BEFORE INITIAL USAGE

y Remove all packaging material. y Clean the iron base (see cleaning and care). y Open the cover of water fill-in opening and fill distilled water into the water. For this, use the measuring cup. Carefully shake the appliance. y Press the spray button to allow possible remaining water to come out more easily. Notice: With conventional steam ironing, water may leak from the soleplate if a too low temperature has been selected. If this happens, turn the temperature regulator to the advised position. Steam will recommence as soon as the appropriate temperature has been reached. SELF-CLEAN FUNCTION You can use the self-clean function to remove scale and impurities. Use the self-clean function once every two weeks if the water in your area is very hard. CLEANING y Before cleaning the Iron ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has completely cooled down. y Deposits on the soleplate may be removed with a rough cloth soaked in a vinegar water solution. y The casting may be wiped with a damp cloth and then polished with a dry cloth. y Do not use abrasives on the soleplate. y Keep the soleplate smooth. Avoid hard contact with metal objects.   • Repairs will only be made under warranty in case it can proven (by means of a filled in warranty card and the receipt) that the day the complaint is filed falls into the warranty period.
  • The warranty does not apply when defects or damages result from an accident, misuse, negligence (e.g. incorrect cleansing), or when repairs of alterations have been executed outside the authorized TOMADO service centre (excl. disassembling, as stated in the instruction manual).
  • The warranty does not cover any defects arising when the appliance is connected to the wrong outlet voltage, not following the guidelines in the instruction manual and usual wear and tear.
  • The warranty does not cover any defects arising from the lack of frequent descaling of appliances, whatever type of water has been used (especially for steam irons, coffee machines and water boilers).
