How to clean the metallic grease filter?
Remove the filter cassette, soak it for 1 hour in hot water with a mild detergent, rinse and dry. You can also wash it in the dishwasher at a minimum of 65°C. Make sure the washing arm is not obstructed.
How to replace the activated charcoal filter?
The charcoal filter is optional. To replace it, unclip the support frame, insert the new activated charcoal pad and reassemble. For cleaning, wash the filter in the dishwasher then place it in the oven at 100°C for 10 minutes to reactivate the charcoal.
How to activate the charcoal filter saturation indicator?
Make sure the hood is in standby (short press on the On/Off button). Press buttons 4 and 5 (models DD 8861-8891) simultaneously for 3 seconds. The C indicator will flash to confirm activation. Repeat the operation to deactivate.
How to reset the saturation indicator after cleaning?
After cleaning the grease filter or replacing the charcoal filter, press the On/Off button (1) for about 3 seconds until the F or C indicator stops flashing.
What is the minimum distance between the hood and the cooking hob?
For an electric cooker, 500 mm. For a gas cooker, 650 mm. Maintain a greater distance if the cooking appliance instructions require it.
How to use the timer?
Select an extraction speed, then press the Timer button (6). The hood will automatically switch off after 20 minutes on speed 1, 15 minutes on speed 2, 10 minutes on speed 3, and 5 minutes on intensive speed. The remaining time is displayed.
What to do if the display shows '88'?
'88' indicates a sensor fault (automatic models). You can continue to use the hood in manual mode. Contact after-sales service for repair.
How to install the hood in recirculation mode?
Mount the deflector on the support structure, connect the deflector's extraction duct to the hood outlet (B). Install an activated charcoal filter (optional). Orient the chimney so that the openings are facing upwards.
Can I use the hood without a charcoal filter?
Yes, if you use the hood in external extraction mode. The charcoal filter is only necessary in recirculation mode (without external extraction). The hood is supplied without a charcoal filter.
How to replace the lighting bulb?
Unplug the hood. Unscrew the bulb cover with a screwdriver. Replace with an identical bulb. Screw the cover back on. If the bulb does not light, check that it is properly seated before calling after-sales service.
