unit is repaired by any person other than the LANAFORM® Service Centre, the guarantee is null and void.
