CONSERVATION
- To maintain the best flavour, nourishment, and freshness of foods, it is advisable to store them in the refrigerator compartment as shown in fig. 14 below, making sure to wrap them in aluminium or plastic sheets or in appropriate covered containers to avoid cross-contamination.
Refrigerator zone
Fruit / Vegetables
To decrease fruit and vegetable moisture losses they must be wrapped in plastic materials such as, for example, films or bags and then inserted in the fruit/vegetable zone. In this way rapid deterioration is avoided.
Fridge Zone
Refrigerated section - Chill (not all models)
The zone shown below is recommended for meat, fish, poultry, etc.; do not store fruit and vegetables because they can freeze;
Fig.16
Indicator of the temperature in the coldest zone
(not all models)
Some models are equipped with an indicator of the temperature in the refrigerator compartment in the coldest zone, for you to be able to control the average temperature. This symbol indicates the coldest zone of the refrigerator. (fig17)
Fig.17
Check that on the indicator of the temperature, the word OK is clearly shown. (fig. 18) If the word does not appear, this means that the temperature is too high: adjust the temperature to a cooler setting and wait for about 10 hours. Recheck the indicator: if necessary, proceed with a new adjustment.

NOTE: If large quantities of food are inserted or the refrigerator door frequently opened, it is normal for the indicator fails to show OK. Wait at least 10 h before adjusting the knob to a higher setting.
Freezer zone
The storage of frozen food is for about a month in the compartments.
Use the table below for the compartments.

Freezing process can only occur in the compartments.

Practical recommendations
Place food on the shelves in a homogeneous manner to allow air to circulate properly and to cool it.
- Avoid contact between the food and the far end walls of the refrigerator compartment.
- Do not introduce hot foods as they can cause deterioration of existing ones and increase energy consumption.
- Remove the wrappings of foods before inserting them. Do not put in dishes or other containers unless previously washed. Do not obstruct the cold air ventilator openings with food.
- Do not cover the glass shelf of the vegetable bin to allow for proper air circulation.
- Do not store bottles in the freezer compartment as they can burst when frozen.
- In the case of prolonged power outage, keep the doors closed so that foods remain cold as long as possible.
- The installation of the appliance in a hot and humid location, with frequent door openings and storing large amounts of vegetables can cause the formation of condensation and affect the performance of the unit itself.
- To prevent excessive energy consumption, the frequent or prolonged opening of the doors is not recommended.
FREEZING
Foods must be fresh. - Freeze small amounts of food at a time in order to freeze quickly. Never exceed the maximum amount indicated on the nameplate. - During freezing, do not open the freezer door. Food must be sealed, airtight. - Separate food to be frozen by those already frozen. - Label bags or containers to keep an inventory of frozen foods. - Once defrosted, consume food promptly. Do not ever refreeze foods.
NOTE:
- PRODUCTS WITH SETTING KNOB
Normally it is not necessary to intervene with the thermostat knob. If you find excessive cooling of the products contained in the refrigerator compartment, gently turn the thermostat knob toward 0. (fig. 19)
On completion of freezing, return the knob to the usual position.

Fig.19
- PRODUCTS WITH USER INTERFACE
See Turn ON/OFF Display
For products with a NO FROST freezer compartment, activate the SUPER FREEZING function 8 hours before introducing the foods.
For the other products, activate the SUPER FREEZING function at the time of introduction of the foods.
DEFROSTING
Defrosting the refrigerator compartment
During normal functioning, the refrigerator is automatically defrosted. There is no need to dry the drops of water present on the rear wall or to eliminate the frost (depending on functioning).
The water is conveyed to the rear part through the drain hole found there and the heat of the compressor causes it to evaporate.
- Keep the drainage pipe (fig20) clean in the refrigerator compartment to keep it free of water.
Fig.20
Defrosting the freezer compartment
(static products without NO-FROST technology)
When the layer of frost present in the freezer compartment exceeds 3 mm, it is recommended to proceed with the defrosting as it increases energy consumption.
1 Products with knob:
Rotate the knob to the "0" position (fig.21)

Fig.21
Products with user interface
Please follow the instruction in the chapter of "Turning on/off" to switch off the products.
2) Disconnect the power cord. 3) Remove the frozen food and temporarily place them in a cool place. 4) Leave the freezer door open to speed defrosting. 5) Collect the water on the bottom of the product. 6) Dry the freezer. 7) Reconnect the power cord and set the thermostat knob to the desired position. 8) Wait a moment and reintroduce the frozen foods.
WARNING:
Absolutely avoid the use of open flames or electrical appliances, such as heaters, steam cleaners, candles, oil lamps and the like to accelerate the defrosting phase.
Do not scrape with a knife or sharp object to remove frost or ice present.
These can damage the refrigerant circuit, the leakage of which can cause a fire or damage your eyes.

1.1 DESCRIPTION OF BUTTONS
After the Super Freezing function has ended,
The Super Freezing function preserves food for up to 2 months, keeping it fresh and nutritious. The Super Freezing function is not suitable for freezing food that has already been frozen.
SYNTHESIS
To store fresh food, place it in the refrigerator compartment and the drawers in the lower part. It is recommended to place them in the special compartment. See figure.
REFRIGERATOR
FRUITS / VEGETABLES
To prevent the drying of fruits and vegetables, it is advisable to wrap them in a damp cloth or place them in the special drawers and put them in the appropriate compartment for fruits and vegetables. In this way, you will keep them for a longer period.
Freezer compartment (for freezing) (1) The freezer compartment is suitable for storing frozen food and making ice. Do not put fresh food in it for freezing.
(fig. 16)
Temperature regulation. (for all models)
The temperature is regulated by the thermostat knob. If the knob is set to a higher number, the temperature will be lower. This setting increases the energy consumption. (fig. 17)
(fig. 17)
Make sure that the temperature indicator shows the correct temperature. (fig. 18)
If the indicator does not appear, it means that the temperature is too high.
Set the temperature to a lower level by turning the knob slightly, if necessary.

(2018)
NOTE:
If the appliance is not operating correctly, the safety device may have been activated. The display shows OK. Wait for 10 minutes before trying to reset the safety device again.
Freezing
The appliance is designed to freeze fresh food. Place the food in the freezer compartment.
When freezing, use the appropriate containers. The freezing process can be accelerated by using the fast freeze function.

Practical advice
The food should be placed in the freezer so that it does not come into contact with the air and to avoid the formation of frost. Do not place food in direct contact with the back wall of the freezer. Do not place hot food in the freezer as it may thaw the food already stored and increase energy consumption. Remove the food from its packaging before placing it in the freezer.
Do not place food in the freezer in large quantities before it has been frozen. Do not exceed the freezing capacity of the appliance. Do not place glass containers with liquids in the freezer as they may break. Do not store food in the freezer for longer than the recommended storage time. If you have a frozen product, do not open the door frequently to preserve the food for a longer period. The storage of food in the freezer should be done in small quantities and at low temperatures. Large quantities of vegetables may cause the formation of frost and affect the operation of the freezer. To reduce the formation of frost, do not open the door too often.
FREEZING
The food must be fresh. Place it in the freezer in small quantities to freeze quickly. Do not exceed the freezing capacity of the appliance. The freezing process should be completed before adding more food. Food for freezing should be of good quality. - Separate the food for freezing from the food already frozen. - Write the contents and the date on the packaging. Food that has been thawed should not be refrozen; it should be consumed quickly.
NOTE:
- APPLIANCES WITHOUT DISPLAY:
As a rule, it is not necessary to adjust the temperature. If the appliance is not cooling properly, check the door seal. If the door is not closed properly, the food may thaw. During the freezing process, the temperature may rise slightly.

(1x19)
APPLIANCES WITH DISPLAY
Defrosting the appliance. The appliance is equipped with the NO FROST system, which facilitates defrosting. The SUPER FREEZING function should be activated 8 hours before placing fresh food. For all other products, activate the SUPER FREEZING function when placing them in the freezer.
DEFROSTING
Defrosting the refrigerator compartment
During the operation of the compressor, ice will automatically form on the back wall. It is necessary to periodically remove the ice that forms. The water flows through the drainage channel to the evaporation tray and evaporates automatically. - Keep the water drainage channel (fig. 20) clean at all times. Use the cleaning tool provided to clean the drainage hole.

(2021)
Defrosting the freezer compartment (static models without NO-FROST technology)
When the frost on the walls of the freezer reaches a thickness of 3 mm, it is advisable to perform defrosting to avoid increased energy consumption. 1) Turn the thermostat knob to the "0" position. (fig. 21)

(2)
2) Unplug the appliance from the power supply. 3) Remove the frozen food and wrap it in a thick cloth or paper. 4) Leave the freezer door open to allow the frost to melt. 5) Place a container of warm water in the freezer compartment. 6) Do not use sharp objects to remove the frost. 7) After defrosting, clean the freezer interior and dry it thoroughly. Plug the appliance back in and set the thermostat to the desired temperature. 8) Wait a while before placing the food back inside.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to accelerate the defrosting process with the help of any mechanical devices, electrical appliances such as heaters, or other means, cleaning agents, sharp objects, or other similar items.
Do not attempt to remove ice with sharp objects as this may damage the appliance.
These items can damage the refrigerant circuit, causing leaks of the refrigerant and resulting in fire or injury.
