REFERENCE This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or with a lack of experience and knowledge if they are adequately supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and are aware of the related dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are under supervision. Warnings Keep handy the guarantee, receipt of payment and these instructions for future use and reference. After removing the packaging, check the appliance for any signs of damage. In case of visible damage, do not use it and contact a qualied technician. Keep all parts of the packaging out of the reach of children.This appliance is not a children’s toy: it is an electrical device and must be treated with the necessary caution. Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the power supply voltage matches the indication on the data plate. If the plug and socket are not compatible, replace the socket with a suitable type, applying to skilled people. Do not use adapters or extension cables which do not meet current safety standards or that exceed the current carrying capacity limits. When you don’t use the appliance disconnect it from the power supply. Disconnect the appliance before going to bed. Do not tug on the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket. GB7 In the event of a breakdown, operating anomaly, tripped fuse or tripped protective thermal fuse, unplug the appliance immediately and contact an authorized service centre; do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. If the power cable gets damaged, it has to be replaced only in a service centre approved by the manufacturer. The appliance has been designed and manufactured to operate as a heating pad. Any other use is considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. Use the equipment only with the type of control device indicated on the equipment itself. Prolonged application at high temperature may burn the skin. Do not place the control unit near sources of heat. Do not cover the control unit or place it on top of the appliance while it is in use. Do not use the appliance out of doors. Do not use if damp or wet. Do not allow children to play with the equipment. Children under the age of 3 must not use this equipment due to their inability to react to overheating. The equipment must not be used by children, unless a parent or a su- pervisor has pre-set the control devices or the child has been adequately trained on safe use of the control unit. Prolonged application with the equipment adjusted on high may cause burns on the skin. Do not use on invalids, infants or people sensitive to heat or very vulne- rable people unable to react to overheating. Use the equipment only with the type of control device indicated on the equipment itself. The equipment must not be used by children, unless a parent or a supervisor has pre-set the control devices or the child has been adequately trained on safe use of the control unit.This appliance is not meant for hospital use. This product has been manufactured in conformity to current 2006/95/ EC and 2004/108/EC Technical data indicated on the appliance. Connect the power cord plug to the heating pad and then plug the heating pad into the mains socket. Turn on the heating pad by pressing the ON-OFF key and keeping it pressed for a few seconds. The device will turn on automatically in position 3 with a 45-minute operation setting. To change the heating position, press the TEMP key repeatedly until you reach the desired level, which can be set from 1 to 6. To change the operating time from 45 to 90 minutes, press the TIMER key. When using the heating pad for the rst time, it is recommended to let it work for 10 minutes on position 6 as preheating and, in case of long Instructions for use
utilisation periods, to set it on 1 in order to avoid any overheating. If symbol P appears on the display, check for proper cable connection of both the panel and the mains socket, while if the symbol E appears, it means that the heating pad is broken. Maintenance The pad does not require special maintenance. Just check it, the ex and the control regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any such signs or if the appliance has been misused, take it to a service centre for an inspection before using it again. NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE AND THE CONTROL UNIT IN WATER. Store the appliance in its original packaging in a clean, dry location when not in use. Do not place heavy items on top of it. Allow the appliance to cool completely before folding it for storage. Do not place items on top of the appliance while in storage to prevent it from becoming creased or misshapen. For the cleaning of the panel and covers, follow the instructions below which are also provided on the appliance. Heating pane. If the heating panel accidentally gets wet, do not operate it until it has dried completely.
