  • It is advisable to set the electronic power regulator to the minimum position MIN before switching on the appliance. By sliding the regulator button, the suction power can be adjusted. You can also adjust the suction power by using the wind-force adjuster on the handle of the flexible hose. Use a low suction power for furniture and other delicate surfaces and use high suction power for fitted carpet and other floors.

AFTER USE

  • Stop the vacuum cleaner by pressing the ON/OFF switch.
  • Unplug the appliance from the power supply.
Simply press the cable rewind button to activate the cable rewind mechanism.
  • The carrying handle can be used to move the appliance. Never use the handle of the dust container to carry the appliance!
After use we advise you to empty the dust collector to avoid smells and mildew that could be caused by damp dust particles that may have been vacuumed, and also to guarantee an optimal efficiency during the next use. To do so, see below.

EMPTYING THE DUST COLLECTOR (see page 4)

  • Press the release button of the dust container (fig. A) and pull the dust container out.
  • Hold the dust collector over a dustbin, press the unlocking button underneath the handle of the dust collector to open the lower cover of the dust container and spill the rubbish (fig. B).
  • Close the dust collector and put the dust collector back in the appliance until it locks in place.

CLEANING THE FILTERS (see pages 4-5)

Filters

The filter system consists of: 2 multi-cyclone filters to vacuum the smallest particles (in the dust container)

2 motor filters (on top of the appliance, next to the dust collector)

1 air filter, to vacuum the smallest particles (at the back of the appliance)

It is necessary to clean the 3 last filters regularly to avoid operating problems.

Motor filter (fig. C-D-E)

To clean the motor filters (filters situated next to the dust collector), switch off the appliance, take out the dust collector and take out the filter housing that is situated on top of the motor. Take the bracket with the filters out of the filter housing and remove the grey filter to wash it in soapsuds (approximately every 3 months). Then wash the bracket with the white motor filter in soapsuds. When the filters are completely dry, put them back in the appliance. To do so, put the grey filter back in the bracket with the white filter. Then put the bracket with the motor filters back in the filter housing and put it back into the appliance in a correct way.

Air filter (fig. F)

This air filter (situated behind the grid at the back of the appliance) guarantees fresh air during cleaning. It should be replaced approximately every 3 months (depending on the operating frequency).
- Switch off the appliance, open the grid, remove the filter and clean it in soapsuds. When it is dry, put it back and close back the grid.

NOTE: After a certain number of cleanings the filters will be damaged or impossible to get back in their initial shape. In such case, please contact the nearest customer service to obtain new filters.

Cleaning the dust collector

Press the release button of the dust container (fig. A) and pull the dust container out.
- Press the unlocking button on top of the handle of the dust collector to remove the lid of the dust container with the multi-cyclone filters (fig. B).
Clean the inside of the dust collector and the lid with the multi-cyclone filters with a damp cloth or sponge, but make sure they are totally dry before using the appliance again.
- When the dust collector and its lid are completely dry, put the lid back on the dust collector and press until it clicks into place. Put the dust collector back in the appliance until it locks in place.

PRACTICAL HINTS

  • When cleaning stairs, we advise you to keep the unit in a vertical position.
  • The floor brush is equipped with a hook, allowing you to attach the tube to the rear part of the appliance when it is in use, for instance when you want to move a piece of furniture, or after use when storing your appliance.

  • The vacuum cleaner requires no regular maintenance other than the filter cleaning tasks as detailed here above.
If you notice a loss of suction power, it is probably due to one or a combination of the following events: blocked filter, full dust collector or blockage in tubes. If your appliance still does not work properly after you have checked those problems, please ask a qualified electrician for advice.
