- This appliance is only suitable for private household use and it is not designed for commercial purpose.
- Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
- Warning! During cleaning or operation do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
- This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Danger of burns! Do not use the appliance during the cooking process, with boiling liquids or hot fat.
- Regularly check the power plug and power cord for damage. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a danger or injury.
- Danger of injury! Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
- Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.
- Do not continuously operate the appliance for too long to avoid overheating the motor. The continuous operation time must not exceed 60 seconds low speed and 30 seconds using the turbo function.

Let the appliance cool down if the appliance housing becomes too hot. Only operate the appliance again, after it has cooled.
- Never add ingredients to the container while the appliance is operating.
- Never let the blade face towards anybody while operating the appliance.
- Do not touch the blade, blade guard and moving parts. Keep fingers, hair, clothing and utensils away from all moving parts.

During operation, keep hands and utensils out of the container to reduce the risk of severe personal injury and/or damage to the blender. Only use a scraper when the appliance is not running.

Observe all safety instructions to avoid damage through improper use!
- Keep this instruction manual for future use. Should this appliance be passed on to a third party, then this instruction manual must be included.
- Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
- Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet and contact your retailer if it is damaged.
- To avoid damaging the cord, do not squeeze, bend or chafe it on sharp edges. Keep it away from hot surfaces and open flames as well. Do not let rotating blades touch the power cord.
- Lay out the cord in such a way that no unintentional pulling or tripping over it is possible.
- If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the power consumed by the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not open the appliance casing under any circumstances. Do not insert any foreign objects into the inside of the casing.
- Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Always operate the appliance on a level, stable, clean and dry surface. Protect the appliance against heat, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open flames, e.g. candles, on top of or beside the appliance. Do not place objects filled with water, e.g. vases, on or near the appliance.
- Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord and do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
- Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- If the power cord should overheat, stop using the appliance and disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet.
- Do not place the appliance on hot plates (gas, electric, coal cooking range, etc.). Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces and open flames. Always operate the appliance on a level, stable, clean, heat-resistant and dry surface.
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- Dry the appliance and all accessories before connecting to the power supply and prior to attaching the accessories.
INTENDED USE
The appliance is exclusively intended to mix and blend foodstuff. This appliance is only suitable for private household use and it is not designed for commercial purpose. Every other type of use can lead to damage to the appliance or injury.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Check for completeness and transport damage. In case of damages or incomplete delivery please contact your dealer.
- Clean the appliance (→ Cleaning and care).
OPERATION
Suitable for: Blending juices and shakes, mixing soft ingredients, pureeing cooked ingredients.
1 Mount the hand blender on the motor unit.
To do so, align the blender's icon with the motor unit's icon. Rotate the blender until it clicks in place. and icons are now aligned.
2 Connect the plug to a suitable outlet.
3 Dip the blender bar as deeply as possible into the ingredients. Work through the ingredients by moving the appliance gently up and down.
Hold the blender vertically. Tilting it might lead to splashing foodstuff.
4 Set the desired speed selection. Press and hold I button. Turbo can be achieved by pressing and holding the II button.
ATTENTION!
• Always ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before it is fully and correctly assembled!
- Danger of hand injury! Handle the blade with care as it is very sharp!
- Never use your hands to reach into the food container. Always use wooden or plastic spatulas, and only when the hand blender is not running.
- Do not use this appliance for processing ice, hot liquids, heavy batter/dough, or hard foods.
- Place the food container on a stable and flat surface. Hold the container with one hand and the product with the other one.
• Pre-cut the food into small and even pieces.
- NOTE: When pureeing food, make sure to use enough liquid (juice, milk, etc.) to obtain a smooth mixture. Adjust the consistency of the mixture by adding more liquid or soft solids.

CLEANING AND CARE

WARNING!
Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect the plug from power.

Cleaning the motor unit: Use a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Make sure that no moisture is entering the appliance during cleaning. Never immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids.

Cleaning the hand blender attachment: Wash the blending bar under running water. Then dry thoroughly.

Make sure that no liquid enters the hollow shaft.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp implements to clean your appliance.
• Dry the appliance thoroughly after cleaning.
• Store the appliance in a cool, dry location, away from children and pets.
