- Read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
- Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
- In case of damage caused by failure of not living up to this manual the warranty will decay immediately. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to not living up the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) when reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Children must be strictly supervised to prevent them from treating the appliance as a toy.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Always remove the power cord and let it cool: - Before moving the unit; - Before the unit is stored; - Before you go mounting or dismantle parts; - Before cleaning or maintenance work; - After use.
- Only have the appliance repaired by a qualified service centre.

- Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage is the same and the voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance.
- Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.
- Regularly check the power cord for damage
- Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified service centre.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer or the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
- Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or steam.
- Always remove the plug from the plug socket before you move the appliance.
- The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control.

- The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Only use the appliance indoors, in dry areas away from water.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!
- To reduce the risk of electric shock do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces
- Place the appliance on a stable, level surface from which it cannot fall of.
- Use the appliance on a flat, dry and heat resistance surface, not on varnished furniture.
- Place the appliance at least 5cm of the wall or flammable objects (such as curtains, candles or towels).

- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- It is necessary to keep this appliance clean because it is in direct contact with food
- Parts of the appliance become hot during use. Therefore, the appliance must only be held by the handle. Avoid touching the metal parts as they become very hot.
Warning!! Please do not touch surface while in use. The accessible surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
- Please remove all the various packaging materials
- Wipe off the unit with a slightly dampened cloth.
- With first use the appliance can spread some smell and smoke, this is normal OPERATION
- Plug the device into a properly installed mains socket (the power indicator lights up).
- The plate requires approx. 2-3 minutes to warm up.
- When the desired temperature has been attained, the temperature indicator lights up.
- Now open the device and place the dough inside.
- The heating plates include a non-stick coating. This means pre-greasing is not necessary for normal use.
- Now shut the lid, the baking process will last approx. 4-6 minutes (depending on the thickness and content of the dough).
- Now remove the cup-cakes with the help of wooden or heat resistant plastic spatula. Do not use any objects with sharp edges, to avoid damaging the coating!
- Unplug the device after use. RECIPE Basic recipe cup-cakes for ca 16 pieces 2 eggs 145g castor sugar ½ sachet vanilla sugar 145 g self-rising flour 9stifted) Pinch of salt 65g melted butter Beat the eggs with the castor sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the flour scoop by scoop and stir after each scoop. Then add the salt and butter and stir again. Place if desired the paper cake cases in the appliance. Fill each hole in the lower plate half with the cup-cake batter. Bake the cup-cakes until they are golden brown, approx. 7-10 minutes. Strawberry cup-cakes for ca 8 pieces 65g butter 85g sugar 2 eggs 135g flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 65g strawberry 35ml milk 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar Salt Put the butter and sugar in a bowl and stir it firmly. Add the eggs one by one and mix it into a smooth batter. Add the milk and vanilla sugar. Mash ¼ of the strawberries and stir this through the mixture. Powder the rest of the strawberries with some flour, add it to the mixture and stir firmly. Place if desired the paper cake cases in the appliance. Fill each hole in the lower plate half with the cup-cake batter. Bake the cup-cakes until they are golden brown, approx. 7-10 minutes. Chocolate cup-cakes for ca 8 pieces 260g plain chocolate, in pieces 30g soft butter 130g brown sugar 3 eggs 30g flour Salt First melt the chocolate in about 30 seconds using the microwave. Stir it until the
chocolate is smooth. You can also melt the chocolate au bain-marie. Beat the butter together with the soft brown sugar mixture. Add the flour and a pinch of salt. Finally add the melted chocolate. Place if desired the paper cake cases in the appliance. Fill each hole in the lower plate half with the cup-cake batter. Bake the cup-cakes until they are golden brown, approx. 7-10 minutes. Raspberry cup-cakes for ca 8 pieces 95g self-rising flout 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder 40g castor sugar 1 egg 75g raspberries 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil 2 tablespoons of milk 2 teaspoons of cane sugar Beat the egg. Mix the flour, cinnamon and castor sugar in a bowl. Make a hole in the center of the mixture and pour the stirred egg, oil and milk in. mix firmly. Then add the raspberries to the batter. This must be done in a careful way. Place if desired the paper cake cases in the appliance. Fill each hole in the lower plate half with the cup-cake batter. Bake the cup-cakes until they are golden brown, approx. 7- 10 minutes. Hazelnut cup-cakes for ca 8 pieces 80g butter 100g flour 80g brown sugar 50g hazelnuts, quartered ½ teaspoon baking powder 6g rum 1 egg 1g cinnamon powder 1½ teaspoon instant coffee 80g powdered sugar 1½ tablespoon hot water Chocolate coffee beans Stir the butter soft and creamy with the sugar. Add the egg and stir, add the flour and stir, strew the baking powder and cinnamon above and then stir. Add the quartered hazelnuts, the rum and a pinch of salt. Stir everything firmly. Place if desired the paper cake cases in the appliance. Fill each hole in the lower plate half with the cup-cake batter. Bake the cup-cakes until they are golden brown, approx. 7-10 minutes. For making the icing, dissolve the instant coffee very well and stir this through the powdered sugar.
Warming: Before cleaning the appliance, always switch it off, disconnect it from the electricity supply and allow it to completely cool down.
- Do not allow stains to dry. Clean the appliance and the baking surfaces as soon as possible after use.
- The inner baking surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild washing-up liquid. Wipe the surfaces dry with a soft cloth.
- Do not use any wire wool, metal brushes, scourers or other hard objects to clean the appliance and the baking surfaces; these could scratch the appliance and its non-stick surfaces.
- Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

When your appliance shows defects, you can refer to your salesperson. Your salesperson will make sure any defect will be repaired as soon as possible. Repairs outside the warranty period You can always hand in your appliance to have it repaired outside the warranty period. This will of course not be free of charge. - TOMADO provides a 2-year warranty for all defects caused by hidden deficiencies which render the appliance useless for normal operation.
- The warranty runs from the date of purchase; we advise you to carefully save your receipt.
- Within the warranty period any defects in production or material will be resolved free of charge, by means of reparation, replacement of parts or replacement of the appliance as a whole.
- The warranty certificate has to be filled in by the sales person at the moment of purchase.
- Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the warranty period.
- The warranty does not apply when defects or damages result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre (excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
- The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not following the guidelines in the instruction manual and usual wear and tear.
- The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the lack of frequent descaling of appliances, whatever type of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee machines and water boilers).
