USER MANUAL FG 1 TEAM
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the rating plate of the appliance before using the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or incompetent persons.
From time to time check the appliance for damages. If it is damaged it should be repaired by a competent qualified electrician (^) . Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified electrician (^) .
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface to prevent it from falling down.
Let the appliance cool down before cleaning or storing it.
Make sure the cord does not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch these hot surfaces.
Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc...when it is in use, as a fire might occur.
Be careful not to scratch the special coating of the cooking plate, as you might get little pieces of this coating into the food. Use a classical wooden spatula or a heat resistant plastic one.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially since it is not equipped with an on/off switch.
Only use the appliance for food that is supposed to be cooked.
Competent qualified electrician : after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.
USE
- When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is not harmful and will disappear after a short while. However, we advise you to operate the appliance empty for about 10 minutes before using it for the first time.
The non-stick coating allows you not to make use of grease or oil for most foods. For low-fat foods such as fish or vegetables, you can grease the grill plates. However, to grill meat or marinated food, grease is not necessary. - Open the grill to make sure there is nothing on the grilling surface. Close the grill and insert the plug into the power socket. The red power light will come on, indicating that the appliance is heating.
- When the temperature is reached, the green pilot light illuminates. The pilot light will come on and out according to the heating cycle. This means that the thermostat regulates the temperature automatically during use.
- Caution: the grill plates become very hot during use. Pay attention not to get burned.
- When the grill has reached the right temperature, open it by lifting the upper plate.
- Put the foods on the lower grill plate and close the lid.
- Slide the grease collecting tray under the grease draining opening of the grillplate, in order to collect the grease that might come out of the grill during use.
- Let the foods grill. As all foods have a different baking time, it is impossible to predict their exact baking time. In order to avoid overcooking, check the foods regularly during the grilling process
- When the foods are ready, remove them from the grill and put them in the appropriate dish. Do not use any sharp metal utensils to remove them from the grill, as this might damage the non-stick coating. Use a wood or plastic spatula.
- Unplug the appliance after use.
CLEANING
- Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning it.
- Clean the grill plates with a damp cloth, sponge or paper towel.
To make cleaning easier use a wooden or plastic spatula to remove food residues from the grooves of the grill plates. Do not use hard, sharp utensils. If the grill plates are very dirty, use mild washing-up product. Rinse with hot water and dry the plates carefully. The cleaning succeeds best when the grill plates are still slightly hot.
To clean the housing, use a damp cloth, if necessary with some mild washing-up product. - Never clean your appliance with abrasive products.
Make sure no water penetrates inside the appliance. - Never clean the appliance under running water. Never immerse it in water or any other liquid.
