Intended use
This barbecue is intended exclusively for the preparation of grilled foods. It is suitable only for use outdoors. This barbecue is intended for use only in domestic environments, not for commercial applications.

In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling of the appliance.
This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations. Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.
Basic Safety Instructions
WARNING
Warnings about burns!
- During use, place the barbecue on a safe, level and firm surface, otherwise it could tip over.
- CAUTION! For igniting and reigning, do not use spiritus or petrol! Use only ignition aids complying with EN 1860-3. The defl agration could cause an uncontrollable development of heat.
- ATTENTION! During use the barbecue will become very hot and therefore may not be moved, otherwise it could tip over.
- ATTENTION! Keep children and pets well away from it!
- Wear appropriate barbecue gloves when grilling and use grill tongs.
- NEVER leave a hot barbecue unattended.
- Let the barbecue cool completely before cleaning it.
- NEVER use water to extinguish the charcoal.
WARNING
Warning in regard to suffocation!
▶ Use the barbecue ONLY outdoors!
Do not operate the barbecue in indoor rooms or roofed-over areas.
Package contents and transport inspection
The appliance is delivered with the following components as standard:

This operating manual
Take the appliance and the operating manual from the box and remove all packing material.
NOTICE
Check the delivery for completeness and for any signs of visible damage.
If the delivery is not complete or is damaged due to defective packaging or through transportation contact the Service Hotline (see chapter Service).

Appliance components
1 Stand
2 Firebowl (including 2 x end panels)
3 Foldable grill rack (including 2× handles and 2× reinforcement bars)
Assembly
Step 1
Press the two locking knobs A on the outside of the stand 1 and fold it apart.
Step 2
Swing the two side elements B of the stand 1 to the outside and secure them with the retaining clamps C.
Step 3
Fold the fi rebowl 2 apart and insert the two end panels D from the top into the fi rebowl 2.

Step 4
Place the fi rebow 2 in the stand 1 insure that the two arresting plates E fi t into the recesses on the stand 1.
Step 5
Fold the grill rack ③ apart and, from below, slide the two reinforcement bars F through the grill rack ③
Attach the two handles in the grill rack 3.
Step 6
Place the grill rack on the stand 1
Commissioning
NOTICE
Before the first use, the barbecue must be warmed up for at least 30 minutes.
WARNING

CAUTION! For igniting and reigning, do not use spiritus or petrol! Use only ignition aids complying with EN 1860-3. The deflagration could cause an uncontrollable development of heat.
Layer a portion of the charcoal into the fi rebow2.
Place one or two solid firelighters on the existing layer of charcoal and ignite the solid firelighters with a match or lighter.
Allow the fi relighters to burn for 2 to 4 minutes. Then slowly fi ll the fi rebo with charcoal.
After about 20 minutes the charcoal will display a white coating of ash. The optimal burning temperature has now been reached.
Spread the charcoal, using a suitable metal tool, evenly in the fi rebow2
Place the grill rack on it and start grilling.
Cleaning and Care
WARNING
Warnings about burns!
Before cleaning it or putting it into storage, allow the barbecue to cool down completely. NEVER use water to extinguish the glowing charcoal.
Warning in regard to property damage!
- Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents as they may damage the surfaces.
For cleaning the stand, use a dish cloth and water with a commercial detergent.
Clean the grill rack ③ and the fi rebowl ② with household detergent and a sponge.
Storage
Dismantle the barbecue in reverse order.
Store the loose parts (end panels, handles and reinforcing bars) in the firebowl 2.
Store the fi rebow 2 in the lower part and the grill rack 3 in the upper part of the stand 1
Fold the stand together and let the locking knobs engage.
Disposal
Dispose of fl ammable materials carefully and with regard to the environment. Fundamentally, dispose of such remaining waste ONLY into containers made of metal and intended for this purpose or those made of non-fl ammable materials.
Dispose of the barbecue through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly manner.

Appendix
Warranty
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service Department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, but not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.
This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorised service branch.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.
Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.
