2.2 Safety instructions for use of the device

The specifications regarding the industrial safety are based on the Regulations of the European Union applicable at the time of manufacturing the device. The user is obliged to ensure that the said industrial safety measures concur with the state of the rules and regulations applicable at the time in question for the entire period of use of the device and to comply with the new specifications. CAUTION! o The device can be used by children 8 years and up, as well as by people with disabilities and those with limited experience/knowledge as long as they are under supervision or have been instructed on proper use of the device and its possible dangers.- 23 - o Children should not play with the device. o Cleaning and maintenance cannot be performed by children younger than 8 years old and must be done under supervision. o Children under the age of 8 years old must be kept away from the device and its power cord. o Please keep these instructions and give them to future owners of the device. o All people using the device should follow the instructions and tips contained in these instructions. o Only use the device indoors.

Safe operation is only guaranteed when using the device for its intended purpose. Any technical interventions, as well as assembly and maintenance are to be made by a qualified customer service only. The device is intended for home use or in similar places such as: - in kitchens for store or office employees or in other service locations; - in suburban properties; - by guests of hotels, motels and other places of accommodation;

The device is not suitable for continuous commercial use. The food processor is designed for mixing, making milkshakes, preparing purée and beverages, and also for cutting, chopping, grating and slicing fruits and vegetables. CAUTION! Any use going beyond the intended purpose and/or any different use of the device is forbidden and is not considered as conventional. Any claims against the manufacturer or his authorized representative as a consequence of experiencing damages resulting from unconventional use are impossible. The operator is liable for all damages resulting from inappropriate use.- 24 -

3. Transport, packaging and storage

Please check the delivery upon completeness and transport damage immediately after receipt. In case of visible damage do not accept or accept the delivery with reservation only. Note the extent of damage on the carrier’s bill of delivery. Trigger off the complaint. Hidden damages should be reclaimed immediately after notice, as claims for damages can only be asserted within the effective period for complaints.

Please do not throw away the covering carton of your device as it might be useful for storage purposes, when moving or, in case of damages, when the device must be sent back to a repair center. The outer and inner packing material should be removed completely from the device before installation. NOTE! If you liked to dispose the packing, consider the regulations applicable in your country. Supply re-usable packing materials to the recycling. Please inspect the device upon completeness. In case any part is missing please contact our customer service center immediately.

Keep the package closed until installation and under consideration of the outside indicated positioning- and storage markings. Packages should be stored under consideration of the following: - Do not store outdoors. - Keep it dry and dust-free. - Do not expose it to aggressive media. - Do not expose it to direct sunlight. - Avoid mechanical shocks and vibration. - In case of longer storage (> 3 months) make sure you check the state of the packaging and the parts regularly. 5. Installation and operation

5.1 Safety instructions

WARNING! Risk of electric shock! The device must only be connected to a properly installed single socket with protective contact. Never remove the power cable by pulling the cable itself; always grab the plug housing.

  • Never allow the power cable to come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges. The power cable should not hang over the side of the working surface. Ensure that no one can step on or trip over the cable.
  • The power cable must not be folded, bent or tangled, and must always remain fully unrolled.
  • Never place the device or other objects on the power cable.
  • Do not lay the cable over carpets or heat insulations. Do not cover the cable. Keep away the cable from operating range and do not dunk it into water.
  • Do not use the device in case it does not function properly, has been damaged or dropped.- 28 -
  • Do not use any accessory or spare parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer. These can be dangerous for the user or lead to damages of the device or personal injury, and further, the warranty expires.
  • Do not move or tilt the device when in operation.
  • Never leave the device unsupervised when in use.
  • Never operate the device with wet hands.
  • Never place your hands or kitchen utensils inside the device when in use.
  • Always ensure the device is properly assembled prior to use.

Safety function This function allows the device to be activated only when the mixing cup or bowl is properly installed on the motor housing. When the mixing cup or bowl is removed from the motor housing, the motor turns off. Overheating prevention This function is automatically activated when the device overheats from being used for too long or from being overloaded. The device turns off automatically, then comes back on after around 15 minutes.

5.2 Installation and connection

  • Unpack the device and remove all packing material.
  • Put the device in a safe place which can support its weight and maintain stability.
  • Use the device on a smooth, clean and dry surface the device's suction cups can stick to.
  • Never use the device in wet or moist surroundings.
  • Do not place the device near open flames, electric ovens or other sources of heat. WARNING! Hazard via electrical current! The device can cause injuries due to improper installation! Before installation the local power grid specification should be compared with that of the device (see type label). Connect the device only in case of compliance! Take note of the security advice!- 29 -
  • The electrical circuit must be secured to a minimum of 16A. Only connect the device to a wall socket, do not use extension cords or power strips.
  • Ensure the device's plug is easily accessible in order to quickly turn the device off if necessary.
  • Clean the device and accessories prior to use in accordance with the instructions in 6.2 „Cleaning“.
  • Place the motor housing on a level, stable service. Using the mixing bowl and accessories
  • Place the mixing bowl on the motor housing and turn it clockwise to fix it securely.
  • Use the supplied accessories in the following manner: the stainless steel blade for pureeing and chopping; the plastic knife for pureeing cooked food; the cutting discs for cutting, grating and chopping fruit and vegetables.
  • Place the blade adapter upright inside the mixing bowl on the blade lock.
  • Install the appropriate blade for the type of foodstuff to be processed and manner of processing.
  • Install the desired blade on the adapter.
  • When a cutting disc is to be used, first install the appropriate blade handle, then place the cutting blade on it.
  • Put the lid on the mixing bowl and lock it in place.
  • Connect the device to a single grounded outlet.
  • Ensure the device is working properly by turning the speed dial to the pulse setting. If the device does not operate, disconnect it from its power source and mount the accessories properly on the motor housing. CAUTION! The device operates only when the mixing bowl is properly mounted on the motor housing. If the mixing bowl is removed from the motor housing, the motor turns off.- 30 -
  • Prepare the desired food products. Wash the fruit and/or vegetables and cut into pieces that fit in the feed chute.
  • Use the speed dial to select the appropriate speed:
  • Pulse (for quick processing) The position marked „O“ is for turning the device off.
  • After selecting a speed, place the fruits and/or vegetables in the feed chute and push down using the pusher. WARNING! Danger of injury! Never use fingers or kitchen utensils to push fruits and vegetables into the processor. Always use the pusher! CAUTION! Never leave the device to operate without food inside, even if it is properly assembled.

ATTENTION! The device can not be operated continuously for longer than 1 minute. After this time the device should be given a 3-minute break. A maximum of 5 cycles in a row can be performed, after which the device should be left to cool to room temperature.

If the device overheats from being used for too long or from being overloaded, the motor will automatically turn itself off and reactivate after cooling (around 15 minutes).- 31 - To avoid overheating the device, adhere to the following guidelines for operating time and quantities of food products for selected implements. Stainless steel knife 30 seconds to 1 minute chocolate ≤ 200 g cheese ≤ 350 g meat spread ≤ 800 g vegetables, spices 100 - 150 g fruit 300 - 500 g onion ≤ 800 g Curved plastic knife 20 to 30 seconds flour and soft cheese ≤ 800 g eggs ≤ 10 pcs. Attention! The follow proportions are for preparing cake: 1:0.6 (100 g/flour to 60 g/ water or other liquid). Optimal mixing time is 30 seconds.

Cutting disc for slicing max. 1 minute Insert the cutting disc for slicing (2 mm or 3 mm) on the knife support with the blade facing up, then attach and lock the mixing cup lid to the blender mixing cup and begin processing the selected products. Add products by placing them into the feed chute and pressing them with the pusher. Avoid using excessive force. For soft products select level „1“, while for harder ones select level „2“.

Cutting disc for grating max. 1 minute Place one of the included cutting discs for grating (depending on the product and desired thickness of the slices) on the blade lock, then secure the lid and begin processing the selected foodstuffs by pushing them through the feed chute using the pusher. ATTENTION! If it is not possible to complete processing the food in the time given, turn the device off (set the speed dial to „O“) and leave the device to cool before further use.

When finished using the device, turn the speed dial to „O“and remove the plug from its socket.- 32 - Using the mixing cup

  • The mixing cup is for mixing, making shakes or preparing puree from food products.
  • Place the motor housing on a stable, level surface.
  • Place the mixing cup on the motor housing and turn clockwise to secure it in place.
  • Prepare the food products for mixing and place them inside the cup. The maximum capacity of the cup is 1600 ml. CAUTION! Do not prepare liquids or dishes at temperatures above 80 °C! The cup can be damaged and cause injury!
  • Place the lid on the mixing cup and secure it by turning.

CAUTION! Before using the device, ensure the mixing cup is closed using the lid.

  • Connect the device to a single grounded outlet.
  • Use the speed dial to select the desired speed:
  • Pulse (turn the speed dial left) is used when food is to be processed for a short time only.
  • The position marked „O“ is for disconnecting the device.
  • The device can operate continuously for 1 minute, and it processes the ingredients inside very quickly. Check the consistency of the food after a few seconds, and turn it on again if necessary. CAUTION! After every mixing cycle, leave the device to cool!- 33 -
  • Additional ingredients can be added during mixing through the opening in the lid. Remove the mixing cup, add the desired ingredients and close the lid before turning the device on again.
  • Do not process large amounts of hard or frozen food. For best results, process such ingredients in small portions.
  • Do not overfill the mixing cup; use the markings on the side to determine the amount of ingredients in the cup. Be especially careful when processing hot ingredients and when processing at high speed. The maximum operating capacity is 1600 ml.
  • If the cutting implement gets blocked and the motor begins operating unevenly, disconnect the device immediately by removing the plug from its socket and some of the food from the mixing cup. Begin mixing again. WARNING! Danger of injury! Never place hands or other objects inside the mixing cup when in operation! Do not use any objects to help push food products into the device, as they can get caught in the disc or knife and cause damage to the device and injury to its operator!
  • When the food products have reached the desired consistency, turn the speed dial to „O“ and remove the mixing cup when the motor has stopped working. CAUTION! The device can only be operated when the mixing cup is properly secured to the motor housing. When it is removed, the motor turns off.
  • When finished using the device, turn the speed dial to „O“ and remove the plug from its socket.- 34 -

6. Cleaning and maintenance

o Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been disconnected from power supply and has cooled down. o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device. o To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables and the plug in water or other liquids. CAUTION! The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!

o Always clean the device after use. o Disassemble the accessories and other parts used. o Be very careful when disassembling and cleaning discs and knives as they are very sharp. Danger of injury! o For easier cleaning of the bowl with knife, remove it from the base by turning it counterclockwise. o Clean individual elements in warm water with a mild cleaning agent, using a soft cloth, sponge or brush for washing up. Next, rinse in clean water and leave to dry or dry thoroughly with a cloth. Later, reassemble any accessories as desired. o All of the device's removable parts are dishwasher-safe. CAUTION! Never immerse the motor housing in water or other liquids, nor place under running water or in the dishwasher. o Wipe the motor housing and power cable with a soft, moist cloth. Ensure that water does not get inside the cable or motor housing. Dry the device thoroughly. o Use only soft cloths for cleaning, never use any aggressive cleaning substances that could damage the device and its accessories. o After cleaning, wipe and polish the surface with a dry cloth.- 35 -

6.3 Safety instructions for maintenance

o Inspect the power cable regularly for damage. Never use the device if the cable is damaged. If the power cable is damaged, have an authorised service center or qualified electrician replace it. o In case of damage or malfunction, please contact your stockist or our customer service centre. Pay attention to the troubleshooting tips in pt. 7. o Only a qualified technician and using original spare parts and accessories should carry out repairs and maintenance of the device. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.

  • Plug improperly connected.
  • Power failure or blown safety fuse.
  • Improperly installed accessories.
  • Connect the plug to its socket properly.
  • Check the power source, change the fuse.
  • Check that all accessories are installed properly. The device suddenly stops working.
  • Overheating safety feature triggered.
  • Mount the mixing bowl again.
  • Leave the device to cool (approx. 15 minutes), then begin operating again. If you are unable to solve the problem following the instructions above:
  • disconnect the device's plug from its socket,
  • do not open the device's housing,

Discarding old devices At the end of its service life the discarded device has to be disposed in accordance with the national regulations. It is advisable to contact a company which is specialized in waste disposal, or just contact the local disposal service in your community. WARNING! To exclude any abuse and the dangers involved make the waste device unfit for use before disposal. For that purpose disconnect device from mains supply and remove mains connection cable from the device. NOTE!

For the disposal of the device please consider and act according to the national and local rules and regulations.
