Frequently Asked Questions - WA 6 TEAM

How to clean my TEAM WA 6 waffle maker?
Unplug the appliance and wait for it to cool completely. Wipe the interior and corners with paper towels or a soft cloth. Clean the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water and do not use abrasive cleaners.
Why is there smoke during first use?
The non-stick coating may produce slight smoke during the first heating. This is normal and safe. It disappears after a few minutes. Ventilate the room if necessary.
What if the green indicator light does not come on?
Check that the appliance is properly plugged in and that the socket works. If the red light is on, the green may take a while to light up. If the problem persists, contact a qualified service.
Can I use metal utensils on the plates?
No, do not use metal or sharp objects as they may damage the non-stick coating. Use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula.
How to get crispy waffles?
Follow the recipes in the manual, especially the crispy waffle recipe. For extra crispiness, do not close the handle latch so that the top part lifts slightly. This also prevents overflowing.
Can the appliance be left plugged in permanently?
No, always unplug the appliance after use. It does not have an on/off switch, so it remains powered when plugged in. Do not use an external timer or remote control.
Can I use store-bought waffle mix?
Yes, it is possible but results may be disappointing in terms of appearance and cooking. It is best to prepare your own batter according to the provided recipes for a better result.
How to store the appliance?
Allow the appliance to cool completely, clean it, then store it in a dry place. Avoid wrapping the cord around the appliance and do not twist it.
What to do in case of breakdown or damaged cord?
Do not use the appliance. Have it checked and repaired by a qualified competent service. The damaged power cord must be replaced only by a professional.
Is the appliance suitable for people with reduced mobility?
The appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced capabilities without supervision. Hot surfaces pose a risk. Do not leave unattended and keep out of reach of children.
