  • Please read this handbook as it gives important instructions and precautions about safety, use and maintenance of your appliance and keep it carefully for future reference.

  • Make sure the appliance is in good condition when you unpack it. In fact, doubt do not use it and contact a TERMOZETA authorized Service Centre.

  • Do not leave parts of packaging (plastic bags, foam polystyrene, nails, etc.) within reach of children or incapable persons as they are potential sources of danger.

  • Make sure the data on the appliance rating plate corresponds to that of the main power supply and of your electrical system before plugging into the outlet. In case of doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.
  • It is not advisable to use adapters, multiple plugs and extensions. Use devices certified and conforming to existing safety standards only should it be absolutely necessary, making sure they are compatible with your electrical system and with the appliance technical data.
  • Any installations not conforming to instructions may endanger your safety and forfeit the guarantee.
  • The appliance is exclusively to be used for preparing food for domestic use.
  • For safety's sake be careful:

  • not to use the appliance with bare feet or wet hands or feet

  • not to use the appliance away from home
  • not to leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain ...)
  • never to tug on the lead or the appliance itself to unplug from the outlet
  • not to leave the appliance plugged into the main power supply unattended
  • never to submerge the appliance in water or in other liquids.

  • The appliance is not intended for being used by people (including children) whose physical, sensorial or mental capacities are reduced, or who are lacking in experience or knowledge, unless they can benefit from the presence of someone who is responsible for their safety and who is provided with the instructions for use.
    Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • The user must not replace the appliance lead. Contact a TERMOZETA authorized Service Centre or professionally qualified person in case of need.
  • Switch off and do not mishandle the appliance if it should break down and/or work badly. Contact a TERMOZETA authorized Service Centre for eventual repairs asking for original spare parts.
  • Put the appliance out of service at the end of its service life by cutting off the lead after unplugging from the outlet. Abide by local existing rules and regulations for its disposal.
  • Termozeta may not be held liable for eventual damages to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or deriving from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

ON FIRST USE

Before using the appliance, wash all the parts which come into contact with food - bowl (4), lid (1) and blade unit (3) - with tepid water and dishwashing detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

WARNING!

Do not wash the parts which come into contact with food in dishwasher. Carefully handle the blade unit (3) because the blades are very sharp.

  • Completely unwind the feeding cable (7), rest the appliance on a horizontal, stable surface away from heat sources. Be careful not to allow the feeding cable to come into contact with hot surfaces and to hang from the resting surface.
  • Make sure the plug is disconnected from the power outlet.
  • Fit the bowl (4) in the seat (11) of the appliance body as shown in figure 1 and 2:

  • match the bowl teeth (10) with the hallows (12) of the appliance body.

  • turn the bowl clockwise until it is fixed.

WARNING!

Make sure the bowl is correctly positioned before starting the appliance.

  • Insert the blade unit (3) in the bowl (4).
  • Put the food to be chopped in the bowl (refer to the food guide table for the maximum quantities).
  • Fit the lid (1) and make sure that the blade support (8) enters the hole (9); pay special attention to the tongue (2), which must be

positioned as shown in figure 3.

  • Afterwards turn the lid clockwise fixed.
  • Connect the plug to the power outlet.
  • Make the appliance run by keeping the push button (5) pressed: when the push button is released, the appliance stops automatically.

IMPORTANT

If the lid is not positioned correctly, the appliance does not work.

WARNING!

  • Never insert in the bowl (4) food quantities which are higher than the ones shown in the table "Food guide" and, anyway, which exceed the maximum volume of 0.2 l.
  • Never pour liquid substances into the bowl.
  • Do not use the appliance for more than 1 minute uninterrupted: make a 1-minute break between one operation and the following one.
  • Never run the appliance when it is empty.
  • Do not try to run the appliance if the lid (1) has not been mounted.
  • Ingredients of big dimensions (fruit, vegetable...) must be cut in cubes of about 2 × 2 cm before putting them in the bowl.
  • Do not chop too hard food (e.g. ice, shells, frozen food...) since the appliance may be damaged.
  • At the beginning of each operation, start the appliance with the pulse mode (by pressing and releasing the ON push button more times in succession) and complete the operation by pressing the ON/OFF push button (continuous operation).
  • Always disconnect the plug from the power outlet when the appliance is unattended and before assembling, disassembling or washing it.
  • Never touch the moving parts, especially the blades.
  • Always remove the lid (1) only after the blades have stopped moving.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!

Before carrying out any cleaning operation, always disconnect the plug from the power outlet.

  • Wash the appliance body (6) with a soft slightly damp cloth. Do not wash it under running water and do not immerse it in water or other liquid substances.
  • Wash the bowl (4), the lid (1) and the blade unit (3) with tepid water and a dishwashing detergent, paving special attention to the blades, since they are very sharp.
  • Never put any parts of the appliance in the dishwasher.
  • For cleaning, never use abrasive or chemical products, since the accessories come into contact with food.

SUGGESTIONS

The appliance cleaning will be easier if it is carried out immediately after use.

  • The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
  • Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
  • The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
  • Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws in force.
