How to install the Desq 2021 alarm system?

Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the back of the main unit. Stick it on the door or window frame. Attach the magnetic sensor on the opposite frame, with a maximum gap of 6 mm between them. Make sure the arrows on the sensor and the unit are aligned.

How to activate the alarm?

Slide the switch to the 60 or 95 dB position. The system activates automatically and goes into standby.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: This alarm is extremely loud. For your safety, never place the unit close to your ears. To test the alarm, direct the unit away from you at arms length and activate.

INTRODUCTION

The DESQ entry alarm 2021 provides protection of unwanted intruders in your (home) office by detecting the opening of a door or window. It can provide valuable protection if used properly. However, this unit cannot guarantee complete protection against burglary or robbery. Therefore, DESQ International will not be held responsible for any loss or damage which could occur. In order to use this product correctly, read these instructions carefully. Please keep instructions for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIPS

3) The alarm siren is very loud, never put the unit close to your ear. To test the alarm, direct the unit away from you at arms length and activate.

SELECTING THE MOUNTING LOCATION

Important: before mounting and testing this unit, be sure to read the "important safety tips" section at the beginning of this manual.

1) To apply the alarm system on the door frame, remove the film covering the warning sign in front of the sensor. The film is covering and adhesive, which when pressed to a surface will adhere.
2) Attach the magnetic sensor to the door frame so that it will be no more than 6mm from the magnet. Both the alarm system and the magnet must have the magnetic sensor mounted on the left side of the alarm unit. Be sure the arrow of the magnet lines up with the arrow on the alarm system.

OPERATION

The DESQ entry alarm 2021 provides a powerful sirene (65 or 90 db). A slide switch is located on the side of the unit to select the right position.

ALARM MODE

1) To arm the unit, slide the switch to the "65" or "90" db position. The unit will automatically arm itself.
2) When the opening of a protected door or window is detected, the siren will sound continuously.
3) To disarm the unit, slide the switch to OFF position

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

The LED indicator light located on the front of the unit will light up when the battery becomes low. It will stay on until the battery is replaced.
