How to clean the TEAM GR 9 grill plate?

Before cleaning, set the thermostat to the minimum position, unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Remove the thermostat plug. Clean the external surfaces with a slightly damp soft cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or scouring pads that could scratch the non-stick coating. Never immerse the appliance in water.

Can I immerse the grill plate in water?

No, never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, whether for cleaning or for any other reason, even if the cord is unplugged. If water leaks at the electrical connections, let it dry before next use.

What is the maximum temperature of the grill plate?

The maximum temperature is 240 °C, corresponding to position 5 of the thermostat, recommended for cooking meat.

How to assemble the thermostat on the appliance?

Connect the thermostat plug to the appliance ensuring it is fully inserted. Check that the thermostat knob is on the minimum position, then plug the standard plug into a grounded wall outlet. The replacement thermostat must be reference CTW-300.

Should the appliance be preheated before cooking?

Yes, it is advisable to preheat the grill for about 10 minutes without food to remove manufacturing residues and the new smell. For optimal cooking, wait for the indicator light to go off, indicating the desired temperature is reached.

PRAKTISCHE HINWEISE

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.

Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.

Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.

☐ Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
□ Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
From time to time check the appliance for damages. If it is damaged it should be repaired by a competent qualified electrician (1). If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an identical power cord or a cord similar to the original one and showing the same characteristics. In case of doubt or if you do not find an identical power cord, please contact the nearest customer service.
☐ Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
☐ Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever even if you have removed the thermostat.

Before cleaning or storing the appliance, always unplug it and let it cool down.

☐ Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance. Especially the power cord and its connector as the latter is equipped with a specific safety regulation.

☐ Make sure the cord does not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
☐ The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch these surfaces, always use the handle.

☐ Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

BEFORE FIRST USE

• Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. "Cleaning and care"). It is recommended to heat up the grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell.
• Ventilate the room during this period.

OPERATION

• Insert the plug with thermostat into the appliance (cf. "Assembly"), make sure the thermostat is on its minimum position and put the plug in an earthed power socket.
• Install the drip tray. To do so, slide it between the front feet of the appliance so that it is situated under the hole for fat outflow.
• Select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. The pilot light will come on, indicating that the appliance is heating.
• Preheat the grill to reach the ideal cooking temperature. When the appliance reaches the desired temperature, the pilot light will go out.
• Now put the foodstuffs onto the grilling surface.
  • The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.
• When grilling is finished, switch off the grill and disconnect it.

Attention! Use the appliance only with a thermostat with reference CTW-300.

PRACTICAL HINTS

• Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
- To grill meat, put the thermostat in its maximum position and preheat the grill. For other ingredients, choose the temperature accordingly.
- Never scratch the special non-stick coating. Use a wooden spatula or a heat resistant plastic spatula.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Before cleaning, put the thermostat in its minimum position and make sure that the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket.
• Let the grill cool down thoroughly and unplug the thermostat from the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance or the plug in water or any other liquid. However, should there be water on the electric connection, wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it anew.
• Wipe the outer surfaces of the grill with a damp cloth and dry afterwards.
  • Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners as these might damage the non-stick coating.
