How to install the seat with the protection shield?

Place the seat against the rear seat, lower the headrest as much as possible. Place the child, then position the protection shield on the armrests. Push the shield against the child's chest without pressure. Slide the lap part of the belt in front of the shield and into the guides on each side. Buckle and tighten the belt. Slide the diagonal part into the shield guides. Make sure the belt is tight and not twisted.

How to install the seat without the shield (groups 2-3)?

Raise the headrest as much as possible. Place the seat against the rear seat. Pass the diagonal belt through the belt guide of the headrest. Seat the child, with their back flat against the backrest. Buckle the belt. Pass the diagonal strand under the armrest opposite the guide, and the lap strand under both armrests. Lower the headrest to adjust to the child's height. Tighten the belt.

How to adjust the headrest?

The headrest is height adjustable. To adjust, raise it as much as possible for installation, then lower it so that it wraps the child's head while guiding the diagonal belt over the shoulder without going over the neck.

How to clean the seat cover?

The cover is removable. For light stains, clean with a damp sponge and soapy water. For a more thorough wash, hand wash at 30°C in soapy water. Do not bleach, do not iron, do not machine wash, do not tumble dry.

Until what age can I use this seat?

This seat is designed for children from 9 months to approximately 12 years, depending on weight. It covers groups 1 (9-18 kg with shield) and 2-3 (15-36 kg without shield). Use it according to the group corresponding to your child.

What to do if the diagonal belt is too close to my child's neck?

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: Please read these instructions carefully before using the seat and keep this guide in a safe place for future reference. If you do not comply with these instructions, the safety of your child could be compromised. Only install your group 1-2-3 booster seat on a forward facing seat that has a 3-point seat belt (1).

• The hard items and the items in plastic of the child restraint system must be located and installed so that when used normally, they do not get trapped under a movable seat or in the vehicle door.

• Make sure the straps to attach the restraint system to the vehicle are kept tight and adjust the straps that hold in the child. The straps must not be twisted.

• Make sure the sub-abdominal straps are run as low as possible, to keep the pelvis in good position.

• Replace the restraint system if it has been subjected to violent shocks in an accident.

• It is dangerous to change or add elements to the restraint system in any way without the authorisation of the competent authority, or not to carefully follow the instructions on installation provided by the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

• Keep the seat out of direct sunlight so that the child does not get burned.

• Do not leave the child unattended in a child restraint system.

• Make sure that luggage and other items that might harm the child in the seat in the event of a shock are correctly stowed away.

• Do not use the child restraint system without the cover.

• Do not replace the seat cover with one that has not been recommended by the manufacturer, because it plays a direct role ensuring that the restraint system works effectively.

• If you have a doubt concerning the installation and correct usage of your seat, please contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

• Install your child restraint system on seats categorised as "Universal" in your car manual.

• Do not use weight-bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and indicated on the restraint system.

Always use the back seat if possible even if the Highway Code stipulates that using the front seat is allowed.

Always ensure that the seat belt has been fastened.

• Do not clothe the child in garments that are too bulky in winter.

Installation with protective shield

Gr. 1, from 9 to 18 kg (roughly between 9 months and 4 years)

Place the car seat against the rear seat of the vehicle (3). Lower the headrest as far as possible. Place your child in the car seat, the retractable armrests should facilitate this.

Fit the protective shield to the armrests (4). Push the protective shield so that it touches the child's chest but without applying pressure (5).

Slide the lap part of the vehicle seat belt in front of the shield through the guides on each side of it (6). Buckle-up the car seat belt. Tighten the belt by pulling on the diagonal part (7).

Slide the diagonal part of the seat belt through the guides on the protective shield (8).

Make sure that the lap and diagonal sections of the vehicle seat belt pass through the guides on the protective shield. Tighten the car seat belt. Make sure the seat belt is correctly tightened and is not twisted.

WARNING: Make sure the armrests are down before each trip. Always attach the car seat using the vehicle seat belt even when the child is not seated in it as it may fly around inside the vehicle in the case of an accident.

Installation without protective shield

Gr. 2-3, from 15 to 36kg (roughly between 3 and 12 years)

Your car seat is fitted with a headrest which can be adjusted to suit your child as they grow and which provides excellent lateral protection. Raise the headrest as far as possible. Place the car seat against the rear seat of the vehicle (9) and pass the diagonal strap of the seat belt through the headrest guide (10) (11). Place your child in the car seat. The retractable armrests should facilitate access to the seat and installation. Make sure that the spine is in full contact with the back of the car seat. Pull the vehicle seat belt and buckle it up. Pass the diagonal strap of the seat belt under the armrest on the opposite side of the belt guide used, the lap strap of the vehicle seat belt passes under both armrests (12). Lower the adjustable headrest and set to the right height for your child (13). It must be positioned in such a way that it surrounds your child's head providing maximum lateral protection, guiding the diagonal strap over the shoulder without slipping on to the neck (14)

(15). Tighten the car seat belt. Make sure that the seat belt is correctly tightened, that it is not twisted, and it is not positioned at the level of your child's neck. To take the child out of the seat unbuckle and release the seat belt to the side of the car seat. The seat belt should remain suspended from the central guide of the

Padded sleeve for diagonal strap (optional depending on model)

Your car seat may come with a padded sleeve which can be placed over the diagonal strap of the seatbelt when used for groups 2 and 3. The padded sleeve prevents your child from coming into direct contact with the vehicle seatbelt. Open the sleeve (17). Place the sleeve around the diagonal strap of the seatbelt and then close using the Velcro strips (18). Position the padded sleeve around the height of your child's shoulder (19).

Storage of the instruction manual

Store this instruction manual, depending on the model of your vehicle, either in the pouch provided, or by slipping it into between the shell and the cover of the seat.

Maintenance advice

All the material parts can be removed. Slight stains can be removed using a damp sponge soaked in soapy water or it can be washed by hand at 30^irc in soapy water. Do not use bleach, do not iron, do not machine wash, and do not tumble dry.

• This car seat is a "Universal" child restraint system. It has been approved in accordance with regulation N°44/04, and is suitable for general use in vehicles and is compatible with the majority (some exceptions) of vehicle seats.
• It is more likely that the seat is perfectly compatible if the vehicle manufacturer states that its vehicles are suitable for taking "Universal" child restraint systems.
• This restraint system is classified as "Universal" in accordance with the strictest approval criteria, whereas earlier models do not correspond to these new provisions.
• It can only be adapted to vehicles with 3-point safety belts that are either fixed or have a roller mechanism and that have been approved compliant with the UN/ECE No 16 or other equivalent standards.
