INTRODUCTION

The DESQ entry alarm and glass vibration alarm 2022 provides protection of unwanted intruders in your (home) office. It can provide valuable protection if used properly. However, this unit cannot guarantee complete protection against burglary or robbery. Therefore, DESQ International will not be held responsible for any loss or damage which could occur. In order to use this product correctly, read these instructions carefully. Please keep instructions for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS

1) Read all installation and operating instructions.
2) Avoid dropping or rough handling.
3) The alarm siren is very loud, never put the unit close to your ear. To test the alarm, direct the unit away from you at arms length and activate.

SELECTING THE MOUNTING LOCATION

Important: before mounting and testing this unit, be sure to read the "important safety tips" section at the beginning of this manual.

ENTRY ALARM

1) To apply the alarm system on the door frame, remove the film covering the warning sign in front of the sensor. The film is covering and adhesive, which when pressed to a surface will adhere.
2) Attach the magnetic sensor to the door frame so that it will be no more than 6 mm from the magnet. Both the alarm system and the magnet must have the magnetic sensor mounted on the left side of the alarm unit. Be sure the arrow of the magnet lines up with the arrow on the alarm system.

GLASS VIBRATION ALARM

1) To apply the alarm system on any glass surface, remove the film covering the warning sign in front of the sensor. The film is covering and adhesive, which when pressed to a glass surface will adhere to the glass.
2) To remove the alarm system (if needed) use a blow dryer and warm the sticky backing attached to the glass working the heat around the unit. While still warming the adhesive twist the unit until it disengages from the glass. The unit should be reusable unless the unit has been removed multiple times and adhesive has lost its cohesion.

OPERATION

The DESQ entry alarm and glass vibration alarm 2022 provides a powerful sirene (65 or 90 db). A slide switch is located on the side of the unit to select the right position.

ALARM MODE

1) To arm the unit, slide the switch to the "65" or "90" db position. The unit will automatically arm itself.
2) When the opening of a protected door or excess force is applied to a window is detected, the siren will sound for 60 seconds.
3) To disarm the unit, slide the switch to OFF position.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

The LED indicator light located on the front of the unit will light up when the battery becomes low. It will stay on until the battery is replaced.
