Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and always follow the safety and operating instructions.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance. Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or appliance shows any signs of damage. Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician.
- Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the waq indicated in these instructions.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Before cleaning, alwaqs unplug the appliance from the power supplq.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a drq environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended bq the producer. Theq could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance ba pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in anq waq. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it. Use the cord storage at the back of the appliance.
Stand the appliance on a flat surface to prevent it from falling.
□ Only use the appliance for deep-fraging. Only cook friable and consumable foodstuff.
Housing, inner bowls, lids, baskets and handles can be washed bq hand. Never immerse the appliance or its control panels in water or anq other liquid for cleaning or for anq reason whatsoever (see "Cleaning" section).
Wait until the appliance is completely cool before moving, cleaning or storing it. Always take the appliance bq the carrying handles. Always unplug the appliance before handling it.
Never operate the appliance without oil or fat in it. Ensure that the oil or fat level is always between the minimum and maximum marks inside the bowl. Never overfill as hot oil or fat might be ejected.
It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.
Make sure the cord never comes in contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Be aware never to touch these hot parts.
Make sure the hot parts of the appliance are not exposed to inflammable materials, such as curtains, tablecloth... as a fire might occur.
Never cover the appliance with any kind of material.
Never add water to the oil.

CAUTION: the deep frager can reach high temperatures when in use. Oil and fat preparations might catch fire if overheated. Be extremelq cautious never to leave qour deep frager in use for long periods. Do not forget to switch off the appliance once qour
preparation is readq and the frqr is no longer in use. Before pulling the mains plug, switch the temperature selector to the lowest position ("Min").
Provide proper ventilation when using the appliance.
If you wish to use solid fat, cut it into small pieces and place them into the bowl. Turn the temperature knob to its minimum position. Each time the pilot light goes out, turn the temperature knob to a slightly higher temperature until all the fat has melted. Once all the fat has melted, set the temperature knob to the desired cooking temperature. This type of fat will solidify when the appliance cools down.
Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of separate remote control system.
Competent qualified electrician: after-sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In case of need you should return the appliance to this electrician.
BEFORE USE
- Remove all packaging from the unit.
- Remove the lid, basket, handle and ang accessory from the appliance.
Before you use the deep fat frqr for the first time, we recommend that you clean the lid, bowl, basket, handle and housing of the deep fat frqr with warm soapq water with a soft cloth.
DISASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER
- Remove the control panel from the appliance. To do this, gently pull the control panel upwards until it is released.
Take the interior bowl with qour two hands and pull it up gently.
ASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER
- Stand the appliance on a drag horizontal surface.
- Place the bowl back in the housing and push it downwards.
- Replace the control panel and the accessories. To replace the control panel, firmlq slide the control panel downward into the location grooves on the back of the housing until it is locked.
NOTE: The appliance will only operate when the control panel is correctly fitted to the outer jacket. - Press the end of the basket's handle together, insert its pins into the holes foreseen on the basket and unfold the handle of the basket until it is locked to allow rising the basket easila.
Put the remaining power cord length in the cord storage in the back of the appliance.
FIRSTUSE
- When using the appliance for the first time, pour the required amount of oil in the bowl, making sure that the level is between the MIN and MAX marks indicated inside the bowl.
We recommend that you use a liquid oil that is suitable for deep fat frging. Check the label on the bottle. If you wish to use a solid fat, cut the fat in small pieces. Plug in the appliance, put the tqErmostet on tqE mznum positzon and add the pieces of fat slowlq. When the fat has melted, set the thermostat to the desired temperature. WARNING: FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS WILL DAMAGE YOUR DEEP FAT FRYER.
PREHEATING
When the appliance has been switched on, set the thermostat on the desired temperature. To reach a stable and correct temperature for use, it is necessary to wait 10 to 15 minutes. During this time, the temperature control light will go on and off several times. A good preheating will allow you to have browned and crisp fries.
USE
Plug in the appliance and set the thermostat to the desired temperature. The power light and the pilot light will illuminate. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, the pilot light will go out. When the temperature falls, the thermostat will be activated again, and the pilot light will illuminate. It will go out again as soon as the temperature is reached.
It is forbidden to place the lid on the deep fat frager when it is in use. Only put the lid on the appliance when the appliance has cooled down to avoid dust getting into the oil.
- When the frqer has reached the desired temperature, raise the basket using the handle and attach it to the edge of the frqer.
- Place the food into the basket slowly to avoid splashes and lower the basket full into the oil or fat.
- When the food is readq, raise the basket baq lifting the handle and attach it to the edge of the frager in order to let the food drain.
If necessary you can take the basket out of the appliance.
Ensure the food is thoroughly cooked inside and out.
- Your deep fat frager does not have a separate ON/OFF switch. After use, turn the thermostat to its "Min" position and unplug the appliance. Never move the appliance as long as the oil or fat is still hot.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Alwaqs drq food well before frqing. Verq wet'food can cause the oil to foam' and mag overflow.
Food for frging should be roughlq of the same size to ensure the food cooks evenlq and thoroughlq.
- Manq tapes of food maq need to be coated before frging - topical coatings are batter or breadcrumbs.
- Always wait until the frqer has reached the desired temperature and the pilot light has gone out, before adding the food.
- Do not overfill the basket.
CAUTION: This frager has a built-in safetq cut-off switch that triggers if the unit accidents overheats (e.g. temperature control fails to function). Should this happen, first switch off and unplug the deep fat frager. Wait until the element cools down (about 15 minutes). Then press the restart button situated in the back of the control panel, above the cord storage, using a toothpick. This will reset the deep fat frager. Your deep fat frager is now ready to use. To make sure this does not happen again, please read the instruction manual thoroughly.
RECIPES
FrEsq CqZps
- Fresh chips are best fried in two stages.
Use 'old' potatoes (no 'new' potatoes). Cut the potatoes into equal sizes. Rinse the chipped potatoes under running water to reduce the starch level. Dra thoroughla and separate the pieces. - Do not exceed the recommended weight. When the temperature has reached 180^ , place the chips in the basket and slowly lower the basket into the oil.
For 500g of chips, frq for 6 minutes on 180^ then raise the basket. - Wait until the temperature light goes out again, lower the basket and frq for a further 2 minutes.
- Raise the basket and let the chips drain.
- For best results, before serving gently dab the chips with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
- Fraging times maq varq slight on the tape of potatoes used and the thickness of the chips.
Onzon Rings
- Fringing temperature - 175^ for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Peel the onions and slice. Separate the slices into rings.
- Dip the rings into a bowl of seasoned milk.
- Then dust the rings in plain flour.
- Place the rings separately in the frging basket and frq a few at a time.
BrEeAEA Musgrooms
- Frqing temperature - 175^ for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Beat 1 egg and dip the mushrooms into the egg.
- Then coat the mushrooms with breadcrumbs.
- Place separately into the fraying basket and frq a few at a time.
Gou'sons of SOE
- Frqing temperature - 160^ for 3-4 minutes.
Cut the sole fillet into small strips. Coat the strips in some seasoned plain flour. - Then dip the strips into beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
Place separately into the frging basket and frq a few at a time.

CLEANING

Unplug the deep fat frger. - Wait until the unit is completely cool before cleaning. Be careful when touching the heating element as it might staq hot for quite some time after you have unplugged the appliance. NEVER IMMERSE THE CONTROL PANEL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
- Follow the section 'Disassembling the deep fat frager'.
- Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cloths/liquid, as this will damage the deep fat frager.
Clean the frqer with warm soapq water. It mag help to soak the parts for a short time.
Thoroughlg dq all parts of the appliance. - Change the oil regularlq.
To assemble, follow the section 'Assembling the deep fat frqer'.
STORING
- Wait until the deep fat frqer is completely cool before storing.
The unit can be stored with the oil inside. Ensure the lid is tightly closed to avoid dust getting into the oil.
