The instructions include safety guidelines and other information important for the proper functioning of the appliance.

Please read the instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.

If the appliance changes hands, be sure to give the instructions to the new owner. It is in your own interest to follow all safety guidelines.

Warning!

Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• Do not use this appliance near water.
• Never use the appliance with wet hands.
• The appliance must never be submerged in water and must not become wet during cleaning.
• Never place the appliance on a damp surface or on a damp cloth when it is switched on.
• The plug must be removed from the socket after use when the appliance is used in a bathroom. The proximity of water presents a hazard even when appliance is switched off!
• Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than described in this manual.
• Never cover the air inlet or outlet when the appliance is switched on. The appliance is provided with protection

against overheating. It will switch off if the air supply is interfered with (for example if the air inlet or outlet are blocked).

• If the appliance switches off during use, set the switch to 0 and wait around 5 minutes before switching it on again.
• The voltage of the power source must be the same as specified on the appliance.
• Switch the appliance off if the drying process is interrupted.

• The plug must be removed from the socket:

• if a fault occurs during use

• every time it is cleaned

• after use

• Never remove the plug by pulling on the cable.

• Never wind the cable around the appliance.

• The appliance must not be switched on if:

• the cable is damaged

• there is visible damage to the appliance

• the appliance has been dropped

• When the appliance is connected to the power, never leave it unattended.

• Wait until the appliance has cooled down before you store it.
• This appliance can be used by children from the age of 8 up as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lacking experience and/ or knowledge, if these persons are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance

in a safe way and have understood the hazards which could arise from using it. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

• Packaging materials such as plastic bags must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Prevent damage to the hair by not placing the air outlet too close to the hair.
• Fitting an earth leakage circuit breaker provides additional safety: the current in the circuit may exceed 30mA . Consult your electrician.
• The appliance may present a hazard even when it is switched off. The plug must therefore be removed from the

socket after use.

• If the cable is damaged it may be replaced only by an approved service point, for safety reasons.
• A damaged appliance must not be used.
• Only specialists are allowed to do reparations. Improperly reparations can cause considerable danger!
• There is always risk of injury when using electrical appliances improperly!
• To prevent unintentional misuse, keep the appliance stored away in a safe place.

>Operating instructions

Towel dry the hair after washing. Insert the plug in the socket and set the desired temperature and air flow using the switch.

Air flow

With the 2-step air volume sliding switch you can switch the appliance on and select the desired air volume.

= high air flow
= normal air flow
= appliance is switched off

Temperature

With the 3-step temperature sliding switch you can select the power and therefore the temperature.

= full temperature
= medium temperature
low temperature

Cool Shot

Use the Cool Shot button for cool airflow to fix your style.

Ion generator

Your appliance is fitted with an ion generator. Activating this function will give your hair enhanced shine while styling. The ion generator also prevents the build-up of static charge on your hair. To activate this function, push the ion on/off switch upwards. The blue LED, on the side of the appliance, lights up showing that the ion function is activated.

Blower nozzle

The blower nozzle allows you to direct the air flow precisely onto specific areas. It is simply attached to the front of the dryer.

Diffuser

With the use of the diffuser, the hair, particularly hair which is straight and fine, will acquire an optimum volume and set by means of perfect styling down at the roots. The diffuser needs to be used as follows:

The hair should be dried well with a towel.

• Attach the diffuser onto the hairdryer.
• Now place the diffuser directly on the scalp and move it with a quarter turn, so that the hairs lie round the diffuser pins.
• Switch on the appliance, work preferably with the normal air flow.
• Make rotating movements on one spot. In this way volume builds up from the roots of the hair during the drying process.
• As soon as the first section of the hair is dry, continue in the same way with other parts of the hair until all has been treated.

> Cleaning and maintenance

Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains before cleaning. Do not submerge it in water. Protect the appliance against dust. Clean the ventilation grille occasionally to remove dust and hair. The appliance may be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and dried with a soft cloth.

> Environmental and Disposal

The packing material and the unit and accessories are made of materials that can be recycled.

Appropriate separation and disposal of the remaining materials helps recycling.

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU.

To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.

To return your used appliance, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental recycling.

> Guarantee

The guarantee covers this product for a period of 2 years, with the exception of individual parts, beginning on the date of original purchase. Use of the guarantee does not result in extension of the guarantee period. The guarantee covers manufacturing faults and material faults in original parts.

This guarantee does not include normal wear and tear and damage to the product by accident or misuse, abuse, alteration to the product or use inconsistent with the technical and/or safety instructions required.

If your product requires repair, you should contact an authorized service dealer.

Never dispose of your appliance with the regular household waste. Follow the waste disposal regulations for your locality or return your appliance to the retailer. Retain the retailer's receipt as proof of purchase.
