Frequently Asked Questions - ST 40 TEAM

How to assemble the Team ST 40 vacuum cleaner?
Unpack the appliance and its accessories. Connect the hose into the opening on top until it clicks. Assemble the tube onto the hose handle, then attach the combination nozzle or another accessory to the end of the tube.
How to use the combination nozzle on different floors?
The combination nozzle has two positions: brush retracted for carpets and rugs, brush extended for hard floors (tile, parquet). Change the position by pushing the pedal or turning the brush.
What to do if the bag full indicator turns red?
The red indicator means the bag is full or there is a blockage. First check if an object is blocking the suction. If not, replace the dust bag. Note: on thick carpet, the indicator may light up temporarily: lift the brush and if it stays red, change the bag.
How to replace the dust bag?
Unplug the appliance, detach the hose, open the cover by pressing the release button, remove the bag holder, discard the old bag, insert a new Swirl Y101 bag by sliding the cardboard, replace the holder, close the cover and reconnect the hose.
How to clean the filters?
The motor filter (at the motor inlet) and the air filter (under the rear grille) can be cleaned with water and detergent. Remove them, wash, rinse and let them dry completely before putting them back. Clean them about every 3 months.
Can the Team ST 40 vacuum liquids?
No, this vacuum cleaner is designed for dry vacuuming only. Do not vacuum any liquids, as this could damage the appliance and pose a danger.
The vacuum cleaner no longer picks up properly, what should I do?
First check if the bag is full or if there is a blockage in the tube or hose. If the indicator is red, replace the bag. If the problem persists, check that the filters are not clogged and clean them. If nothing works, take the appliance to an authorized service center.
How to rewind the power cord?
After use, unplug the vacuum cleaner and press the cord rewind button. The cord will retract automatically. Hold the plug to prevent it from whipping.
Does the vacuum cleaner have an automatic shut-off?
No, this appliance does not have an automatic shut-off. You must turn it off manually using the on/off switch. Never leave it unattended while powered.
What accessories are included with the vacuum cleaner?
The included accessories are: a combination nozzle (for floors), a combination crevice tool/brush for upholstered furniture, and a narrow nozzle for hard-to-reach areas. They attach to the handle or tube.
