IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical products, especially when children are present, the basic safety precautions should always be followed.

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.

DANGER:

To reduce the risk of electrocution:

• Do not handle the plug with wet hands.
• Do not immerse charger in water or other liquid.
• Do not handle charger base while bathing.
• Do not place or store the charger where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• Do not reach for a charger that has fallen into any liquid. Unplug immediately.
• Check the charger cord for damage before the first use and during the life of the product.

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, serious

injury or damage to tissue:

• Do not plug this device into a voltage system that is different from the voltage system specified on the device or charger.
• Do not use this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has dropped into any liquid. Contact Waterpik International, Inc. or your local distributor which can be found at www.waterpik.com/intl.
• Use this product only as indicated in these instructions or as recommended by your dental professional.
• Use only those attachments, including toothbrushes and interdental brushes, which are recommended by Water Pik, Inc.
• Keep charging unit and cord away from heated surfaces.
• Do not operate or use where oxygen or aerosol sprays are being used.
  If your physician or cardiologist has advised you to receive antibiotic premedication before dental procedures, you should consult with your dentist before using this instrument or any other oral hygiene aid.

• For household use only. Do not use outdoors.

• Closely instruct and supervise children and individuals with special needs in the proper use of this product.

• Be sure only the bristles of the toothbrush touch your teeth and gums when using the device.
• To ensure that your charger base does not accidentally fall and submerge in water, mount it on the wall.
• Pacemaker wearers and persons with medical implants containing magnets or electronics: contact your physician before using this product.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Your Sensonic® Professional Toothbrush can be easily mounted to the wall using the enclosed items.

Charging the Sensonic Professional Toothbrush Charge for 16 hours before first use.

The charge indicator on the handle will flash when charging and will stay on continuously when the unit is fully charged. A full charge will last for up to 1 week of typical use (2 minutes of brushing twice a day).

Sonic brushing

• Slide the brush head onto the handle. Push brush head down until it locks into place on handle.
• Place the brush head into your mouth before turning the unit on.
• Select low or high brushing speed by pressing power button after unit is on. Press button once for low speed, and twice for high speed.

Low speed - gentle cleaning and gum massage
High speed - superior plaque removal

• For best results, position brush along gum line at a 45-degree angle.
• Use a lighter brushing pressure than when using a manual toothbrush to optimize sonic cleaning effectiveness.

• Move the brush slowly around entire mouth. Many dentists recommend spending 30 seconds in each of the four quadrants of your mouth.

Quad Timer: your Sensonic Professional Toothbrush will create a short stuttering sound every 30 seconds, to remind you to move to the next section of your mouth.

Using the interdental brush

• Slide the interdental brush head onto the handle. Push brush head down until it locks into place.
  Brush may be used with or without toothpaste.
• Place brush tip perpendicular to gum line between two teeth.
• Turn on power handle and lightly follow crevices between teeth.

1. After each use, turn off unit, remove the brush head from the handle and rinse brush head under water.
2. Wipe the handle dry after each use.
3. Periodically, clean the charger base by unplugging the unit and wiping with a damp cloth.

Service

There is no required routine service maintenance and this product cannot be repaired.

Battery Disposal

The unit contains a Nickel Metal Hydride battery. At the end of the battery life, please recycle the unit at your nearest recycle center per local or state requirements. The battery is not replaceable. Batteries are permanently installed for performance reasons and are not removable for service or replacement. Batteries may be removed for recycling by dismantling the unit.

Important Precautions

Using Arm & Hammer® PeroxiCare® toothpaste, abrasive or chemical cleaners may damage the plastic housing of this product. Use of these products voids this product warranty.

Water Pik, Inc. warrants to the original consumer of this new product that it is free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase. Consumer will be required to submit the original purchase receipt as proof of purchase date and if requested, the entire product, to support a warranty claim. Water Pik, Inc. will replace at its discretion any part of the product, which in its opinion is defective, provided the product has not been abused, misused, altered or damaged after purchase, was used according to instructions, and was used only with accessories or consumable parts approved by Water Pik, Inc. Installation is the responsibility of the consumer and is not covered by the warranty. This limited warranty excludes accessories or consumable parts such as brush heads.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary, depending on the law in your place of residence.
